Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for 4/23 - 4/29

Today starts Week 5 of this rotation. I had a really good workout and liked how I did it this morning.

I had a long rest break between each set so I hopped on my treadmill and jogged for the 2 minute break. I wanted to get my HR up a little more and that worked well. When I do Friday's workout with the minute and 30 second rest breaks, I'll do the same.

Today was 2 sets/18 reps w/2 minute rest.

Step Ups w/Band using 4 risers

Dumbbell Curls - 12's

Double Arm Tricep Kickbacks - 5's

Front Raise - 10# plate

Flat Dumbbell Flyes - 15's

Bent Over Lateral Raise - 12s

Ended up jogging 1/2 mile and burned an extra 60 calories.

Yesterday I did Les Mills Sports Attack followed by Amy Bento Kettlebell Squared W/ u and first combo of the short premix. I did not have time to go further.
Today I did Gym Style legs and Amy's Step Challenge 3, combo 1 and abs 1 with the Kettlebell. Workout time was 92 mi , cal 467.

Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Coach #3. Had an ok workout. I feel fat and I really need to get back to calorie counting. Will start back today. This sure seems like a never-ending battle anymore...

CARDIO STATS:
45 minutes total
8 minutes below zone
24 minutes in zone
14 minutes above zone
351 calories burned
2.25 miles traveled

Today, I did 4 day split all upper. I’ve decided that I want to throw in an X total upper body. I will be showing workout results since I’ll be lifting a bit heavier. I did get a new car; well…not brand new; but, new to me. I ended up getting a Mercury and she run and drive smooth. Have a great day all.

Debbie: I hear ya. About a week ago, I stepped on my scale and seen numbers I haven’t seen in 2 yrs:cool:. What did I do? I celebrate and ate like crazy think this went on for 3 days, yep it did bc my grand kids was over for the weekend; truth be told still off my game:mad:. I haven’t stepped back on my scale NO need I can see the gain in my thighs and pants are a bit tighter :eek:backk to writing down my meals. Cardio Coach….Good job, ;)

This morning I did Cathe's Circuit Blast skipping the stretch at the end, 39 min, 313 calories. I then did Les Mills Step 31 min, 256 calories, Max HR 158. My battery indicater is showing on my HR monitor so I think I am going to have to have the battery replaced. I have my newer HR monitor at the other house. Total workout time was 70 min and caloiries burned 569.

Debbie, it seems the older I get the harder I have to work at keeping the eating cleaner. I can sure tell when I get off track. Moving and being between two houses has had me eating out a lot and that makes it even harder to control things.

Teddy, I bet that you are enjoying the new car. So a total upper body X ?? I just got my P90X workouts back from my son. I had contemplated using them once this move is over and settled. I keep trying to track my eating but then I eat out and have no clue what to put in my journal so I give the day up. Actually my BF is not too bad and I lost a little weight but eating is not good. I hear you on having grandkids around. I end up with more junk in the house when they are over. I took my 4 year old granddaughter to Target and came back with Fruit Roll ups, chocolate chip waffles, kids cuisine, trix yogurt, chocolate chip cookie mix, butter popcorn. She wanted more and I said she was only over to spend one night. Then we went to Subway and a pretzel place at the mall. She ate like crazy though. Between her and her brother all of the cookies were gone and I only succombed to two cookies.

Diane: Yes I am enjoying my car.:D My Nissan was old (96) and was on her last leg, really. I thought about replacing STS 2 for P90X then thought nope  I said I was going to go all the way with STS; dang at least once  However after I finish STS onto P90X.

Great job doing Les Mills, man oh man; workout ain't easy:confused: When I last weigh myself I was down 11.5 lbs ( since I been back) which was great, now to afraid to look at my scale. But, so far today eating is good; eliminating sweets again :rolleyes:pass week I am to ashame to mention how much sweets I have eaten, that dam sugar blows me up every time. Now, I am focused again, Yay. These next 8 weeks, mean so much to me, don't want to finish the program and nothing to show for it. I really want to get my body somewhat cut up lol. I have been thinking of cutting back on my cardio to; plan is to eat clean and lift heavy:cool:

Teddy, that sounds like a good plan. I am not a big fan of sweets. I get little urges once in awhile. Particularly for ice cream or frozen yogurt. Otherwise I am more inclined to want salty snacks. Which is not good either. It sounds like your Nissan gave you some good mileage:)

My neck and traps are sore and a headache is coming on. I should have know better than to do all of Circuit Blast. Too much stress in that area. I need to get some things packed and ready to load up so I can head out to the other house tomorrow. I have been trying to declutter my counters and things for selling this house.

Today was total body and I had a good workout. Short and sweet, just like I like them! Only around half hour workout and then I got on my treadmill and did a fast walk up a 4% incline for about 15 minutes

2 sets/8 reps with 1 minute rest between each set.

Incline Barbell Press - 80#

Barbell Row - 70#

Squats - 85#

Dumbbell Military Press - 15's

Barbell Curls - 55#

Close Grip Bench Press - 65#

No workout tomorrow because I have to be at work by 7. I'm ok with that, though, because my workouts have been really good this week.

Teddygirl - What car did you end up buying? And seems we're in this together!

Diane Sue - I can imagine. Moving is stressful enough, then you have to figure out how you will be eating. Hopefully that is almost all behind you now!

Good Morning:D

Today, I did Legs & Glutes, that's it.:) Goal was to do Xtreme, but I did not feel up to it today, what's up with that. I did repeat serveral of the exercise:)

Debbie: I brought a Black Mercury Montego and it runs so smooth. Nice workout:) How is your shoulder doing?

Diane: Salt is not my weakness.... SUGAR. How is your neck and traps feeling today? I got 180,000 miles from Nissan, which was great, but it was going to cost me $180,000 to fix lol so many problems. My car had rusted so bad under the car. I was bless not to had fallen out on to the road, really.

This morning I did Cathe's Low Impact Step Challenge no bonus, 51 min, 388 calories. I then did Gym Styles Biceps 17 min, 110 calories. Total time was 68 min and calories burned 498. Maybe I should go run around the yard a couple of times for those other two calories LOL I need to do some cleaning up and am figuring what I can cram in the car with my dog after I drop off the grandbaby at noon. I will then head out to the other house. Packed some more kettlebells in there and some weight plates already.

Debbie, I still have at least another month before I am done watching the grandbaby and then we will move the really big stuff. We have quite a few heavy things and a 150 gallon aquarium that needs moved.

Teddy, my neck is somewhat better today. Nothing was helping the headache yesterday. I finally laid down for awhile on the couch to take the load off of it for a bit and that helped some. I was kind of afraid of doing the Gymstyle back segment even though it did not seem to bother the trap area last time. Those pullovers and band pulls kind of worried me. I am taking it with me so maybe another day.
Your car sounds nice. That is a good amount of miles for your car. Repair costs are so much anymore. I just spent 1400 on DH truck that is probably worth 3000, so I know where you are coming from. We still haven't put tires on it yet either. It is nice not having the payments though.

Today was total body with cardio in between each set. I had a most awesome workout! I ended up clocking in 1.5 miles on my treadmill with the 1 minute 30 second jogs I did in between my sets. Burned an extra 160 calories as well! :woohoo:

2 sets/12 reps with 1:30 min. rest between each set.

So I ended up doing two jog/sprints with each set and then rested about a minute between each new exercise.

Upright Rows - 45#

Leg Press Station - 145#

Flat Barbell Bench Press - 75#

Alternate Hammer Curls - 15's

Bench Dips - Body Weight

Dumbbell Pullovers - 20#

Fun stuff, I like this kind of workout.

Teddygirl - Nice on the car!!! :)

This morning I did Amy's Hi/ Lo Dome workout quick premix which required no weights, 47 min, 301 calories, 163 max hr. I then did Tracey Staeihles Glute Camp skipping the warm up and adding the yoga segment, 55 min, 201 calories. Total time was 1 hr 42 min and calories burned 502. I spent so long today going over exercises that would not make my neck hurt. Think I did fine today.

This morning I did Les Mills Combat 45 min, then I did 4Day Split Biceps and Triceps 31 min, and finished with Shiva Rea's Power Yoga Flow mandala namaskar segment 11 min.. I was thinking I have really not taken much time for stretching. Tried to find my small foam roller that I thought that I bought with me but have no clue where it went. Workout was 86 min and calories was a around 560 but my log is upstairs and I am feeling to lazy to go get it:D My legs are sore from glute camp yesterday. The thought of extra stair climbing is not at the top of my list.
