Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Tuesday 5-16

Lora - Yeah, I'm not really thinking Tony is hot unless he's doing those plyo push ups - something about those - WHOO HOO! (step aside Amy!). Hey did you notice in the Amy Step workout that Jacyln - the girl to Amy's left as you're looking at her - looks like she's about to keel over by the 4th combo? I was previewing it and noticed that. She is not in the plyo moves. I wonder if they only had one day to film everything, and had done the Step one last or something. The others are fresh and bouncy, but poor Jacyln...

Suz - have fun with Muscle Endurance - that's one of my favorites!

Christine - I never noticed that girl in the Step video.....I'm too busy watching Amy fly all over the place and trying to follow along! LOL!. Now you have me wanting to do a Tony Horton rotation. I would do P90X with you, but I need to do a Fat Loss rotation first.

Suz - I can't really stomach some of Cathe's older DVDs. I have most all of them, but I think I only did Power Hour once. I need to get more familiar with them so I can use my own music with her older stuff. I first discovered Cathe last Feb and I did nothing but Cathe until about October....then I got burned out on Cathe and started going over to VF's Forum and then they got me hooked on variety. That's such a bad place for an addictive personality. I just spent $70 on Pilates DVDs the other day from reading that Forum. They always know the latest workouts and they know the advanced ones. They are the one who got me into this whole "balance" and variety thing. I'm not going to work on working Pilates and Lotte Berk into my rotations. All of that being said, I do want to do a Hardcore Fatloss Rotation soon. As soon as I'm done playing with my Bosu and CIA's. After that, My BArry's Bootcamp should arrive for my Birthday in October!

Lora - I have to agree with you but on the really old stuff - like from the beginning - the step ones. I bought a couple of them on VHS on clearance and I have a REALLY hard time doing them b/c of the whole outdated factor. I didn't think it would bother me, but for some reason it does. Isn't that weird? Luckily since I cycle, that's my cardio from now until fall, so I only need cardio variety from about late October/early November through April/May. And with my new elliptical that will really help, especially since I can watch tv or movies while I'm on it.

Hi ladies, back after my Cardio Coach bike workout,

Debbie, Step Blast is one I need to get too. I have Timesavers and the sections in that from Step Blast are fun.

Susan CM: Wow, what a leg workout! Would be a killer for me.

Marietta: I sympathize with the absent co-worker. I work with some people that just seem to have no conscience at all about what their absence causes other people. Way to hang in there though, and to get over it and move on. I'm sure your efforts are recognized. What workout did you do today with the guys?

Nicole: Hope your sinus problem is resolved soon. Good job on KPC! And you sound like you are doing well on getting things done in the house, something I definitely need to focus on some day...

Christine: Imax3, huh? Always heard it was tough, but seems like you've got a handle on it. I've only seen a little of Tony and he seems goofy to me, not yummy type.

Diane Sue: You sure use your bowflex a lot. I just got done helping DH on ours. I also threw in some free weights and brought my barbell in for him to do biceps. He really got a burn going tonite! And yes, you are a great example, hope I'm 1/4 as in shape as you are when I get to your age (I'm not very far behind agewise, will be 48 this year).

Terry: Very nice of you to take on your friends business. Hope he comes back soon. I like to be busy, but not frantic. Hope it's not that way for you.

Susan (dogs2birds): Way to go on the hill climb workout! I actually like to climb. I usually get some kind of a song in my head when I'm really cranking on a steep part. Latest song has been a Montgomery/Gentry song "that's all right, that's okay, it ain't nothing but another day..." Course I do it slow in my head cuz that's about how fast I'm pedaling. You are soooo disciplined in your training. You are going to see some nice increases in speed I'm sure. My Cardio Coach workout was good too, but it was warmer tonite and that always knocks me a bit until I acclimate. It was near 90 today, but should be around the low to mid 70's by the weekend, I think. Our group has a metric planned for Sunday. The next weekend is an organized century ride, oh my! I'm nowhere near ready, but I'd sure like to attempt it. I know I can do it, it just won't be pretty.

Well, must go get ready for bed. Oh yeah, the massage really helped my stiff neck this morning. I'm so glad.
