Cathlete
Morning Maniacs,

This morning I did Gilad's Cuts & Curves 60" followed by Self - Flat Abs Fast - Stab Ball, Pilates & Yoga segments 17". Workout was 1 hour and 20 minutes and I burned 330 calories. I then did Power to the Peaceful Yoga 50".

This Gilad workout was pretty good. I've never done anything by him before. I loved the beach setting (Self workout had a beach also) and I felt the burn. I still don't know why so many instructors make the high rep versus low rep heavy workouts. Lately, whenever I see a DVD with 10 reps, I get all excited, cuz I know I can do 6-8 if I want and heavy up.

Speaking of high reps....do people who are ectomorph's from the waist up even need to do high rep training for the upper body?

Diane Sue - I'm going to order those Mizuno's today. I went and looked at an old pair of work shoes (only ones I could find that were worn enough to see how the tread wore on the bottom) and the tread is worn on the inner part of the shoe and not the outer....so I guess I must overpronate? I viewed The Pit again last night and I really like the music. I have an idea. I might do the full body one but in place of some of the pushups, I might add in some pushing and pulling, multi jointed moves (like they use in Turbulunce Training, Afterburn or NROL) and only do some of the pushups. I was thinking I can do pushups, pullups, lat rows, etc. I'll see how that works.

Have a great workout everyone. I have my interview at Children's Services at 2:00 pm....wish it were earlier!

I'm sorry I haven't been around much, I'm going through some personal stuff at home. Things are working out but my mind and body are not where they should be. I was suppose to do legs yesterday but could not bring myself to workout. So I'm a day behind and will miss one of my cardio days this week. But that's ok. I feel really weak and light headed but I had an ok workout this morning.

Good morning, no workout today. Today is dh and my free day so we will be out and about. I was woke up at 5 this morning and out walking the dog for half an hour. Tomorrow I will probably do some light workout.

Lora, the Pit workout ideas sound like they might work well for you. You don't need a bag for the total body one. I have used the ab segment which is at the end of this workout several times now. I do like it. You are right the music is good. I hope the shoes help.

Good morning!

This morning was Power Hour again. I sure do love this workout. We'll see if my hammies stay sore until Friday like they did last week. :) I need to start getting up earlier so I can throw some cardio in there. Even a half hour on weight days would make me happy, although I'd prefer at least 45 min. I wonder if that will happen. I dink around too long feeding the dogs and the birds. I wasn't as tired this morning even though I went to bed late and took that pill late. I worried that I wouldn't be able to wake up. I think it just took a couple of days to get used to it. I'm getting great nights' sleep and I'm not even waking up to go to the bathroom which is AMAZING for me, as I used to go 1-3 times a night!

Lora - Good luck on your interview today. Fingers crossed. When I was in college I typed for Orange County Children's Services. So sad. I did that through Kelly Services for about a year and a half. I would train all of the new Kelly girls (as we called them back then).

Debbie - I'm sorry for what you've been going through. But I'm glad things are looking up. Hang in there.

Diane Sue - I'm glad you got your internet working so we won't be without you all week. Sounds like you have a nice day planned.

Lisa - Great workout!

GREAT workout Deb!! and I know how hard it is to workout when things in life are...off or crazy or whatever. I have been off for a couple weeks now...trying to get back to it..

More importantly I just wanted to give you ((((HUGS)))) I will send an email later - but just knowing you are plowing through your workouts is inspiring me to get back to it...I know I will I am just still on travel -looking for a new house...moving, new job/position, etc...

the bright side I suppose is the DOMS will REALLY be bad when I workout again :D

Cheers!
