Morning Maniacs -

Well.....did not want to get out of bed and face the day, but I did and I did Butts & Gutts warm up and leg bonus segment followed by the Floorwork , Abs and stretch. I only burned 220 calories since most of the leg/ab work was done lying down.

I still can't believe that I'm out of a job yet again. You ladies don't know how many times I've been thru this over the past 10-15 years. I'm sick of working my whole life and not having any vacation time because I keep getting downsized out of places. I have my Exit Interview this morning at 8:30 am and my last scheduled day is the 29th of the month. Merry Christmas to you to!! There were no jobs in the paper last night. Today, I'm going to try to update my references and resume at work. I'll probably call off sick for a few days next week also, as I have 190 hours of sick time that I'll lose at the end of the month. Also, if I'm told I have to train the person that's bumping me, I'll be calling off my last 3 days also, as I'm not about to train someone to take my livelihood from me!!!!!!

Have great workouts everyone. I'll be back from work later.

ETA: Now I feel like locking myself in a room somewhere with about 100 Yoplait Very Cherry Yogurts and a bunch of chocolate from my favorite chocalate shop and not coming out until all of the painful stuff I'm going thru is over!!!!!
 
Good morning maniacs! ITS FRIDAY YEAH

I didn't have any energy to post after my yogax last night. I've been sore all week and the stretching was good, but I was asleep within 10 minutes of my head hitting the pillow last night.

Lora, there is probably nothing to say to make you feel any better. You must remember you are a survivor and have what it takes to get through this. Things that are out of our control are the most difficult to tackle. You've been dealt a raw deal...and learning this right before the holidays is a real bummer. I read somewhere recently that if you write down your anxieties and fears, you can then stand back and realize that you are much bigger than anything on that list. Keep your chin up!!

suz, you are right on with the yogax, I felt the same way about the 1st 1/2. It's my first experience with yoga. I was finding the downward dog so uncomfortable during the 1st 1/2, but then I was praying for more downward dog later on because it gave me relief from those difficult poses. I'm looking forward to the next session. I never thought yoga would be so difficult, and yet so rewarding. I really need to become more flexible and I think I will be going out to get some blocks today.

Netta, Eoin and Shiva huh? I will have to check those out after February. Man...you get up really early! Have a great day off.

Dallys..that's really intersting that you find big differences in Tony and Cathe and your weight tolerance. Working out with Tony I find is a lot like working out with DH at the gym. bulk bulk bulk! I'm tending towards the lighter weights with higher reps because I like the leaner look. I'm hoping Tony will give me shoulders like you, Char, and Diane Sue.

Hey Randi, did you mean Cardio and Weights, I'm not sure what c & T is. I have never done Imax3, but Imax 2 is one of my ultimate fav's.

Today I plan on doing Amy Bentos Upper Body nrg and core work. I am not sure if this is like the lower and the core is left on it so it makes the time off. I was wondering if total body 2 x is just upper & lower twice minus the core and multi joint. I checked the start and it left off the multi joint. The two lower segments on their own are about 35 minutes. I posted at Amys site asking for particulars. I would love to know what are on these before I do them:) Anyway for cardio I plan on doing an interval workout. Maybe I Max 3 and the cardio only of Drill Max{) I haven't been posting as much lately because we put our home on the market and I have been cleaning out cabinets and out looking at houses. This has kept me really busy.

Lora, I hope you find a job soon. Please don't eat the chocolate it will just make you more miserable when it is gone. One very cherry yogurt might be ok:) Bless your heart I know this has to be tough.

Amber, I loved Yoga X. It was my first venture into yoga. I felt so much more limber when I was done with the 90 minutes of yoga. That is why I continue to add some yoga to my workouts when I have time. I use bits of Yoga X. It took me awhile but I was getting pretty good at getting all of the positions on Yoga X. The only mistake I made on it was I hurt my self being over confident and doing the wheel right at the start. Ouch!

Morning ladies...
Just caught up. Didn't have time to get on yesterday. Buisy at work.
I am doing the rotation. Tonite is Legs. I am doing GS legs . I did B&G the other day so i am switching them.
Lora, i am so sorry about your job....And right at Christmas..

Not enought hours in a day...

Imax 3 is a killer.Super high impact. Imax 2 to me is more fun and doable.
I need to go back and catch up.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I did Yoga X. I have to say, I do not like it. I don't like the same moves over and over and over again. The best I did was get my head to touch my knee. I am not very flexible like the rest of them yet, but I stayed with it and finished and my body felt good for it. So even though I don't like doing it, when I am done, I like the way I feel so it will be liking eating fish and then knowing that I will have better looking abs for eating the fish, right? Instead of eating cheetos. lol

So today is Legs/Back and Rip up the ole' abs again!

My hubby's uncle died in PA. The one that was the personal trainer I mentioned about not too long ago. We visited the family this past summer. I have to get sympathy cards today and make some phone calls. He was only in his 60's. He stopped taking care of himself even though he would lecture to others about what to eat, how to workout, etc.

So your moving too? I am still waiting to hear from couple that want to buy our home. They are waiting until they get the cash in their hands before they put a offer on our home so I don't know how much longer we will wait.

i bailed on my WO last night. I didn't feel real good. Planning some cardio today. I still have DOms today.

Char- sorry about your DH's uncle. Great job sticking it out with that yoga. I bet you will start to like it a little the more you do it. So you don't like fish?

Lora- again, hugs to you. I have faith that it will all work out for you. I agree that having to train someone else is kinda like salt in the wound. Good luck.

Amber- isn't it funny how sore our bodies get when you change it up a bit. I love that!

Anne- Char's right--busy is good! How are you liking the rotation so far? I need to put one together.

DS- good luck with selling your house! Great WO planned.

You bailed? WTH is that about??? lol. Feeling better today? Hope so. I emailed you.

Well I just called the dermatologist. I am gonna get my veins taking care of in my legs. I am going for a consultation on Tuesday. It is $50 for the consultation and $50 for every 15 mins for the vein work. I don't have too many so I can't imagine it costing more then $500. I AM SO EXCITED!!!

Char--yes yes, I am hanging my head in shame.........I made an effort. I stared at the DVD's trying to decide, but the couch and blankets just spoke louder. I am in a miserable mood too, so I am waiting for the baby to nap so I can cardio my little heart out. I need some mood lifting endorphins. It is a half day at school, so 3 kids will be showing up about noon. Plus the baby and my boys! Oh fun!
That rocks about your veins. I have never noticed them in any of your pics. I am excited for you though!

This morning I did total body, 2 sets/15 reps each with 2 minute rest. I should have went heavier with everything except pullovers and preacher curls. Both of those got me good. This is what I did:

Decline DB Chest Press: 30's/32's
Pullovers: 35#
Static Lunges: 75#
Leg Extensions: 60#
Lateral Raise: 15's
Lying Dumbbell Tricep Extensions: 15's
EZ Bar Preacher Curls: 45#

Workout was 55 min and I was in my zone for 20 minutes and burned 222 calories. Pretty happy with that for 2 minute rest periods between each set.

Got an Avon order to put in by noon so I gotta get. Char, I'll pm you later. Lora - I hope you are ok.

Morning Maniacs! Today will be some form of Cardio. Not sure yet. I still don't have my DVD's, so I guess I'm not really doing the December rotation.

Lora- I don't know if I could even go back to work. You work at a hospital don't you? My BIL has gotten "laid off" every few years at different hospitals, he's a hospital admisistrator. It's like this everywhere he says. They get him in there to get everything running smooth and then ZAP! he's outta there, and then they bring in a replacement at half the pay.

Amber- I like the lean look also. I used the higher reps in P90X. I don't want to get any bigger, just more defined. Yesterday's workout was just so different I kinda threw a whiney fit. LOL!

Anne-Have great workout today!

Diane Sue- Why are you moving and where too? :)

char- you know that long first half of YogaX is building you some spactacular shoulders, don't you? If you think of it that way, it's makes alot more sense. Sorry about your uncle.:( Vein removal? How cool! Hope it works good for you.

It's my rest day yeah! MY whole body is sore. I didnt sleep good last night i woke up with a sore throat and i think i have a urinary track infections and i starte my period!!!!!!!!!!!
This sucks I do not feel like going to work!

Mornin'!

Me and my migraine wish all a happy Friday. I was supposed to work half day by DH got angry at me for wanting to go to work with my head pounding since I rarely call in sick so I'm staying home (awww - men!). A BIIIIIIG stresser at work should be over in the next week or so and maybe that will help. Look at me - complaining every day this week!!! I'll do legs and back later and ab ripper x. Really looking forward to it. Loving P90X. Tony's pretty fun.

Lora - you hang in there! I hope you saw my post last night: "you're a very strong person. You WILL make it through this. You've made it through MUCH TOUGHER things than this (think recovery!!!). Hang in there. 2007 will be your year. Don't give up."

Amber - I hear P90X gets people hooked on doing weekly yoga. Right after I finished last night DH ordered me some yoga blocks off of eBay. :)

Storm - Glad you could join us today. :)

Diane Sue - I meant to ask you why you were looking at houses. That's exciting!!! I can't believe how limber ONE yoga session can make you. Oh yeah - I did the wheel too - it did kinda hurt. Thought I was a kid again. I didn't stay in it long. :p

Well, I found whatever I didn't have last night and just completed IMAX 3! WOW! I must have been huffin and puffin quite a bit cuz my throat hurts now!! Oh well, it felt good. Now I am stuffing my face, so hungry!

Randi- man that sucks. you are going to be a hurtin unit today. hope you feel better soon.

Suz- I love it when you complain becasue you are so funny! Great sense of humor. Hope yo ufeel better.

Yeah, what is up with Tony just moving his lips and no speak? I was cracking up!!!! I have a hard time looking at him and getting thru the workouts with intensity. Very hard sometimes. He is a nut! Love it though. Gosh, hope your headaches start to go away. You drinking enough water? Eating?

Gosh, you sound like a train wreck. All at once. Too much. Get some cranberry juice and acidophillus pills. Drink tons of water. Hope you feel better.

Veins staying in. No out! lol. I think they put a solution in there and make them disappear. I can't wait to get this done!!!! I have had a few nasty veins between 17-25. I haven't ever got anymore except on the tops of my thighs from doing cheat curls with heavy weight..tiny spider ones there. Yup, I know. I have to think that I am sculpting, not what a boring pain this is. It is all in the mind. This Yoga is gonna be like what running is to me. No like, but will work like a charm once I program my brain. O.k., it is programmed now. Thank you. lol.

Suz, i can't believe you still have a headache. Sure they aren't cluster headaches. I swear it was the epidural that caused mine when i had my daughter... I used to really suffer...

Meg - I'm glad you found it! It must have been hiding under the blankets on the couch last night! Good job. I always ask DH what he's going to say at my eulogy and he responds "She never complained." :)

Diane Sue - I JUST noticed you PM'd me forever ago. I finally responded. Sorry!!! I'm a little slow. They also call Topamax "Dopamax and Stupamax". I think I see why!!! It can make it hard to concentrate and multi-task. Yeah, I see that. I will talk to the doctor about that next week for sure! I'd rather have migraines thank you.

Charlotte - Yeah, what is with Tony and the lip sync thing? It's like watching a bad foreign movie or something. :) I liked the one where he said he was looking the other direction because he couldn't stand to look at the pain on the other side. Too funny. No, I'm not drinking enough water. I did yesterday, but that was the first day. That will probably help my head a bit, you're right.

I lost a pound and a half this week. Yay!!!!
