Hardcore Fitness Maniacs For August 2015

Today I did Cardio Coach #5 again. Had fun and did well with it. Challenge 2 is 6 - 1 minute sprints with only 30 second rests. That one is a killer.

Workout was 54 minutes, ran 3.5 miles and burned 370 calories.

Diane Sue - How are you today. Been thinking about you.

Roselyn - Great job with your workouts!! Love BB, will probably start another round of that after STS.

Today I did STS Meso 3, Squat Rack Legs. Love this one but the rest periods are a bit ridiculous. I did 90 seconds instead of almost 3 minutes between each set. I just don't have time for all that rest time.

This is what I did:

Squats: 15's - 2 sets/10 reps (warmup)
Squats: 70# - 4 sets/8 reps

Barbell Deadlifts: 65# - 4 sets/8reps

Leg Press Station: 155# - 4 sets/8 reps
(Did this instead of front squats)

Static Lunges: 20's - 4 sets/8 reps

I added:
Calf Raises on the Leg Press Station - 155# - 3 sets/20 reps

Planks - 4 sets/30 seconds

Have a great day everyone!!!

Thanks ladies for your thoughts. It is going to take awhile to get used to the loss. Yesterday I did Slide and Glide ( so glad I am done with that for awhile, even though I do like the floorwork). I spent the day with my 4 and 7 year old grandchildren at Chick fil a and swimming. Then a 15 year old and 1 1/2 year old so it really kept my mind occupied for awhile. This morning was tough. I have not worked out yet. Taking grandson to drivers Ed and shopping first. Too much upper work this week. My neck and shoulders hurt this morning. I forget I sometimes that I am older and cannot work out the same.

Debbie, I always had to go much lighter for front squats. When I had the Bowflex I was able to get u dear the weight a bit easier. I miss it for the leg presses too. Nice weights.

I then did Turbo Fire Core 20, 20 minutes, 81 calories. I finished off with Les Mills Combat Stretch and Strength, 18 minutes, 48 calories. Total time was 91 minutes and calories burned 466.

Today I did Cardio Coach #3. Had a great workout but these early morning workouts are a killer. I liked working out at 8:00 during the summer. It's so hard to do it at 5:30. Oh well.

Workout was 40 minutes, ran 2.57 miles and burned 291 calories.

I got some of my dvds back that I loaned out :D Today I did Les Mills Combat 30 Live, 33 minutes, 201 calories. I then did Rapid Fire 4 using the customize workout. I did Kickboxing rnd 1, Boxing rnd 1, Kickboxing rnd 2, core, and stretch, 40 minutes, 200 calories. I finished with Cario Yoga with Kassandra, 12 minutes, 44 calories. Time was 85 minutes and calories burned 445.

Really sweated on this one, I usually don't even break a sweat with weight training but this one got me today.

Diane Sue - It was Christmas again, huh? LOL!!! Nice workout.

Roselyn - How do you like Beast Cardio? Is it fun?

Today I did STS Total Body followed by a 13 minute stretch workout with Zuzka on You Tube. Workout was 79 minutes and calories burned 304.

Debbie, I find it much harder to workout early. I sometimes wonder how I managed the 4;30 in the morning and then the long day afterward.. It does feel like Christmas. Not Roselyn, who would have Beast cardio fresh on mind, but in my memory I sort of dreaded it. It seemed like the warm up was long, then the cardio is pretty intense and there is some weights in it and jumping. I have a run down somewhere of the moves. I did it when I did the rotation but I haven't just for fun. Maybe others like it though.

Roselyn, good job on the Beast program.

Today I did Cardio Coach #6 with Candace and had a great workout. OMG, I had a puke status workout. Love this workout. You would think I'd get sick of CC workouts but I don't. I love them.

Workout was 54 minutes, ran almost 3.5 miles and burned 384 calories even though I think it was way more, My treadmill clocked me at 510 calories. I like that number better. :)

Hope you have a great day! I'll try to be back later for personals.

Today's workout was Turbo Fire Fire 30, 32 minutes, 188 calories. I then did Sharon Twombly Zero to Sixty mix, intervals and wanted a bit more cardio out of it so did rhe all combos but did not repeat the warm up and stretch, 51 minutes, 232 calories. TOtal time was 81 minutes and calories burned 420. I added a yoga with Kassandra for back pain from You Tube, 15 minutes en I was done.

Debbie, nice work. I would prefer the 510 calorie burn too :) I hate when I am sure I had to have burned at least double what my monitor says after I am nearly ready to fall on the floor from all out effort. I was trying to understand the process of Heart rate monitors and it said they are most accurate and a moderate pace, so maybe that is why when we work so hard they don't give a higher reading.

Bulk back yesterday and shoulders today.

Debbie, the beast cardio is hard but right now I am doing cardio only once a week, may start adding in some not missing it as much as I thought and I see more changes this time around with limited cardio. I love BB too!!

Today I did STS Meso 3, Week 2, Squat Rack Legs. Again, didn't take the entire rest periods. Only did about one minute between each set. Same weights as last week, my knees didn't like this one so I kept the weights the same.

This is what I did:

Squats: 15's - 2 sets/10 reps (warmup)
Squats: 70# - 4 sets/8 reps

Barbell Deadlifts: 65# - 4 sets/8reps

Leg Press Station: 165# - 4 sets/8 reps
(Did this instead of front squats)

Static Lunges: 20's - 4 sets/8 reps

I added:
Kick, Punch & Crunch Abs.

Have a great day everyone!!!
