Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I only had time for Turbo Jam Fat Blaster (30 min). I have to be at work to work the early shift, as I have my last set of Trigger Point injections tonight. My rotation called for Shoulders and Arms, but I will do that workout on Saturday this week.

Marietta- Did you ever try that Full Body Cardio workout with Sharon (CIA)? I don't remember you posting about that yet. I was curious to know what you thought of it.

Have great workouts everyone and I'll try to check in from work if I can. My boss will be going on vacation tomorrow!
 
Hi Maniacs:

Today was the full Pyramid for back and biceps and then stability ball abs. I did biceps first as I used my 15#ers for the heavy weight. I made it thru okay, so guess I'm improving. Was also able to do most of the pikes on the ball and the balances where you lift one leg up. Did better than I thought I'd do. I then added on Eoin Finn's PY4H, premix quickie for 30 minutes. Love the hip openers.

Yesterday evening did a 15 mile spin ride (middle chain ring only) on my bike to see if my legs were recovered. Not quite yet, but hopefully they will be for tomorrow's hill climb.

Will work out DH tonite on the Bowflex. For variety for him, I'd really like to put in a Cathe weight workout, but maybe Gilad would be a better choice. Hopefully, he'll humor me. He's been so good about letting me call the shots on all of this as far as different exercises on the Bowflex.

Lora, hope the injections aren't too painful tonite for you. Glad your boss is going on vacation again. It's really a vacation for you, isn't it?

We're going camping this weekend and will bring the mtn. bikes but I think I'll also pack some weights along.

Must go now. Our dog (german shorthair) got a foxtail in her ear last night so I'm going to see if I can get her in at the vet's today. They are so miserable when this happens. I can't stand to watch them shake their poor heads.

This morning I did Cardio Kicks. I was SO tired when I got up this morning, didn't feel like doing anything. My dh has some kind of upper respiratory infection and hasn't been sleeping well so that keeps me up. But I had a great workout anyways, I was in my zone for 39 minutes and burned 260 calories. Went all out with the arm drills at the end, my shoulders were burning!

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I worked out to LL and then worked biceps/shoulders. Today I will work chest/back/triceps/abs and maybe get to ride my bike again.

I also posted pictures of the backs of my legs so everyone could see the progress I am making. Not many responded to the pictures I posted so I am wondering if no progress was made???? I see progress so I guess that is all the really matters...just wished others noticed too or maybe I am not so hardcore enough and need to delete them and continue with my workouts until stuff is popping out more??? I posted a picture from 2003 when I first started working out to Cathe and that was a hard picture to post...not very attractive.

Hope you have a nice camping trip and the weather will be good. I will be camping my parents the end of July. They usually rent a cabin, but my dad gets up very early to do his pushups, etc. and eat and he is very noisy so I plan on bringing my own tent and camping outside the cabin so I can sleep!!!!

I really like the cd's. I listened to them all yesterday. Tantric is pretty good, I like them. I REALLY like all the Nickelback cd's. And thanks again for the Chili Peppers...that one is a good one too.

Netta - What is a foxtail? Where do you live again? Thanks for the well wishes about the injections. They actually hurt the day after for about a week. Yes, I'm getting a vacation from getting yelled at constantly!! Charles is also!

Charlotte - Did you get my email I sent you from work yesterday? Should I resend it? You never heard any of Tantric's songs on the radio a few years back? They used to play about 3 off of that CD on the radio all of the time, but I don't know if you get a good radio station being out in the "boonies" LOL!!

I see tons of improvement. Actually, I looked at your pictures briefly last night, but didn't have time to post. I'm having trouble getting them to come up this morning. Yep, it's working for you all right, but I know it's taken lots and lots of work. I'd kill to have your legs. Mine are stumpy (but strong) and I pack the fat on top of the muscle. I've pretty much come to terms with them as they are better than they used to be. I tend to focus more on improving the upper body as the results come more readily. Actually, my arms are short too but I'm okay with them.

Lora, a foxtail is a weed that has a head on it that's pointed and in segments. When dry, the segments come apart and will stick to your socks, shoelaces, and will work their way into a dogs ear (pointed end first). There's no getting them out once they go down inside, except by a vet. The relief comes immediately for the dog once the foxtail is removed. Oh yeah, I live in northeastern California, Susanville to be exact.

It's hump day!!

This morning I ran on my treadmill for about 4-miles. I did an interval type workout. I'll do back work at lunch today.

Diane Sue - It is amazing the things that can do to correct vision these days. Hope everything goes great.

Debbie - I'd love for you to be in my class too...it would be cool! Great workout this morning...way to make it happen!!

Lora - I must have done the CIA full-body on a weekend and didn't post about it. I have done it once and I absolutely love it. I'm trying to figure out when I can do it again!

Netta - I'm with Lora...what is a foxtail?

Toasty - Girl...your pics look awesome! If people can't see the remarkable difference...they need their eyes checked!!

Today I did PUB. Oh my! I can really tell when it’s been a while doing a particular w/o. I died doing chest, biceps and those darn pikes!!x(

Lora, are the injections you’re getting for pain relief?

Jeanette, have fun working out with your husband. Only once mine did LL. It was pretty funny. He’s so strong, but it was obvious he doesn’t have as much endurance as I do. :p Heehee Btw, I have short limbs as well. I’m still (even at my age) trying to come to terms with it. Crop pants fit me like regular pants should.

Debbie, sorry you didn’t get much sleep. I hope your husband gets his infection cleared up asap! I give you credit for still working out. I know it’s tough ~ trust me.;-)

Hello Ladies,

I see you all are as busy as always. I too have been working out like a maniac as it helps me keep my mind and body busy. I have to be careful I don't over do it though you know? I am already trying to make plans for a busy weekend as Dave and Ashley are going to Vegas. With them gone I need to try and be with people who understand my pain as I can't/won't bother Dave on his mini vacation. Once again thanks for everyones support here !

Debbie-Today is upperbody and BBW from cahthes rotation for me. After seeing you did cardio kicks I am going to do that too. I love that workout :)

Marietta-Thank you again for the beautiful card.

Netta-That is so great you and DH are working out still. Have fun camping. Also I hope you can get your dog to the vet.

Morning Everyone!

Ahhh, I slept in again. However, that means I have to work out later. :-( I like getting it out of the way. It was too late of a night around here. Anyway, we're off to a pool b-day party this morning. Looks like the clouds are rolling in again. It's been that way all week. I've been busy with the kids, so I haven't been able to check in daily. I still getting in some good workouts.

Terri ~ More ((((HUGS)))). So what will be your plans for this weekend?

Marietta ~ I sent you a lonnnnggg e-mail about the rotation. Sorry! ;-)

Susan ~ I love PUB. I know what you mean about a w/o being hard if you haven't done it in awhile. I'm scared of the GS especially those push ups. It's been a long time since I've done those workouts. How's your ds doing at your parents?

Nicole ~ I'd love to join you on the 30 days! However, I've hardly had time to get to the laundry lately. :-( Girl, my list of projects is growing and growing.....but I'm having fun with the kids this summer! Way to go for your ds on baseball!

I was thinking the other day. I should get a weighted vest because I do sit and stands all day long. You know with the kids being home...no sooner do I sit, I have to get up and do something, get something, etc. I might as well get more of a workout out of it! ;-) :p Seriously, anyone here have a weighted vest? What do you use it for?

Charlotte - I didn't even see that you mentioned your new pics and I thought I read all the posts from yesterday. Anyways, I see a big difference. You have no more cottage cheese! What a feat that is! You go girl! I still have a little cottage cheese and hoping my new weight bench will change that! I love how you keep up with your pics. Also question - do you have to pay to have more than one album on picturetrail?
 
Good morning!

This morning I did upper body and abs. I did a Body for Life type pryamid workout. I thought I might die on biceps as I did 22.5 pound dumbells for my set of 6 reps and back down to 20 pounds for 12 reps. It almost killed me! :) Tomorrow morning if I ride it will have to be super early and by myself because I have to go have that test and I can't eat or drink after midnight. Boo hoo. I'm gonna be starving and I'm not great working out on an empty stomach. Maybe I'll have to do Spinervals. Or if I'm REALLY hungry I might have to do something easier like RS.

Netta - I'm sorry to hear about your doggie. I hope she's better soon. Gizmo had something very similar get into his jaw and has caused it not to heal. They took it out yesterday - and gave it to me! Eeeewwww! Do you ever use your granny gears? I never used mine on my first bike (I was VERY stubborn), so now we always get a double when we order my bikes instead of a triple. But there are times when I'd probably use it if I had it!

Debbie - I hope your DH feels better soon so you can get some rest!

Charlotte - I didn't know you posted new pics. You look HOT! I think you've made a lot of progress - obviously by the inches and pounds lost. Your daughter's prom pics are great too! She's very pretty - just like her mom. I LOVE Nickleback, by the way!

Hi Terri - I hope that your weekend is the busiest ever! Good job on keeping up with the workouts. A lot of people would just curl up and not do a thing. Way to go! Hang in there!!!

Dallas - it sounds like you're having an awesome summer with the kids. My dream was always to be a stay-at-home mom. I think I would have loved it! I love hearing about all the fun stuff you do.

Hey all you Maniacs!

WHEW! I've been busy busy at work the past couple of weeks with the merger going on. We wanted to close on it this Friday, but doesn't look like that will happen.
I've been working out still, but did take a break when we went on vacation to the beach. :) Had a great time, left last Thursday and came back late Sunday night. I said I took a break at the beach, I need to take that back, as I was helping with my 3yr old nephew, and then DH and I walked the beach at night, much cooler then. ;-) Do you all know that 3 yr olds don't get tired!!! I forgot about all the energy they have, as my youngest is 17!

I'm going to the y tonight and I'm gonna start doing more weight work, and then try doing cardio 3 times a week, we'll see how that works. I'm at 145 now, YAY! I would like to get to 135, but no big deal if I don't. :7 I'll work shoulders and tri's tongiht or whatever my DH has me doing.

I can't respond to everyone right now, as I'm at work and it's busy like I said earlier. My DD computer has been down at the house, but back up now, so I'll get caught up on everyone later tonight!!!

I missed all my maniacs! It feels good to post again!

My workout this morning was Turbo Jam Fat Blaster no str,Turbo Jam C Party 3 no w/up or str, Kick Punch & Crunch intensity drills, then Slow & heavy Triceps, S&H Biceps adding GS concentration curls, S&H Abs, Ab ripper X with med ball and jolies, 50 hanging leg raises on VKR tower, Yoga Shatki warrior 3 and supine poses.

Charlotte, you have made great improvement in your legs:) I missed a lot on here yesterday just skimming, because I had so many things going.

I have to clean house and try and get more things ready for camping Saturday. I will check back later

Just got back from my lunch break not too long ago. I did another 4-miles and also did some back work.

Susan - When was the last time you did PUB? I haven't done that one in a while (well, not to the actual dvd). I usually end up doing it from memory and I'm sure I take too much rest when I do it that way.

Terri - Hi Lady!! That's right...just keep yourself busy. We all admire the way you are working through this. We know it's not easy. BTW...you are so welcome.

Netta - I think it's cool that you workout w/your dh as well. Mine thinks I'm some sort of weirdo. The funny thing is that he is the one that has purchased most of the equipment I have...weird.

Dallas - I got your email. I'll get to work on it as soon as I can. Hey, I don't have a weighted vest, but I'd sure like to have one. I think it would be awesome to just wear around the house while doing housework, or you can wear them while taking walks outside or on your treadmill. I'm sure it would make quite a difference.

Suz - Good luck tomorrow...please let us know how your appointment goes...we want details!!

Sandy - Good to hear from you. You sound like you are doing awesome...you should be very proud of yourself!!! Keep it up girl!!
