Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for 2/29

Last day of February. I can't believe it.

Today was total body again. Had a lot of energy and had a great workout. Quick workout, but a good one.

2 sets/8 reps with 1 minute rest.

Incline Barbell Press - 65#

Barbell Row - 55#

Squats - 65#

Dumbbell Military Press - 15's

Barbell Curls - 45#

Elevated Deadlifts - 55#

Then I jumped on my treadmill and did a fast walk up a 4% incline for 15 minutes. Then I foam rolled for about 5 minutes.

Today was leg day for me, I did Legs and glutes extreme

Eats today

B-egg white, protein powder pancake
S-2 energy balls (homemade) I am trying not to buy protein bars
L-salmon salad
S-protein drink
D-turkey, veggies,almonds
 
This morning I did an endurance training workout. Chalean Extreme Lower Body Extreme Zone no stretch 37 min, 209 calories. Chalean Extreme Intervals (cardio and weights endurance with lots of upper and shoulders) 40 min, 272 calories. Total time was 77 min, calories burned 481. I did have salad at Chuck E Cheese Yesterday along with one slice of pizza. Not too bad. I was still where I wanted to be when I put in my macros last night.

Roselyn, good job with legs and glutes extreme. The eats look good. I prefer making my own bars and balls. There is so much junk in the ones that we purchase. I went to Akins Market and purchased some things this morning so I could make some different recipes. Muscle and Fitness Hers had some nice sounding soups. I made the vegetable one and it was good. The only one I am iffy on is the one with apricots and cinnamon. I am not a real fan of sweet stuff added and particularly cinnamon. Maybe it is the recipes:)

Debbie, nice work. Those are good weights. I have learned that with so many exercises I would find myself lifting my shoulders when I should not have been. Right now I try to choose weights that work but I am not using the shoulders so much. It does make a difference but it is hard to cut back when I know I can use heavier weights but my form is not like it should be. I am sure that you will find what works for you.

Diane Sue - I totally know what you mean. I have way better form with lighter weights than heavy. And like you, when I lift heavy I use muscles I'm not suppose to. I just have to deal with it but I don't think it will be too difficult. :)
