Morning Ladies-

This morning I did Power 90 Masters Upper, Middle Lower and about 20 minutes of intense aerobics (TurboJam Live). I know I've said this before, but TJ really gets my HR up there. UML is a workout similar to Core Snyergestics from P90X, except you do all body weight exercises (lots of pushups). I subbed some chest presses and flyes cuz of my shoulder/neck issues. It was a pretty good workout. It is only 42 min. long -- so this is a good one for days I have to be at work early!

I really like this P90 Masters rotation so far. My legs are feeling it this week. You don't use any weights on them, but I think it is set up to work the legs in just about every workout and then of course, there is Plyo Legs.

Have great workouts everyone.

Morning:D
Today I will do TLT BBBB and then GS BSB, and then this afternoon I will ride my bike. Last night I rode 6.5 miles.

Lora that is good that you are enjoying your rotation, and are working your legs everyday!! I am finding with my Susan rotation that I am really getting my glutes. (Just where I need it ;))

Good workouts to everyone who follows:D

Will be back later

~Nicole

Good Morning Ladies!!

Nicole,

Could you share your Susan rotation with me? I am still working on my backside. I love that I have the BBM workout plan, but always want to switch up for later...anything for my backside. It is so stubborn! The back of my legs are smooth, but I am trying to sculpt it more back there, ya know?

Anyhoo, I did Imax 2 yesterday, coremax 2 and 5 sets of squats.

Today I will do S/H shoulders, tri's/bi's and I have some raking to do outside.

Charlotte~~

Good Morning Everyone!

Lora ~ That's the one that I won on ebay..the one you did today. Do you like it?

Nicole ~ I think I'll do BBBB is there a lot of lunging in that one? I can't remember. Doctor still said, "No lunges." :-(

Charlotte ~ I hear you that area has got to be the most stubborn area. I've seen a great improvement doing freestyle training, but I still have some work to do there.

Marietta ~ Thanks for the advice, however I worded it wrong. Should I put shoulder with chest and back tomorrow? Or should I work shoulders Saturday, separately? Yesterday, I did GS - Biceps and Triceps because of some DOMS in my back and a little in my shoulders.

So far I've done CM#3 and SM#3. I like doing cardio first, but just wasn't feeling in the mood this early AM. I'll be down on the treadmill soon. :) I may do BBBB. I'll watch it again while on the treadmill.

Hi Everyone! Have great workouts!

Dallas

ETA: The phone rang and I wanted to come back and add about the dr. appt. It wasn't all that I wanted to hear, but she reassured me I would be doing the things I love to do...I just have to give it time. She said there's probably a tear in there, but not a thru and thru tear (whatever that means). She said until it fills in with scar tissue I have to stick with low or no impact for another 2-3 weeks. :-( At least, I can do something. :) I'm thinking jogging in the pool would be good. I just wish I didn't have to put the kids in the daycare at the gym. Marietta, can you provide a link for that hook up for your bike. Maybe I could do some bike riding like Nicole. :) She said lunges should be the very last thing I add back in to my workouts. Oh, but I love them so much ;-) ...not, but they work! She did mention after 3 weeks I'll have to go for an MRI or/and ultrasound therapy (have no idea what that is either). I can't remember which. Sorry so long.

Morning ladies!

Lora-Glad you are enjoying your workouts.

Nicole-looks like you have a good workout planned! You go girl!

Charlotte-Raking outside?? You mean you have some nice weather??? Send it this way. I am so ready for it to be warm.

Dallas-Sorry the doc didn't tell you what you wanted to hear. Take it easy and it wont be long before you are back into it 100%.

I am going to peel wallpaper out of my kitchen today. Woo hoo! NOT!! lol I just want the new stuff up, why do I have to take the old down?? haha It is not going to come down without a fight either.

I would like to get a workout in later but I will have to wait and see. DH is home since his car is being worked on and he has a couple meetings he has to dial into here at home. I will have to keep Ethan quiet.

Have a great day ladies! I will be back later!

Good Morning!!

This morning I did KPC (Intensity Drills and combos 2&3), then I did some chest work. Think I'll be doing some running at lunch.

Rock On Lora!!

Toasty - I think that rotation that Nicole is doing calls for the TLT workouts....Is that right Nicole? I heard they are the bomb...I don't have them though.

Nicole - I think that I can tell a difference from doing the butt work. The changes are very subtle.

Dallas - Hey, I personally would work shoulders separately, but if you feel like you can do them and give them a good workout...go for it. You asked about numbness in the feel during the elliptical...yes, I have had that problem. I found that I have to be sure to wear shoes that have a wider toe in them...also I wear thinner socks and wiggle my toes and switch directions until I can get the feeling back again. I can ususally go about 30 minutes until the numbness begins. Interesting to hear about your appointment. You know I've been following quite closely and I don't recall hearing you say anything about a tear. Is that your first time hearing that too? Why don't they do an MRI now to find out exactly what is going on instead of guessing? Do the lunges bother you because you cannot bend your foot? I could ask a million more questions...but I won't. I'm just trying to understand that's all. I'm going to do some searching for a trainer for my bike and I'll let you know what I find out. ok?

Hi to all that follow...I'll surely be back later!

Wow everyone is already up and at it todsy! I have slow and heavy bi's tri's shoulders today and will add a run and later a SS workout. (maybe) Well the 70's are gone today! Supposse to be 38 and snow but I have yet to see any snow. I hope it holds off until later. I have a busy morning.

Marietta-So you start th march rotation next week? I think it will work well for your run training. next wek she says"cardio of choice" several days so it does let us run more theen say her Jan. rotation. I was imaxed out in that :)
Dallas-I was going to ask the same question Marietta did, When did they tell you that you have a tear? Well hopefully by the time you get back from your trip you will be able to get back to higher impact.
Sabrina-Come on over and do some decorating here too :)
Nicole-It seems likeyou have really added more to your workouts. This rotation seems to agree with youthat Susan made!
Lora-I keep thhinking about p90x. Any thoughts?
Susan-How are you doing?
Charlotte-How do you like march's rotation so far?

I will check back later.

Terri

Hey Everyone!

I had to cut my treadmill time short.:-( The delivery guys got here too early. I did get 35 minutes in, but I was going for 45-60. Oh well. This afternoon is busy, so I'll have to call it a day with the work out. :-( No, I had never heard about a tear before. She didn't say definitely though. Maybe because it's taking so long to heal? I don't know.

I am excited that I booked a princess dinner at Epcot for my dd's 8th b-day!!!:7 She'll be so surprised! I can't wait!:7 :7 :7 :7 I have to get back on the phone w/Disney and make a few more character reservations! Yippee!

Marietta ~ I e-mailed you before I saw your post. Wait until you see it...weird!;-) You must have read my mind. lol

Nicole ~ I watched BBBB while working out. I didn't realize all the lunges in that one. I did get a bright idea though. I might take the floorwork from BBBB and another TLT and see what kind of workout I can get. Maybe I'll do PLB floor first and then TLT.

Where is Susan? I hope all is well!

Sabrina ~ How's the wallpaper coming down? That can be quite the job!

Terri ~ Who's going to SD with you? I bet you can't wait!

Charlotte ~ I saw your post about family members eating once a day. What's up with that? That sounds familiar. I'm always hungry when I go visit my family too. ha ha!

I'll try checking back tonight!

Dallas

Dallas-I am anxious to go but not sure when it will happen. The next two weeks should give me an idea. I am going by myself or with Dave and Ashley. Either way is o.k. with me. Some alone ME time would be good :)

Terri

Hey Everyone,
Charlotte I so KNOW what you are talking about!! I want a tight butt!!! I got these 4 TLT's dvds in Feb., but I was really starting to miss my Cathe strength. So I asked my Dear friend Susan and this is what she came up with.:D

Nicole,
This may not be an *exact* rotation, but these are ways I'd vary the TLT's with Cathe. I wasnt specific with Cardio.

Week one:
FYC, GS-Chest and Triceps
SIM, Cardio
BBBB, GS-Back, shoulders, biceps
EFM, Cardio, TB Stretch
Core Max, GS-Legs
IMAX (of choice)
Off

Week two:
BBBB, L&G(standing), C&W abs
FYC, Cardio
SIM, GS-Chest and Triceps
GS-Back, Biceps, shoulders, short cardio, SJP abs
Cardio, ME abs
EFM, PLB floorwork and GSL floorwork
Off

Week three:
PS-Chest, Shoulders, Cardio
FYC, PS-Back
SIM, PS-Legs
HSTA, ME abs and BC abs twice
EFM, PS-Triceps and Biceps
Cardio, Stretch Max
Off

Week four:
SIM, SH-Chest
FYC, SH-back, Cardio
BBBB, SH-Biceps, Core Max
EFM, SH-Triceps
Firm It Up, Leaner Legs, short cardio
SH-Shoulders, Kickbox
Off

BTW the dvds that I am talking about are these http://www.tracielongtraining.com/ They have clips of the workouts, and College video has them as well if you want to see what they are about... I think they are a wonderful addition to Cathe.

Lora when you were doing these did you notice they all really seem to have a lot of glute work in them??

Dallas I know what you mean I space things so you really don't think you are doing that many lunges???? But it really does!! Do you think you could modify when Tracie is doing lunges could you do squats??? I am really liking the plank work in these.......It makes them *FUN*.

Marietta you have yet inspired me again:7 I was going to blow off my BBM exercises today, but I think I had better not......Now that you are seeing results!! That is GREAT!! You keep workin it :7

Sabrina Susan wrote up the above rotation.........isn't it GREAT!!

Terri I know what you mean:D I can't believe I am working out so much:7 It is fun when you are doing something new and different!!

Take care,
~Nicole

Good afternoon (evening) Ladies. Dallas suggested I pop in and say hi. She thinks I might be able to keep up with y'all (Don't know - reading your workouts makes me sweat just sitting here!).

I did BBBB this morning and over lunch took a spin class at my gym for 45 minutes. I just started with the Tracie Longs, but I can see how they'll become addicting! And I was thrilled to see Nicole's post on the Tracie Long/Cathe rotation as I was thinking the same. I love her movements, but there's something SOOO satisfying about lifting iron.

Hello Again...

I did a 5-mile run at lunch today and one set of BBM. Looks like I'm done for the day.

Dallas - I'll go check my email...you have me curious.

Nicole - Do you have the P90x workouts? How would you compare them to the TLT workouts? I'm interested in everyone else's opinion as well. Hey, glad I inspired you...that's what we do right?

Hmmmmm...wonder where Susan is. Hope all is well with her.

Oh well...I'm drained. I'll probably be fine, once I get away from my desk and get the heck out of here.

Ta-Ta for now!!!

Hi Christine and welcome!

Marietta- I too am curious abour p90x.
Well all my workouts are done except the BBM set I need to do later. Nicole do you miss the Slim Series at all? Do you think TLT is maintaing the results?

Terri

Hey Christine! I think I posted at the same time as you..I missed your post.

We'd be more than happy to have you....your workouts sound like you may be a bit of a maniac yourself (smile).

I know you are into biking as I've seen a lot of your post on the subject. This is something I'd like to do more of especially since I've learned that I can get a "trainer thingy". I'll just have to go to a bike shop around here and figure out what will be best for me.

Dallas...I did find this website and they have all kinds of trainer thingys...can't tell you much more than that...maybe Christine can advise us?

Sabrina must be in wallpaper heaven...she's been quiet today. How's it goin girl??!!

bye again...

Christine WELCOME to the forum would love to have you join me with this rotation. I am throughly enjoying these.:7

Terri I think these are maintaining my results. I like how they are really work the lower body without feeling like I am killing myself. The more I do these the harder they have become for me. I really pay attention to what they are saying, and like when Gen was saying go lower...... I go lower and it is becoming quite a challenge., and boy can I feel it. In places I did not know I had :7

Marietta I do not have P90X I have power 90 and power half hour those are good, but I just like Cathe over Tony so much better. I have no desire to buy anymore Tony workouts. Who knows maybe I will some day, but I have held off this long, and people have been raving about these for some time.

I think Susan has these, and I know Lora has gotta have them:D I know people have gotten great results with them. Hey maybe you could try them, and let me know??? Oh and Diane Sue has these and seems to be liking them.....YOu can pick her brain when she gets back!! :)

Hey I just got 9 miles in on my airdyne!! I am really liking how I feel after I get off of it. I feel so good!! I am becoming a cardio Queen:7

~Nicole

Oh and Terri today when I did GS BSB.....When I did Bicep curls with the barbell..... I was surprised that I could do 25lbs barbell curls no problem????

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I know I have been accused of being a maniac (fitness and otherwise }( ), so maybe I'll fit right in. *grins*

Marietta, I'd recommend a fluid trainer. Cycleops has one, and you can even get one from Spinervals direct - they're on sale right now - $239.95. Avoid the wind trainer as they are simply too noisey - you won't hear the tv. The magnetic trainers just don't work as well. The other fancier ones work, too, but why pay more for not that much of a benefit? You simply attach the back tire of your bike to the trainer and prop up your front tire (I find that two step risers works beautifully) and go. If you have a mountain bike, you're better off switching out the knobbies for a slick (one inch tire with no tread). Knobbies are noisey too.

Nicole - I still need to get two more of the TLT's (probably next week I'll order them). But as soon as I get them, count me in. I think that would be fun!
