Morning Fitness Maniacs -
Again I didn't want to crawl out of bed, but I did. I did a somewhat easier workout today. I'm sort of sore all over and since I don't really take a total day off, I figured this was okay today. I did 1/2 hour of Seasun's Straight Up Step and 45 minutes of Yoga Shakti. I chose my own program. I did Namaskar A&B, Dancing Warriors 1 & 4, Standing Flow 1, Supine Poses, Forward Bending and Twisting and Savasana. It was an okay workout but actually felt very easy after doing that tough Mark Blanchard yoga the other day. I thought her sequences actually went a little slow ...or was that just me today? Maybe I'm just used to the crazy pace Eion gets moving sometimes. He really flies thru his sun salutations some times.
Okay, I still can't decide on a rotation, but I know that part of the reason I'm so depressed lately (besides PMS) is cuz I need to lose some weight and I'm disgusted with myself. The only thing I did recently with my diet is make a few tweaks here and there (for the better)...so I don't know what's going on. Maybe I'll wait until Cathe posts the June rotation to start one and if I don't like the one she posts, maybe I'll have to force myself to chose one some how!
Diana Sue - I'm a little confused with the advice you gave me yesterday. What are you saying? Are you saying that if doing an interval workout on the bike is REALLY hard for me, I should do more of that? or if the Bosu is really hard for me, do more of that? Those are the aerobic things that are hard....but I don't know what to do with weights. I've been sort of mixing that up lately and doing a circuit workout sometimes, a high rep workout and a heavier workout with less reps. What I haven't done with weights lately is a split (like using the Gym Styles or P90 X). I'm concerned that if I do that, I won't be able to fit in enough aerobics....so I'm still confused on what to do. I'm being over analytical....aren't I. I tend to complicate things. I hate this trait in myself. Ugh...I'll shut up now. (Do you think I should consider doing a P90X rotation, or is that not enough for fatloss?....I'm so confused). Also - do you ever do aerobics with your heartrate in that lower range...like 70-75% like that one rotation showed that I posted the other day? I usually only do my aerobics at my hardest capacity. Do you think I should do some easier ones?
Netta - You ask what brings me out of my slump? Buying exercise DVDs and eating chocolate!! LOL!! But I have soooooooo many DVDs and I certainly don't need chocolate. I guess it's just PMS and my disease getting to me. I'm having a hard time with life right now.
Suz - Yes, yoga is very stretching and can be strenghtening when you get to some of the more advanced stuff. Have you never done yoga before? If that is the case, you may want to check out www.yogajournal.com and familiarize yourself with some of the sanskrit names of the poses cuz I think Shiva uses them in her DVD (mainly). ...or you can just keep looking at her on the TV constantly to follow. You'll get the hang of it. It stretches out like no other 15 minute stretch tape can!!
Charlotte - Did you get a chance to listen to anything yet? You'll hve to PM me after you hear Sir Psycho Sexy and tell me what you think of that one! Also - let me know how you like Blood Sugar for working out to it. It's one of my fave's for pumping iron or doing aerobics. I was just upstairs rockin' out to it getting ready for work.
Well, I hope I answered everyone's questions. If I missed someone ...I'm sorry. Hi to everyone and have great workouts. I'll check in later from work.
