Morning Ladies -

This morning was my challenge day on the rotation and I woke up feeling like I didn't want to work out ....which rarely happens. I went for it though and got into it. I did Firm Vol 4 "Time Crunch" followed by Cardio Sculpt Blaster (Firm). It was about 75 minutes or so long. I then did a half hour of Rodney Yee's yoga for athletes.

It ended up being a good workout. I forgot how good some of the older Firm workouts were, as well as how dorky some of them are. The outfits are funny and the little "dork dance" at the end of Vol 4 cracked me up. I never did do that stupid thing. Brings back memories.

Have great workouts everyone.

We're going to see Final Destination 3 today. Off to soak my poor aching shoulders in the tub.

It is going to be warm here today 50+ degrees. The last few days were in the 20's and 30's and it felt so cold after the warmer temps we have had most of the winter. Did any of you Ladies get snow? Lora, have fun at the movies. Lets hope you don't fall asleep during this one:)

Sabrina-My goodness that chocolate festival souded yummy. I think I gained weight just reading your post about it :) Who did you go with since your DH was sick? Is that a once a year event?
Dallas-Is the foot still doing ok? What family events do you have for today?
Marietta and Nicole - you gals must be busy this weekend. Marietta be sure and post your weekend workouts when you come back on. I know I am not taking a rest day today and I would bet you aren't either :)
Diane Sue-I looked at your pics again. You have such awesome abs! I would kill for that ab definition :)
Lisa-What store do you work at. I saw you said you did retail work. Did you ever feel up to a workout last night?
Susan-In case you come on today I hope the aby is being good and letting you sleep. Is your dh back yet?

Ok yesterday I went to the Lucky jeans store and I must tell you I do not know what all the hype is about! I actually like the jeans from the limited better and they don't cost 98 dollars! I cannot justify spending that kind of money on jeans. That was the cheaper of the ones they had there too! Also saw at some store the really yukky looking shorts they have out look like gaucho pants except they are shorts. Not for me thats for sure. I hope they get a better spring and summer collection out. The tops were cute that I saw though. I may go see Pride and prejudice today. It is showing at a Dollar theater near me. It looks good.

Good morning! This morning's workout was Hardcore Extreme #2. I think that is such a fun, intense workout. I work during the day today, and then tonight I'll be preparing for tomorrow's interview (3rd of 4 :p ). Oh, and of course I have to watch Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy :)

Terri--I work for Marshall Field's (to be Macy's this fall). No, I didn't work out last night..opted to write some reviews and do some reading. I worked out this morning (scheduled off day) to make up for it.

Good Morning Everyone!

I really wanted to get up early to work out, but I was so tired. We're trying to decide if we're all going to church or just half of us. I will try and get some cardio in later.

Lora ~ Glad you got a good workout in today. How's your ankle from yesterday's step workout?

Terri ~ Two words - Core Max! :7 I tell you, I stick with three workouts a week for my abs and it has done wonders for me. My dh has even commented! :7 Have fun at the movies. I want to see that one. I think we're taking the kids to see that nanny movie, I forgot the name. I have to remember to bring my own air-popped popcorn. :9

Sabrina ~ I got your e-mail. I hope I can get a babysitter. The chocolate festival sounds yummy!:9

Lisa ~ Did you work out last night? You had to be exhausted. Sometimes I tell myself I'll just do 20 minutes and then the next thing I know, I've worked out for an hour.

Hopefully, I'll get some kind of workout in later. My foot was a little sore Friday night. I'm sure I ran too long Friday AM. Hopefully, it will cooperate today. :)

My ankle's a little stiff and sore.....I'm such a klutz....nothing like tripping over your own 2 feet. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....I hate that DVD. Why do I continue to torture myself? I'm thinking I'll try the 2nd block a few times and if I still fall all over, I might have to E-bay it.

Well I did not get a workout in yesterday..... Other than riding my airdyne for 45 min. The weekend really through me???:( Today I plan on doing TLT Edurance one, and I will ride my airdyne.

Terri I agree with Dallas about coremax.....it is good... I remember Diane Sue was doing it quite a bit when the hardcores came out(She had GREAT abs prior to coremax though:)) I really need to pull CM out and use as a add on. Dallas thanks for the hot tip:) Soooo.. Terri ...you are not going to being wearing gaucho's??? LOL I just hope elephant pants don't come back haha. It makes me laugh when things come back. Although I do like my hip huggers now called low rise jeans!!

Dallas don't ya love it when DH notices those little changes.:7 You go girl!!

Lora isn't it funny to pull out those old workouts. When I pulled out Vol 4. Kai's dorky dance at the end cracked me up:D Although all those step up really had me sweating:D How are you liking your TLT's?? Have you noticed if you core is getting stronger??? Hope your ankle feels better. My hamstrings have been really tight this week. Doing stretchs throughtout the day......HELPS:)

Ok Nicole you had to see this question coming. :) Whith which have you seen the best core results, coremax(which I have) or TLT's(which I don't) ? I am still on the fence about the TLT's. Until the end of the month I couldn't fit them in to my routine anyway as I am still doing Slim Series with the Jnuary cathe rotation. So anyway I need you to push or pull me one way ot the other. Looking for Dallas's opinion as well and Lora's. Come on Ladies help me! On the dvd forum there is a good thread about the TLT's.

Terri - I've noticed results from both Coremax and the TLT's, but my abs tend to respond better to more frequent ab work and more aerobics. I tend to favor the TLT's only because there is no dread factor with them for me. The ab work is really fun to me in all of them, even the older ones. I sort of got a "dread" factor when having to add all 20 minutes of Coremax on to a workout, so I didn't do it often enough. Just my opinion though. I really love some of the original moves in the TLP's and TLTs, like the v-sits with the med ball and on the way down, you let the ball roll down the top of your legs (rollercoasters) and in the new TLTs, all of the twisting with the med ball and the crazy eights while lying on the floor with your legs up and weaving the ball thru your legs in crazy eights. They are fun and effective.

Last night my grandson stayed the night. I feel I have accomplished a lot of errand running and things around the house this weekend with no regular family get together. I went to the Mall and got my Estee Lauder makeup that I like. I needed something darker as I am using self tanner with plans to try the mystic tan later. I had the bonus of free lipstick and goodies:) Then I bought a new webcam for my laptop and set it up. Not much sleep last night though. My grandson sounded stuffy and kept rolling around in his sleeping bag. He fell off the bed at 6 this morning and then I was up for good. It was supposed to be P90X stretch on the recovery week but I also did iFIT treadmill Red Rock video. As far as abwork when I am doing it if I don't really feel it then I feel like it is not working. I use resistance on most of it. I have been doing that with Cathe's and other workouts for years. I do feel these on the P90X though w/o weights. I can't get away from the weights though. That is why the Bowflex resistance add ons. I have tried eliminating resistance before and lost some definition. I would like more definition,but haven't figured out how to attain it yet. Still trying.

Terri I hear you on the cold. It has been so warm here this winter. My Hyacinths are budding. But the last couple of days the wind and cold temps have been icy. It is supposed to warm back up this week though.Hope it is nice when dh comes home so we can ride the motorcycle some before he leaves

Terri I would have to say I have gotten more results with the TLT's..... because I do them:7 Like Lora I find I don't have the dread factor with these dvds as I do with adding on CM to my workout. What can I say I am lazy about my abs LOL..... The TLT's are REALLY DIFFERENT they seem to work your core throughout the WHOLE workout. They have all these different moves that I would never have thought, but I feel it working my core. Like those Clock squats. Although I really should get CM out maybe do 10 min??? Since you have CM you should just do it:7 and keep us posted!!!
