Morning Ladies -
This morning I did Sculpt 5-6 (Power 90 Masters) and Sara Ivanhoe's 20 Minute Yoga - Beauty & Sweat. I wanted to do aerobics and even got up 15 minutes earlier (which is a big feat these days) but there was a perfume oil update and I spent the extra time placing my order! Instead of aerobics, I kept the weight lifting aerobic by doing jumping jacks and other cardio in between sets. I opted to lift heavy and do 8-10 reps, which left me even a bit more time in between exercises for cardio. It worked pretty well and kept my heartrate up for the entire workout.
I think I'll do this again when I want to add a yoga practice on instead of cardio. I'm starting to get addicted to yoga. I find myself "craving" it. It makes me feel so good.....especially all of the twists, forward bends and hip openers. It is said that you generally carry a great deal of stress in your hips and the twists help rid the body of toxins. That must be why I feel so good after these movements.
I'm still not sure if the Down Dogs are what aggravated my neck and shoulders. I'm going to try a few more and see what happens.
Diana Sue- glad to have you back! I got my Cardio Coach while you were gone and did it over the weekend. It just about killed me. I did it one day on the rebounder and used my incline step to run up and down for the hill climb intervals. The next day, I did it on the bike. For people like us maniacs, Cardio Coach kicks some major butt. I got a discount on my next order cuz they forgot to send my first order, so I ordered 5 now and it's on the way. Guess what, I found out they have a Volume 6 coming out and a Pump one. They sent me a note with my confirmation email. I have my CC CD laying out on the stereo and every time I walk by it, I think about how it kicked my butt (although I've been fighting a stomach flu and have not been 100%).
Sabrina - Sorry about your counterbid stuff. I think the market is flooded with houses right now and Spring hasn't yet sprung...so hang on!!
Dallas - who was I supposed to talk to about Pilates? I must have missed that post. I ended up ordering Jonathan Urla's New York Style Pilates #3 (advanced), 10 minute Solutions Pilates & Breakthru Pilates Sculpt with Michele Dozois and Tracy York. I think most of these have hand weight segments and don't use body weight work throughout....and that's why I chose them. I'm really getting hooked on the yoga though. I ordered some Baron Baptiste DVDs to round off my collection. They have good prices on DVDs at Overstock.com. I got some for $6.
Hi to everyone else. I have to go back to the allergy doctor on Thursday for more tests. So far, nothing too impressive. Mild allergy to Aspergillis (an indoor mold) and slight Ragweed, but this is nothing I didn't already know. I have a feeling this is going to be a waste of time.
Have great workouts.
