Good Morning,
I thought I would go ahead and start this. I think I have a fairly calm day today. I only have to leave the house once. I plan on doing some cleaning. My workout today will be a treadmill run, S&H Chest and Back, and some ab work. I will check back later.

Hi Ladies,

Today will be a run(nice weather is back) then some upperbody work. Diane Sue it sounds like you have a more peaceful day planned. I hope all is well with your daughter.

Dallas-I have been doing a version of the butts and guts rotation but adding more to it. I am trying to decide what to next. I will see what cathe posts for May then decide. Hope the foot is better and soon you will be back to your fav workouts. No word On Dave yet.

Marietta-I did Rythmic step yesterday and some core work and a slim series workout. I had done kickbox on monday.

Sabrina-How is your headache today?

Susan-WHere do you work?

Nicole-How is the cleaning going? Still riding the bike?

Debbie-Can't wait to see what you did today! You and Matietta come up with some great mish moshes:)

Today I am doing a challenge circuit with Imax 2 blast between sets and work abs later. I still have alittle cleaning left to do. Today will be cooler out so I might not be able to open the windows. Talked to hubby this morning. Feel better. Made me soooo mad yesterday. Hate to be mad at him when he is away on his business trips.

Some days when I read your workouts planned, I grow unusually tired. Wears me out just knowing what you sometimes are doing. Gosh! Maybe that is why you look so dag gone great!!!!!!

Good morning maniacs! No mish mosh this morning, I just did Rhythmic Step. I like this workout but it takes forever to get my HR up and I HATE the music. What was Cathe thinking when she did this workout? If it weren't for the fun steps in this workout, I'd never do it. Anyways, I should have used two sets of risers for the warmup to get my HR up. I was in my training zone for 41 minutes and burned 260 calories. I'm hoping to do some ab work this evening and stretching.

Last night I did a stretch workout and then did pigeon pose for about three minutes a side. This really helps with that tight muscle I have on my left side. I then took a tennis ball and dug it into my side to work out that muscle, and then I laid on a heating pad. This morning I woke up with no tightness and no pain. But now after I worked out, I feel it tightening up again. I will do this tennis ball thing until this pain just goes away. I'm glad it helped, at least I have a place to start.

Charlotte, can you tell me what your circuit blast entailed? Are you lifting weights between the blast sections of IMAX 2? Sounds cool!

I have a question for anyone. I'm new to Cathe and am slowly buying her DVDs. Do you think just Muscle Max is o.k. for toning, I do it 3 times a week. Is it better to split it up, and do upper 1 day and lower the other day or all at once?

Hey Debbie! I gave you the workout I was doing. It is the circuit challenge. Anyhoo, yeah I lift the weights then go onto the blast moves to keep heart rate up...cool, huh? Makes the workout fun too.

I don't like alot of music Cathe has in her videos so I usually improvise with my own. Is your chest still burning from all those pushups? MANIAC!!!!

Today, I had a hard time getting up again. Must be all this wonderful, fresh air. I know it's helping my kids to sleep better too. :) I did get in S&H Biceps and Triceps before I woke my little darlings for school. I still have abs, legs and a stretch to do. I have PT later.

Charlotte ~ Why thank you!! Yes, we want to see Terri's guns! :) Did you get all of your yard work done. I'd like to start planting my annuals soon.

Nicole ~ How are your boys? (((((HUGS))))) to you! I'm sure your stress level is high. :-(

Marietta ~ I couldn't see the pictures from the wedding.:-(

I saw the reply from A-Jock in the Ask Cathe. You got a good answer there. You really have a lot of options as A-Jock pointed out in her reply. In fact, I may try some of her mish-moshes with the MM DVD. She's brilliant!!

I'm sorry to report I didn’t get to HSTA yesterday. I was just too tired and a bit woozy from the cough medicine. I am going to do it as soon as I'm done posting.

Terri, I sell Ayurvedic herbs. I'm a Customer Service Manager. I have also represented several companies from India. My job also entails lots of Marketing and Advertising. I also work very closely with the President of the company and act as his personal assistant when needed. I'm sometimes asked to help out in Accounting ~ which I really don’t like to do.

Dallas, it IS the fresh air that help you sleep. My baby slept all day AND night while we were in NC. It was amazing. I think you ought to have one more baby. ;)

Debbie, I too love push ups. I used to do all 72 on my toes in GSCT, now I can only do FOUR on my toes. I'll get back someday.

Sabrina, how are you feeling today?

Hi Maniacs!!

My co-worker is not here again...need I say more??!!

Anyway...this morning I did a KPC premix and the following chest/back workout.

Flys - 3 sets of 12
DB Rows - 3 sets of 12

Barbell Chest Press - 3 sets of 12
Seated Cable Row - 3 sets of 12

Incline Fly - 3 sets of 10
DB Pullovers - 3 sets of 10

Pushups - 3 sets of 15
Pullups - 4 sets to failure

I did supersets as indicated above to keep myself moving and to get the workout completed quicker. Since I was working opposing body parts with each set, I could proceed without resting between sets.

Diane Sue - Hope you get to have the calm day that you anticipate. Hope Candy continues to feel better.

Terri - Enjoy the great weather...it's supposed to dry up but be rather cool...I can deal with that. Would like to do a nice run at lunch if the weather permits.

Toasty - Glad you are talking to you dh this morning (wink). Not sure if today will be good...I'll try to make the best of it.

Debbie - I like Rhythmic Step too...but do have the same issue with you in that my heartrate doesn't really go up with that workout. I have to do that with something else...but it's great stepping. Hope you get that tightness out of that body of yours.

Dallas - Did you try to view/open them? They are just attachments...Not sure why you couldn't see them. I can try again...let me know. Did you get new shoes yet?

Susan - What are Ayurvedic herbs? I bet you can do more than 4 pushups!! Is the baby still sleeping all night?

Marietta ~ I saw your pictures. I'm such a dope sometimes. I was looking for a link to click...anyway, you need to add that picture of you to your picture trail!!! You look truly fit!! Is that your motorcycle? Where's your hubby in the pictures? I got Mizuno Elixir size 9!! :eek: Had to go up to fit my orthotics. I'll try them out tonight at PT. Love that you post your details of your work out too.

Susan ~ Hush, about the baby! :p I'm really having that urge. What's wrong with me??? I'm over my head with my two boys! ha ha! Thank goodness my dd is an angel! :D

Awesome workout~ Wow! I love super-set type workouts. They are very productive.
 
Good morning fit ladies!

Today I did P90X Shoulders and Arms, and Ab Ripper X (I did ALL of those nasty Fifer scissors, so I was thrilled). I'll do a 3 mile run later today. The weather is so nice today - cool (but I love to run in cool weather), and SUNNY!! *Does happy dance around the room*

Diane Sue - thanks for starting the thread! Hope Candi continues to do better and that any news is fabulous news.

Charlotte - my DH travels a lot, too, and I am so superstitious about it. I hate being mad at him before he leaves - makes me certain something will happen and I'll never see him again. Glad to hear you've worked it out with your DH. I'll bet you feel 100% better.

Debbie - RS is one of my favs for the steps - and I love the challenge - how she goes completely through the right side, then does the left. But, yeah, the music leaves a bit to be desired.

Dallas - oh, good luck with PT today. Sounds like you've got a nice plateful today!

Susan - I hope you're feeling better!

Marietta - that is a great workout! I, too, love supersets! I'm going to right this down!

Terri - SUN!!!!! I'm going to go run and enjoy it this afternoon!

Thanks for all your support!! My DS10 got recasted on Mon. and that is going GREAT!! Yesterday checked my DS8 count, and DARN!! It dropped:( Going to check again tomorrow. I am really praying that it will have increased by tomorrow.

I am going on a field trip with him tomorrow...We should get back by 1:00 so I will take him in and get rechecked!! Will keep you posted!!

Susan happy to hear you little guy is sleeping through the night!! You have a beautiful family!!:D

Hey Wendy some people have good results doing the total body workout. Look at Sara!! She looks WONDERFUL and she posted that that is what her body responds to best!!

Debbie hope you are not stiff tomorrow!! It is amazing what a little stretching can do. I have been running with my dd and I tell ya my calfs and shin area have been sore?? I have been streching them throughout the day, and WOW it works!!

This evening I did an awesome ab mix. I did my three favorite ab workouts from Kick, Punch & Crunch, Step, Jump & Pump and Cardio & Weights. By the time I got to C&W my abs were numb! LOL! I was able to do all the inverted plank work and the regular plank work without going down on my knees! Then I did the stretch from Gym Style Legs (I love that stretch).

Nicole, you are so right about stretching. I'm going to roll that tennis ball around my injured area again, I felt really great this morning after doing that last night and laying on the heating pad. Tomorrow is my rest day so hopefully in a few days or weeks, this pain will be gone.
 
Nicole - Fifer Scissors are were you lay on your back with your legs straight, off the floor at 90 degrees to each other. Count to 4 slowly, and on every 4th beat you slowly switch which leg is in the air. My lower abs scream after about 17 of these! I did 25. I thought I had pretty strong abs, but I'm learning otherwise!

Debbie - Oh my! THAT's the ab routine I'm doing on Friday! That sounds like fun! Thanks so much for sharing!

I have good news. The pathology came back on Candy and there was no malignancy. She will have to live with endometriosis. I have been reading some on that as well. I am so happy that she is not going to have to go through a cancer. We have lost other family members through cancers. She is doing really well with the surgury. I am so happy for her. Anyway today I got did iFIT treadmill and added on when it was finished to reach 4.5 miles. My hamstrings have been giving me fits so I threw in a lot of stretching, then I did S&H C&B w/ stretches between and adding a few more hamstring stretches, I did the stretch twice at the end, then I followed this with Turbo Jam Ab Jam. I held my Jolies while doing this today.

Dallas, I check Cathe every morning while drinking my coffee. Most of the time even Laura hasn't posted:) I do get up early. It sounds like you had a lot planned for the day.

Marietta, I think I lost something here. Where are the pictures from the wedding?? Marietta, I like doing ss as well. A great way to get results and shorten the duration of a workout.

Susan, I really enjoyed your vacation pictures. Funny that you are trying to talk Dallas into another baby. I think grandchildren are the best:) You can cuddle and love them and spoil them and send them home. I don't have to stay up with them!! How cool is that. Actually there is a little discipline in there, I keep them and also want them to grow up right. I am sure you will get back to the 72 pushups soon the way you workout.

Charlotte, thanks for your thoughts and prayers. As far as my workouts I feel lately like I don't have a lot of time to think about them. I usually do lots of mish moshes and my own stuff.

Debbie, I have recently had a tight hamstring on my right side. Lots of stretch has helped immensely. Also sitting in the hot tub helps. Although I do not do it a lot as I feel like I am sitting there not accomplishing anything. I am not one to sit for long at all.

Hi Wendy, I also saw A Jocks post and I thought it was great. She had some ideas I had not thought of. I do usually do this as an upper and lower split and add some floor work for lower if possible
or my Bowflex.

WD, I'm so happy to hear your daughter is doing so well! That is great news. Can't they do something about endometriosis? I thought there was a cure for that, no?

Stretching is a wonderful thing. I feel like a new person whenever I take the time to do it.
