Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for 1/20

Today was cardio and I chose another Cardio Coach mix I made up. This one included the 2 - 8 min. treks from CC #8, the 10 alternating climbs/sprints from PP and the 5 - 1 min. sprints from CC #6 by Sean. Had an excellent workout but my legs are so tight. I really need to start stretching or I'm going to be sorry. I did do the stretch from Gym Style Legs afterwards.

I have abs on tap for later on today when I get home from work. Not sure what I'll do yet.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I got to play "catch up" on my workouts. I am adding on GS Shoulders from the Back/Bicep workout several days ago cuz I didn't do the shoulder work so I am adding it on to the Leg work today and then doing abs.
 
Today was cardio for me as well. I had to take DD to school so time was limited. I did 4 DS LIS & HIS Cardio Premix, then the Triple Crush Exercise from Providence (this is just 2 minutes), foam rolled my low back & Hamstrings then finished with the 10 minutes stretch from Amy's 10 Minute Solution Tone Trouble Spots adding a couple extra at the end. Workout was 1:14 and I burned 558 calories.

I'm working out later today- slept in a bit. :) I think the KP&C on the rotation today isn't doing it for me- partially why I didn't get up to do it. So I need some fun cardio today- maybe that new KCM step boxing workout. I really enjoyed it the other day. I'm getting burned out on Cathe cardio or at least the ones I've been doing lately. I need to go back in time to the thong workouts or do some circuit cardio premixes. I haven't touched my Cathe circuits in forever.

Anyway, blabbing and posting my intentions here so I'll DO IT!

I finally got my workout finished. Had to take the girls to school this morning and went to two banks so came back and did abs and stretching. I did In the Ring skipping the stretch then did Kickbox Extreme using the interval premix. I skipped the w/up did the intervals and went back and did interval 4, I skipped the bag work (obviously I am not kneeing that thing) and did the core and a couple of minutes of the stretch because I had to leave. When I got back I did Hi/Lo Ko abs using 8&10# dumbbells, Body Max 2 abs using 10# dumbbell, Pyramid abs using 10# dumbbell, 10 minute solution 8 band workout with Amy abs using Cathe's heavy blue 8 band, and I did 3 sets of 10 reps hanging knee raises with a 10# med ball betweein dvd's. I finished with Stretch Max with the band. Cardio calories burned was 631. Total calories burned was 836 & 55% fat. My HR only got to 140 today. I was really babying my knee so I think the intensity was lower.
 
Morning ladies! I have been trying to post for a while. I had a great workout this norning. I did legs and abs and cardio. I alternated leg sets with ab sets to minimize down time. Here is what I did

step ups - 3 sets 15# DBs
Lunges with heels raised - 3 sets 15# DBs
low plane lunges 3 sets - 10 # DBs

hanging leg raises 3 sets of 15
ball pikes 3 sets of 15 (hard!)
9:00 and 3:00 with gliding discs - 3 sets of 5 (hard!)

15 minute incline walk on TM with weighted vest 14#s

This was a really fast pace and I like it. Kept my HR up quite high the entire time. I did one set of legs, then one set of abs, and repeated so i was moving the entire time but resting the muscle groups between sets.

Then! while getting ready for work, in my bathrobe - cutting up protein bars that I made last night - while trying to dig them out of the pan, I stabbed myself in the left hand - blood everywhere - DH out of town. I couldn't get it to stop bleeding long enough to put my darn clothes on! so I had to get 2 stitches and a tenanous shot. My had is really sore. won't be doing any push ups for a bit - but I should ok with all else. Probrably make tomorrow cardior or rest and then get back in the weights after it has a day or so to heal.

Ally - :eek: Sorry to hear about your hand! I did that once opening a can of cat food. Sliced my hand right up and needed like 2 or 3 stitches. The blood was everywhere. Yeesh! You had an excellent workout, though! Nice job! I'm going home right now to do some ab work and yoga! :D
 
Linda, I think Amy's 8 band 10 minute solution is my least favorite of the 3. It has some good moves that I really feel, but I have to use my heavy versa loop or grab the 8 loop furthur down to get more intensity. Still, I am not sorry that I bought it. Not sure if I am being much help LOL
 
Hey Maniacs!!!

Things settling down here at home as Bobby has been improving...very slowly, but he is coming along. FINIALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still coughing at night so I am running on little sleep here lately and starting to catch up to me. Kept my workout short and sweet as I am alittle tired and I can't stay away from Bobby too long just in case he would black out again, but only has once today. Going to see the lung doctor tomorrow, but so far all the other test have come back perfect...so thinking it was just a nasty virus from hell.

BB Rows like Cathe does, I think in GS Shoulder workout where she holds bb in front and bends back to chest and down, etc. Did with 20# bb 3/8
Overhead Presses 25's 3/8
Bent Over Raises 12's 3/8
Circle Flyes 34x's with 8's

LEGS:

Deads 130# 3/8
Plie Squats 100# 3/8
ATG Squats 100# 3/8
Leg Ext 90# 3/8

ABS:

Kickboxing Ab workout from 4DS.

Tomorrow I will do a cardio coach workout later in the day.

I'm tired today, but I'm sure my energy will come back as it gets closer to the end of the work day! ;) Will be doing cardio today.
 
Hi all, hate to post and run but I only have a minute.

I did my cardio today- went ahead with KP&C plus abs, burned 705 calories. That workout just beats me up- I find it so hard for some reason. My pikes on the ball were better, though- getting stronger. Then I did the LIC cardio premix and burned 476 calories- first time I have done any of that workout and I really thought the step was fun with great music. I think I'll keep that cardio mix as a good add on at the end of a tough workout.

thank you all for the well wishes on my hand. I am trying to figure out how to take a shower without getting it wet tomorrow. Maybe will have to do a bath, with head under facet for hair. Hopefully I will be better in a day or say.
 
Did Step Blast for cardio today. I'm pooped! DH made the baked penne w/aspargus and turkey meat sauce from this month's Clean Eating mag. It was yummy!

Patti...that's some calorie burn! :eek: You are quite the cardio junkie aren't ya? :p
