This morning I did Les Mills Pump revolution. Since I started yesterday with Pump and burn I upped some weights. I want to day I love this but the music is ok and the instructors are motivating. I think I am really going to have to lift heavier to get the most out of this workout which is similar to Power Hour. Workout was 57 min?? Did I pause because they said 55 min. ? Anyway 309 calories burned and max hr 138. I thought this was supposed to drive the heartrate up. Well, maybe later. I followed wit the Les Mills Hardcore abs 14 min, no equipment, 69 calories. I decided after all of this I needed cardio so I did Cathe's Intensity Hiit high, Hiit Low, Bootcamp and stretch. 40 min, HR 140-167. This burned 368 calories.
Les Mills is divided up into bodypart segments. The two that I have done so far seem similar except Pump and burn omits arms, shoulders, and lunges. It could be nice as add ons for bodyparts. Even the work sheets for weights just points out the body parts and you put in the weight. This one which is supposed to be the latter part of the rotation is still using same moves. More low ends and a few slightly longer segments. Maybe I will love it. I can see how I can work it into my routine. I like the music and the motivation and instructors attitudes. I added some weight and lowered some today. My shoulders do not need long heavy loads.
w/u 26 # I used my ez curl bar
squats 45# barbell total(that is another thing?? when they say 15# are they talking about one end of the bar??)
chest 26# after the shaking yesterday I decided that was enough.
Legs and back 35# ( I think I will up this even though it has clean and press because you get breaks)
triceps 25# ( was not looking so the low ends etc were tricep presses and not extensions LOL I was listening and did most of it as extensions. I used a 10# dumbbell for the last part that was standing overhead extensions because I was not sure what to expect.
Biceps 26# e z curl bar
lunge track which does a couple of squat segments 35#
shoulders was a bit confusing on equipment. If you were new and just had what they gave you, you would be pausing and reloading. I used 12 and 10 # dumbbells for the moves that they were using the weight plates for and the overhead press was 25# bar and was hard. By now my shoulders were screaming.
Abs, I used a 15# dumbbell this was nice.
Total time spent was 1 hr 57 min and calories burned was 746.
I have a plan this week to do Les Mills Pump Revolution, abs, cardio, Tuesday cardio and abs with weights, Wed Chalean extreme push workout # 3, Thursday Cardio abs and stretch, Friday Les mills Pump Extreme, Saturday Cardio abs stretch
Debbie, I am glad that there is not pain anywhere. Your workout looks good. I feel sort of silly but I do not know what you mean by leg press station? I do leg press on the Bowflex. Then Cathe has her leg press on the high step. I am just curious
