Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Tues Feb 7

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Firm Cardio Killer (40 min) and then I added on about 10-15 minutes of my Push aerobic DVD. I forgot how much plyo was in Cardio Killer, so I broke my rebounder out midway thru cuz my piriformis has still been spasmed. I also found out that the Push DVD is perfect for rebounder aerobics. I'm excited about that cuz it's so easy to follow that I can jam to Seether or the Chili Peppers and rebound and my heart rate stayed in the 150's!!

I followed this up with a mini yoga workout (5 min) from Yoga for Athletes with Rodney Yee. Every time I do some yoga/stretching....I realize just how much I really need it. I've got to figure out a way to fit in more cardio and stretching. I guess I'll need to start getting up a half hour earlier and maybe staying off of the computer at night and stretching instead....if I can tear myself away from the computer.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check in from work, but my boss was on a rampage yesterday and the last thing I wanted to do was get caught on the computer. The other day she said "you're not on the internet, are you?" .....and I almost got caught!

ETA: I can't remember who asked me (in yesterday's thread) about having my surgery, but at moments like now....when I can't smell at all - I sort of want to have it, but then when the other side of my nose is open and I can smell, I don't think it would be worth it. I'm torn right now. I have to have the CAT scan first anyway and see how severe he says the problem is. All I know is that I'm almost finished with my medicine and I can't smell a thing this morning! I don't know if I would consider it with the risk of cerebrospinal fluid leakage or damage to the optic nerve, especially the way my sinuses aren't as bad as they were, but just not being able to smell.....if that makes sense.

I am feeling better today and I have my work cut out for me. I am plan to catch up on the rotation byy doing yesterdays workout this am and tonight do todays workout. If I feel like it is too much I will do the lunges and situps with tomorrows workout. I think it's doable.

Lora-sounds like you got a good workout in today! Let's hope you get your sense of smell back soon and won't have to worry about surgery.
Dallas-I read your post last night and that is great news the Dr. gave you. I bet you were so relieved,
Lisa Marie-I agree with veryone else you look terrific!
Marietta-I need to go look for the magazine you talked about.
Sabrina-When do you work again?
Nicole-Opps I forgot to e-mail you yesterday. Thats what being ill does :)

Good Morning!!

This morning I did KPC...the rotation called for Kick Max, but I like KPC better so that's what I did! I'll go for a run later and probably do some back work.

Lora - I know I need to do more stretching myself...the question is "when"? I don't do nearly enough...

Terri - Glad you are feeling better...do you know what was wrong? You're right you can do those lunges and situps anytime. Hope you can find the magazine.

Dallas - I'm glad you were told that you can work out on your foot - I think. I hate when they don't/can't tell you exactly what was wrong...it just bothers me. What kind of support did they give you...do you feel it made a difference? Glad you found the mag - let me know what you think.

Diane Sue - I knew you'd know the exact number of days!

Lora-I hope you can get your sense of smell back too without surgery. I hope your boss is in a decent mood today and that you will be back to visit with us.

Terri-Sounds like you have a lot of working out ahead. lol I hope you can get it all in. I am glad you are feeling better today. Don't overdo it. How is Ashley doing?

I work from 1-5 today. I tan at 5 (I know bad girl). I have noticed though that I am in a better mood now that I have gone a couple times.

I have to take my boys to the doctor at 10:30. DS8 has one bad cough and it doesn't seem to want to go away. We'll see what the doc says.

Dallas-How is your son today? Does he still have a fever? I hope he is getting better. Did you get the email I sent?

Good Morning Ladies!

Today, I did the treadmill again, but more as a warm up. I then did GSL and PLB floor work and a stretch. Tonight I'm going to that pilates class again. That will get my abs good! :)

Marietta ~ I know I was a little disappointed. More so with the doctors lack of advice. He really didn't ask a lot of questions and offered almost no advice. Oh well, guess that's where the "listen to you body" will come in handy. My foot feels fine. Tomorrow I'll try out some kickboxing (lo-impact). I'm just glad there's no stress fractures, etc.

Sabrina ~ Yes, I saw your e-mail. I'll try and get back to you before I leave today.

Terri ~ Take it easy girl! How are you liking the January rotation? I'd like to do that one before vacation.

Lora ~ Why would your boss question you being on the internet? Did she catch you before? Be careful!

Hey Everyone,
Today is the challenge day of the rotation}( I did finding your core, and instead of doing a firm I did SS tear it up:7 Sometime later today I would like to ride my bike for about 20-30 min. I started a good book, and that will give me a excuse to read it :7


Lora I am sticking to doing The TLTS per the rotation, but some days I would rather do Cathe or Slim series vs. some of my firms. I am going with my mood:D I really did not want to stray from SS because I LOVE what it does for my lower body. So last week I worked in 1 SS and this week I got to work in 2.

Dallas happy to hear you did not have a break in your foot!! Sounds like the Dr. pretty much wasted your time:-( Bummer!!

Terri you are going to be busy today.}( I know you must be feeling much better today:D YOu go girl:7

Marietta I thought of you today when I was doing Glute raises on the ball in my TLT work out today.. They are killer, and quite a challenge. I will be on the look out for that magazine.

This mornings workout was P90X Plyometrics, Cardio only of HSCh, KPC intensity drills, MM lower(I used a 65# barbell here and added two sets of squats w/ 75#) I feel the need for a little more heavy stuff for my legs. I have to go. I have granddchildren waiting here for PE class outside:)

I went for about a 4-mile run at lunch and also did some back work. Think I'm done for the day.

Sabrina - That's interesting that you feel better after getting in the tanning bed...I've heard several people say that.

Dallas - Yeah...just play it by ear girlfriend. They didn't even suggest taking anything?? Interesting....

Nicole - I love it!! Do BUTT work and think of me (smile)...

HI ladies!

I thought I would pop in real fast at work. I have sent out some information on a lot. Keep your fingers crossed that I hear something back! I will take whatever I can get! lol

Nicole-I will let DH know that you want a copy! lol Seriously if you need one let me know and I will send you one. I like how you can read while riding your book. I have tried it while walking on the treadmill and I don't do very well. lol What are you reading?

Marietta-I have only went a couple times but I have noticed that when I leave I am in better spirits. We'll see if it happens again tonight since I go after work.

Diane Sue-PE? I never had PE all through high school. What are you doing?

Better find something to do! Maybe I will look at the new J. Jill catalog that I got today. LOL!

Sabrina it just made me laugh when I read you post yesterday that you had dh going all over for your copy:7 I LOVE IT!! Would you please take my dh and teach him your ways}( Hope you get a call back!!Btw I am reading Dangerous curves by Pamela Britton... I just started it, but so far so good. It about Nascar racer/romance. Light fast read.

Dallas how often do you get your Chol. checked??? My dad had to go meet a dietietian about what he can do for his??? I will let you know
any hot tips he learns.......If any ha ha???? Mom went with so I know she will be on top of it!!

Hello to everyone! I have to make this quick--what a long day. I just found out yesterday that I interview tomorrow for a promotion at work! Good thing I happened to already have today as a rest day (though I was planning on doing something light). I have lots of interview prepwork to do!

Marietta-I may have to do my makeup workout on my rest day as I am not going to makie it today I don't think. Still not up to par and my chest hurts from this cold or whatever it is.

Nicole-I was not as gung ho today as I thought I would be:) I feel like a sloth when I miss workouts though and had higher hopes then my body was ready for.
Sabrina-I need that magazine! Will DH like to find it for me:) We could be his second job !

Well it looks like my DS8 is going to be missing school again tomorrow. He has a slight fever again. I feel so bad for him since his birthday is Thursday and he wants to be back for it. I might have to think of something special to do for him if he has to stay home. That also means no party that evening. Any ideas??

Sabrina that would be so nice! Can you make a copy? You are so sweet. I am sorry about your son being sick. Here I am feeling sorry for myself and the poor lil guy may have to miss his party:( I will think on some ideas. So far the only thing I came up with is make him his fav foods and rent a special movie he has been wanting to see. There has to be better ideas though. Maybe Dallas and Marietta can come up with some things since they still have kids at home. :) Mine is 25 almost and it has been way too long for bd's as a child :) By the way thinks for asking about Ashley. She is hanging in there and doing fine. A bit tired from all the trips to denver for radiation. It is a 2 hour round trip every day for them. I offered for them to stay here but you know how that is. They like/want their privacy. Plus Ashley has a dog and my old dog who is 15 would not like that for very long!

I thought I would check in again. I had a fun day with my two kidergarten Grandchildren. Marietta and Sabrina we devised a pretty simple PE class as there were just two children. We first started with music and me doing a kind of simon says game having them gallop, skip,jump and run etc.. Then we chalk marked the patio and marked how far they could jump. Of course they competed and kept trying to get farther. I had to do it too:) They had races to and from the tree to the sidewalk. Then they ran around an eye that hangs on our tree. Then my Grandson who watched me do plyo X this am while doing lessons wanted to see how long they could jump on one leg. Then they wanted to do P90X Kempo. My grandson said he just wanted to do the kickboxing not the other stuff(jumping jacks , jump ropes etc.) Fortunately it was pretty warm here. BTW I have gotten great ideas for activities indoors and out from a book called Family Boredom Busters. Sometimes I improvise. but the children have games they like from this book.
Sabrina, I don't have any real special ideas here if you can't have a party. Our family usually moves everything to a date where everyone can be here for the party then has a quiet birthday on the day. How about a special character focus with costumes, cake, movie and maybe even game with the theme with family?

Ok Ladies, I did it! I worked out tonight. Maybe not the smartest thing I have ever done but I really don't want to be behind on the rotation. I am feeling like the rest of the night will be spent with a movie on the couch:)

Diane Sue-You have so much fun with your grand kids. I only have the one son and he doesn't want kids and Ashley can't have them so I guess being a grandma is not in the cards for me :(

I hope you feel well tomorrow. I know how it is to push to reach my goals even when not feeling to well. Get some rest tonight and maybe you will be even better tomorow. Don't over do though if you are not up to it. I wish I could delete the first post but it is to late!!
