Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Wed March 15

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Sculpt 5-6 (Power 90 Masters) and Sara Ivanhoe's 20 Minute Yoga - Beauty & Sweat. I wanted to do aerobics and even got up 15 minutes earlier (which is a big feat these days) but there was a perfume oil update and I spent the extra time placing my order! Instead of aerobics, I kept the weight lifting aerobic by doing jumping jacks and other cardio in between sets. I opted to lift heavy and do 8-10 reps, which left me even a bit more time in between exercises for cardio. It worked pretty well and kept my heartrate up for the entire workout.

I think I'll do this again when I want to add a yoga practice on instead of cardio. I'm starting to get addicted to yoga. I find myself "craving" it. It makes me feel so good.....especially all of the twists, forward bends and hip openers. It is said that you generally carry a great deal of stress in your hips and the twists help rid the body of toxins. That must be why I feel so good after these movements.

I'm still not sure if the Down Dogs are what aggravated my neck and shoulders. I'm going to try a few more and see what happens.

Diana Sue- glad to have you back! I got my Cardio Coach while you were gone and did it over the weekend. It just about killed me. I did it one day on the rebounder and used my incline step to run up and down for the hill climb intervals. The next day, I did it on the bike. For people like us maniacs, Cardio Coach kicks some major butt. I got a discount on my next order cuz they forgot to send my first order, so I ordered 5 now and it's on the way. Guess what, I found out they have a Volume 6 coming out and a Pump one. They sent me a note with my confirmation email. I have my CC CD laying out on the stereo and every time I walk by it, I think about how it kicked my butt (although I've been fighting a stomach flu and have not been 100%).

Sabrina - Sorry about your counterbid stuff. I think the market is flooded with houses right now and Spring hasn't yet sprung...so hang on!!

Dallas - who was I supposed to talk to about Pilates? I must have missed that post. I ended up ordering Jonathan Urla's New York Style Pilates #3 (advanced), 10 minute Solutions Pilates & Breakthru Pilates Sculpt with Michele Dozois and Tracy York. I think most of these have hand weight segments and don't use body weight work throughout....and that's why I chose them. I'm really getting hooked on the yoga though. I ordered some Baron Baptiste DVDs to round off my collection. They have good prices on DVDs at Overstock.com. I got some for $6.

Hi to everyone else. I have to go back to the allergy doctor on Thursday for more tests. So far, nothing too impressive. Mild allergy to Aspergillis (an indoor mold) and slight Ragweed, but this is nothing I didn't already know. I have a feeling this is going to be a waste of time.

Have great workouts.

Good Morning everyone,

I had a sleepless night, not the baby’s fault. I just couldn’t go back to sleep after the 2am feeding. I watched a lot of tv though. I’ll tell ya, after seeing so many info-mercials everyone should have great skin, nice makeup, be totally fit AND rich! I did catch an Entertainment type show where celebrities who were pregnant and lost weight were featured. After seeing Heidi Klum with her big boob and skinny little butt, I had to make myself a peanut butter sandwich to make myself feel better. Hahaha Come on, it had been hours since dinner!

I went out with some girlfriends last night, for one of their birthdays. After a couple of margaritas and nachos they made the birthday girl get a shamrock tattoo. I left for home since it was getting late. I see them again Friday. I can’t wait to see it!! This was all planned. We weren’t hammered or anything.

Nicole and Terri, so you got a kick of me *complaining* that my dh stole my computer desk? Well, Friday he is putting in his notice at his job. With this new job, he won’t travel AT ALL. I’ll go from seeing him two days a week to SEVEN! Day in and day out, day after day after day… oh my. What an adjustment. It’ll be good though. Especially for the kids.

Sabrina, how exciting that you’re going to Disney World! Oh yeah, I’d HAVE to slit up a 19 hour drive. We’re going to NC next month, and it will be a 12 hour drive for us and we’re splitting it up. Hang in there with the job. Sales take A LOT of persistence.

Dallas, the website you pointed out yesterday is saved in my Favorites. I forgot all about it. There was an article on full body workouts I was interested in. Are you still looking for a rebounder? I saw one advertised called Body Burner.

Terri, how is your Dad? It’s a darn shame you can’t talk to your mother. Does your father want her to know he’s in the hospital?

Marietta, did you run track all through HS? I ran long distance. I was in the 1500 and 3000 meter races.

Charlotte, Isnt’ it great the weather is getting nicer to go outside for cardio?

Lora, how was your boss when you left for your apt. yesterday? Those Pilates workouts sound interesting. I'm going to give Pilates a try some day soon.

How nice of Diane Sue to pop in during her vacation. She’s so cool going off on motorcycles!

Morning Ladies!

Lora-Good workout. I have noticed that you have done Sculpt 5-6 quite a few times. What do you like about it? Be careful if you decide to try the Down Dogs again that you don't hurt your neck and shoulders. What oils did you buy?

Susan-It is so good to see you. Don't you hate it when you can't get back to sleep after those feedings. Sounds like you had a lot of fun with your girlfriends last night. Where are you going in NC? Not sure how we are going to split up the drive yet. I thought maybe we should try driving some at night when it wont be so busy but not sure if the boys would be able to sleep in the truck. I will have to think on it some more.

Terri-How did seeing your dad yesterday go with your son and Ashley? I bet your dad liked the visit. I hope he gets out of the hospital soon.

Dallas-When do you leave for Disney? I can't seem to remember the date. I have made a couple dinner reservations so far. I need to call back and make some others in June for the character breakfasts. I want to go to Cinderella's castle but I don't think the boys would like that. lol

HI to everyone else. I need to go see if my boys are up and get them ready for school. I will be back later. Have a great day!!

Sabrina - I do Sculpt 5/6 cuz I'm following the P90 Master's rotation and it is the only sculpt tape in the series, but I do like it. It is very unique and takes a different spin on most common exercises. I really liked it today when I kept it real aerobic. I'll be back later with info on the oils.

Here's part of what I bought with the oils:

Hey Everyone,
Today I plan on doing SIM, and GS C&T's, and then I will ride my airdyne later.

Lora my DD has got me stretching with her at night!! Last night we started with Cathe's total stretcch, but she liked Slim and Limber better (more floor stretch's) So I put that one back in. Tonight she wants to do Candle light yoga....This is one of my favorites...Must be a Sara Ivanhoe day:D

Susan nice to see you here so early:) , but sorry you missed some ZZZZZZ's maybe you can get a nap in today?? That is good your dh will be home. The boys will really like it, and in time you will get used to it;-)

Dallas I bookmarked that site. Will try and check it out today!!Let us know if you hear anything on your brother??

Sabrina what a bummer..Sorry :-( Hey just wanted to remind you that biggest loser is on tonight!! I told my kids to remind me!!

Diane Sue so happy to have you back!! Missed you, but so happy to hear you are having such a GREAT time with your dh. My dh wants to buy a harley, and go out West in 2009

Terri I have enjoyed Debbies Stretch the last 2 days!! Wow that has a lot of punch for (14min) I alway neglect my stretching?? I don't know why when it feels so good??

Hey Marietta I think it is a good idea about having my dd do Imax blasts. I will try and get her to do one this weekend.

Hello Charlotte, Christine:)

~Nicole

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I did an hour on the treadmill. I put on the E channel and they had a show called Celebrity Slimdowns on. It is amazing some of the transformations. Some of them worked out like 5-6 hours a day. I thought we were bad here. ha ha! That is just absurd, but hey they looked good!

I still have some floor work for legs. I'm not sure what I'll do and some abs. I have to start trying on some clothes so I know what to buy. The kids are almost set for the trip.

Lora ~ I love yoga! The more I do it lately, the more I want to do as well. :)

Marietta ~ Thanks for the tip on the lunges. I have done those before (LL). I'm hoping the doctor will call me today and then I can **maybe** start adding things back in...slowly.

Susan ~ Maybe it was the margarita that kept you up. I know if I've had a glass a wine or two that sometimes happens to me. How nice your dh will be home more!:)

Sabrina ~ Go for the castle! lol It is pretty neat eating in there. My dd is excited about that one too!

Terri ~ How's everything going?

Nicole ~ I forgot to tell you about the soup. It actually seems more like sauce. lol! I used the wrong kind of tomatoes, so I'm sure that's why. Guess what's for dinner tonight? ;-) Wheat pasta and homemade sauce. :) I have DOMS in my glutes and hamstrings and it has to be the TLTs (BBBB and FYC) fault. }(

I have not heard from my brother or sister-in-law yet. Maybe they don't have results yet?

Hi Charlotte, Diane Sue and Christine. I hope I didn't forget anyone!

Have a great day!

Dallas

Good mornig Ladies,

I am doing upper body from the march rotation. I will also do cardio kicks today and a SS workout tonight. I didn't get one in last night as it was late when I got home and I was tired. Dad is doing much better and will either go home today or tomorrow. Nicole he did enjoy Dave and Ashley coming to see him. Dave is very witty and good at getting people to laugh so that was good for him :)

Susan-I agree it is nice to see you here early. Too bad you didn't sleep well though. Boy what a great Desription of late night tv:) So dh will be home full time..hahaha that was funny too what you said. Day in and day out....sounds like there will be some adjustments at home :) I agree it is a shame about my mom. She hangs up the few times I have tried to talk to her. D

Nicole-What a great boning time for you and your daughter working out together! I know I should do more stretching and everytime I read that one of you did a stretching session I think OH I NEED TO DO THAT! It seems I hate just stretching though.

Dallas-I am doing ok. Once Dad gets back home I can relax some again. I hope you hear something soon.

Marietts-So you are jus doing your own thing this month? I am tempted to switch to my own but I am adding more to March and hoping to hang in with it.

Lora-Is your stomache any better at all? Wow you will have to let us know how the pilates workouts are. I have a hard time doing them and yoga as I feel all I am doing is stretching. I know they are suppose to be very good it is something I need to get over. I think if I am not sweating I am not working.

Ok I will check back later!

Terri

Good Morning Maniacs!!

This morning I did IMAX3...Haven't decided what I'll do at lunch. I could probably be talked into a run, but my first instinct is to do the elliptical and then a chest workout...we'll see.

Lora - That's interesting about your allergy appointment, maybe next time they will tell you something you don't know.

Susan - Sorry you didn't get much sleep last night...heck, you were probably too wound up from all the fun you had earlier. Yep, it will be an adjustment having your dh at home...but in the grand scheme of things, I'm sure it will all work out.

Sabrina - You are on the ball...just planning away for your trip aren't you??!!

Nicole - Let me know what your dd thinks about those blasts...

Dallas - You did your hour on the treadmill already...you're on a mission aren't you? 5-6 hour workouts/day? That's insane!! But I guess if you're rich and don't have anything else to do...that's what you do. I bet they only do that when they are getting ready to tour or make a movie...probably not all the time. Hope you get news today...you didn't say where the foot hurts when you bend...I'm trying to figure out where your pain is.

Terri - Yeah, right now I'm just doing my own thing. The plan is to do this March rotation with my half-marathon training...but we'll see how that goes. Glad you had a good visit with your dad...the hospital will release him when they feel he's ready.

It was great for Diane Sue to pop-in while she's vacationing...

Hi Christine and Toasty!!

I'll be back...

Terri - Yes, some yoga just feels like your stretching, but it is more than that. Try Mark Blanchard (see if you can get one on E-bay) toughest tape out there is The Power Within - 90 minutes long. Also - even though you just feel like your stretching, yoga massages your internal organs and detoxifies you, as well as giving you many other benefits from the organ stimulation. I know it is difficult for high strung people to sit still and slow down long enough to practice, but it is worth it for me!

Gotta run, my boss will be back in a flash...........I'll check back.

Hi everyone!

Lora-those oils are interesting. I have not heard anything like them before. I was wondering where your boss was since you have posted a couple times this morning. Too bad she just wont leave you alone.

Nicole-You have a good workout planned! You go girl! Thanks for posting about The Biggest Loser being on tonight. I have not looked at my home page to see what was on this evening yet. I will have to make sure I see the rest of the show.

Dallas-I don't know how people can work out for 5-6 hours a day either. Wow on the hour workout on the treadmill. When are you leaving? I need to look into the weather for December at Disney. I have no idea what to pack for that time. I think I will have to save the castle for another time or go by myself. lol The two character breakfasts(if I can get in) and the dinner shows will be plenty for the boys. What are you plans? Where are you going? Let us know when you hear about your brother.

Terri-Glad your dad enjoyed Dave and Ashleys visit.

Marietta-You working out twice a day amazes me. There is no way I can fit in two workouts a day. One is hard enough. lol Your go Girl!!

See you ladies later!

Hi All -

Oh, I think all heck broke loose at work with me gone. So now I'm cleaning up a million messes... *rolls eyes*

My plane got in last night at 1:30AM, but I did sleep on it so it's not too bad, but I got up at 5:30AM and managed to get in GS Chest and Triceps. This afternoon I'll do one of my Spinerval audio CD's on a spin bike at the gym. That should be a fun and much needed break! LOL

Lora - I really hope your shoulders are feeling better soon!

Sabrina - it's a tough market. My dad has his house on the market, and it's a nice house, and there have not been many people through. Good luck though! Maybe they'll change their minds!

Susan - I'm up at 4:15 every morning, so I hear ya on the infomercials. They have one for everything! And often times they are the most interesting thing on! Hope you sleep better tonight!

Nicole - I love reading about your workouts with your DD! Sounds like you're a fabulous influence on her!

Dallas - 6 hours a day? Holy cow! I'd be dead! I have a friend who works out 4 hours a day so she can drink. I think I'd rather skip the booze and work out only 2 hours (or like today about 1.5 hours). That's nuts! A 6 hour workout is an endurance event. It took me 5 hours to ride 100 miles on my bike. As Coach Troy says, "You need to learn to trainer smarter, not longer." *shakes head at crazy celebrity wenches*

Terri - Glad to hear your dad is doing better! That's so great!

Marietta - have fun with IMax 3. I need to dust that one off - the dread factor is so high, but it's actually a fun workout.

Enjoy ladies! I'm FINALLY starting to feel full after breakfast. I'm ready to go home, though!

Good Afternoon!!!

What is everyone up to today....you guys busy??

Well...I did a little elliptical, some chest work and 1 set of BBM exercises. Speaking of BBM...is anyone else still managing their BB's??

I forgot to mention that I went to bed pretty late too...I was on the phone talking to family member that is having a very hard time in her marraige...she is very depressed. there is a whole lot to that story and I feel really bad for her. Anyway, that kept me up way past my bedtime...Sometimes there are things more important than sleep.

Anyway....

Oh Christine...I'm on hold on the trainer. I'm also trying to sell the idea to my husband because he is hating the running so I told him that I think he would enjoy the bike workouts. I did just get paid so I need to re-visit. Have good workouts...sounds awesome!! If you've ever read any of my postings you'll know that IMAX3 is my absolute favorite. I'd do it everyday if I could...

Sabrina - I'm a maniac...I thought you knew (smile)!

Hey girls...come out, come out wherever you are!!

Hi again,

I did a full hour on the treadmill today. I can’t remember the last time I did one hour. Do any of Cathe's workouts total 60 minutes cardio? I did it on the highest incline walking.
After, I did most of TLT, EFM (with some modifications).
I've now got to make dinner and take a shower. My son’s daycare that he went to invited us for a family event tonight.

Marietta, that great that you are there for your family member who is having marriage troubles. Oh, Marietta, I'm CONSTANTLY working on my BB. I think it's a "project" that will NEVER get finished. :(

Susan C.M.

Hi Everyone!

I have to make this fast....

Susan ~ You're butt will be thanking you later! ha ha! That's what I've been doing lately. I get bored sometimes and play around with the incline and speed. At least it's something.

Marietta ~ I got your e-mail. Thanks! The pain is on the top of my foot. Today no problems...of course. I tell you it's the weirdest thing. That was sweet of you to help your family member.

Sabrina ~ I got your e-mail too. I'll try and reply when I sign off.

Christine ~ I think Marietta was right the celebrities that worked out like that were doing that before movies, photo shoots, etc.. Could you imagine doing that everyday?! What some did for movie roles?!

Hi everyone else....I skimmed the thread. Sorry if I missed a post or two. I'm off and running again.

Oh, I did get in PLB floor and FIU floor. No abs. I ran out of time. There's always tomorrow...

Dallas

Marietta - sorry to hear about the trainer, but they are expensive. Not like a $20 video. x( The cardio coach series can be tailored to a treadmill, bike, or elliptical trainer. At least it gives some variety as well and they're fun. I did the Audio only spinerval today - MegaWatts. Oh man did I sweat! Good workout.

Dallas - no way can I imagine doing that every day. Of course, I'm not 20 any more... Maybe I could if I were. :+

Tomorrow is pay day so I'll be ordering the other TLT's (EFM and SIM). I'm looking forward to it. I did BBBB again, and they actually get tougher as you get used to the movements. Still not too sure of FYC though. I'll do it again this weekend. I still think it should be FYB!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm ready to crawl into a corner and nap! I'm such a baby sometimes - I don't do well when my schedule gets all messed up. I can't wait to sleep at my normal time tonight!
