Morning Fitness Maniacs -

This morning I did not hear my alarm go off AGAIN. I couldn't fall asleep last night due to a bad flare up of my neck/jaw/shoulder pain from my disc injury. I did 50 minutes on the Elipitical. I did 2 minute intervals.

Marietta - I think that Barry's Bootcamp set might have some cool music on it. Someone at VF posted that the soundtrack on the video clip had Gwen Stefani's Hollaback, and some other good hip/hop, older rap stylish stuff. Sounds like it will be fun. They also had an article posted about him that he's a recovering drug addict...only clean 18 months. I'm really interested in these.....if he's a recovering drug addict, he's gotta be tough! We tend to be a bit hard on ourselves....at least that's my opinion. It says in that article that people have to leave his class to throw up all of the time and he rewards them with a shirt. I think that's funny. Can't wait for these in October!! I ordered them. They'll be in time for my birthday

Charlotte - Don't forget to send me your addy. If you like that CD, I'll burn you there first one. I have it on tape right now, but I ordered the CD from Amazon so I can listen to it in my car. Here's an interesting tidbit of info. I just read on Buckcherry's webiste, an interview with Josh and they ask him what he's been listening to lately. He loves the Flyleaf song So Sick and has been listening to them. He is also a major AC/DC freak.

Dallas - What the heck is going on with your foot? It's still bothering you? Are you gonna buy some Mark Blanchard's? Another one you may like, although I don't really care for the instructor, but the DVD was good....is Ana Forrest's Pleasure of Strength. I don't like her other DVD and she's a bit different as an instructor, but her DVD has an excellent ab section in it. It works them deep and gets them different than traditional exercises....plus the tape left me feeling worked, but very good. I may do it again tomorrow. I just did it last week. I need the ab work.

Hi to everyone else and welcome again to the new people. It's really good to see this thread growing. I hope the new people get used to my long ramblin' posts! I tend to be a little long winded! LOL.

Have great workouts and I'll try to check in from work later. My boss had a meeting with her boss and the head of Human Resources. She was reported for "bad body language" and "not liking her new boss". Interesting.....but I hope she doesn't lose her job, cuz then I have to worry about getting bumped out of my job when the downsizing starts and it's right around the corner. Our hospital may even close. It's been in the news every day around here. Not a good way to go to work every day..........I'm babbling.

Hi Lora! Sorry to hear you had a flare up again last night. That rots. Hope everything goes ok with your work. It will work out.

I'm on day 2 of the Butts and Guts rotation. So it's Bodymax now and a powerwalk later this morning. I have to break up the wo to get the boys to school but I'll do the cardio now and the UB when I get back. I am determined to stick to this rotation because I know it works!!

Hopefully getting a kitchen closet organized this morning too. Working tonight so I have to get my walk in before I go pickup the boys. I do pretty well when I'm crunched for time. Sometimes better than when I have time to kill!!

Good Morning Ladies!

I had to get up at 4:30A, but I still only got an hour in for my workout. I did PLB floor and CM#1. After my dd's field I may go to the gym for some elliptical time. I seem to have no problem with that form of cardio.

Lora ~ Mark's DVDs sound good and probably just what I need at this point. Where can I find Ana's? I don't know what happened. I was going along fine and then after Thursday's pt I was having pain again. She took it easy on me yesterday. I iced it last night and it feels fine again today. ???????? I'm really getting frustrated with this. Hang in there with the job and your boss! I know it has to be tough.

Hi everyone! This morning I had an excellent workout. I did a bunch of premixes. I started off with Muscle Endurance Upper Body Split, that was a great workout! Then I did Bootcamp Upper Body premix which just added that final burn to my muscles and then I did the step premix of Cardio & Weights. Took an hour and a half to complete. I loved it!!

Hopefully will do yoga or stretch this evening. My legs are sore from PLB yesterday.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I decided to do Step Blast. Never did it before. Thought it was going to be a easy workout. Why do I think this? It wasn't! LOL! I love the power play moves though. Could just do those all day long!!! I did fall off the stepper once though. }( :p

Today I am going to do BC and PLB back to back. That should help shape these legs of mine!!!

I always love to hear what workouts your doing. Though I wish I knew what some of these workouts are like as I am not familiar with BM. You have gotten some amazing results from Butts and Gutts Rotation. You know what you are doing and so glad to have you post here!!!

How was everyones Easter?

Ours was great! We had a lot of fun at the lodge. The waterpark has gotten a lot bigger and the boys decided to mostly stay in the new section this time. There is a wave pool and they were having fun with the waves and trying to ride them on their tubes. lol We also went to the dry area to play. They have nerf balls and you run around the bottom level and the three upper levels playing these games with the balls to score points. It is a lot of fun. You can also shoot the balls at each other from across the room. This big bad mama had high score when we went Sunday. LOL!!

I have pictures I have to get developed and then I will post letting you ladies know I have them so you can see them. The vacation was A LOT of fun.

Well, I failed. I was not good last night. I didn't drink, but I still ate! WAY TO MUCH! The food there is fabulous. (Okay, no excuse, but...). Fortunately, my parties are over. I'm making a nice gentle paella tonight, and I already have my calories planned out for the day. Thanks for all of your encouragement, everyone! It's nice to have you here! I guess it's time to pick myself up and dust myself off - I'm so bloated and so ready to get back to normal!

Lora - hope your neck is feeling better. Just think - two more days and you're boss free for a few days! YEAH!

Kali - Oh, have fun with BodyMax! That's one of my favorites.

Charlotte - SB is fun, isn't it? I love the fast foot repeaters. Glad you weren't hurt when you fell off (I fell off my first time too!).

Watching the 1906 Earthquake Ceremony. It happened 100 years ago at 5:14 AM, so they are holding the ceremoney at 5:14AM. Interesting time for a ceremony. I'm heading off to do P90X Shoulders and Arms soon.

Charolotte, SB is my favorite step workout from Cathe. I love when she gets to the Step Challenge and "Painted Black" starts playing. Man, that just gets me going! LOVE LOVE LOVE that workout! Great going!
 
Christine - Food is always a struggle for me. I tend to overindulge in things cuz of my addictive personality. It's hard...but no that your not alone with struggling! I love food!! I could see myself having an eating disorder if I let myself go.

Charlotte- Yes...Flyleaf and AC/DC. I guess their influence is from AC/DC. Did you know Seether's is from Nirvana? I can tell with them, but Buckcherry and AC/DC, I'm not sure. Anyway, like I said....if you really like the first and latest CD, I can always burn you the 2nd one but it's not quite as good as the other 2 (IMO). Also, I'll keep you in mind when I listen to his solo effort. I can't wait to get it. I tend to really get into music even more and depend on it when I'm in pain or stressed. Music is really good for my soul and the only vice I have left that's not self desctructive....if ya know what I mean!! Well, there are a few things I get enjoyment from ....exercise, food, chocolate, my music, my cats and of course one other thing...............Okay, I'm rambling again.

My boss is in a meeting, but she'll be back in a flash. I should get busy.
 
Morning Maniacs!!


This morning I did IMAX2 and followed by some chest work. I'm going to go to lunch with a friend for her birthday so I won't be working out then, but I do have class this evening so it's all good.

This may be my last day checking in this week. I'm leaving tomorrow to go to Texas for my niece's wedding. She is getting married on Thursday (I know, weird day for a wedding). So I'll be driving there with my sister and my parents. I don't know if my sister has a computer for me to use while I'm there. I also don't know what I'll do as far as workouts are concerned. My sister is taking her portable dvd player so I'll probably take my KPC with me or run at the very least.

Lora - I am very much looking foward to the Barry's Bootcamp workouts. I'm so pumped about them that I wish I didn't even know about them right now because Oct. just seems so darn far away. These sound like my kind of workouts. However, I refuse to workout till I throw-up....I hope works goes okay for you today. About your boss...you know how I feel about her, but if you don't want her to lose her job...then I hope she doesn't.

Kali - I love BodyMax...one of these mornings when I wake up in time, I'll have to do that one. I'm gonna look up that rotation you're doing. Looks real good. Good workout girl!!

Dallas - Hope you get to the gym today. I hate that you are going through this...

Toasty - Step Blast is a great workout, but it took me just a little while to get it. That's funny you've never done it before...hope you try it again...soon!

Sabrina - Well...hello there!! Missed you...glad you had fun. Can't wait to see pics!!

Debbie - Great workout lady!! What kind of yoga are you doing? I'm supposed to be incorporating it (thanks for Lora), but haven't managed to do so just yet.

Christine - Oh well...stuff happens..right? It's all good...your body is probably thanking you for all the wonderful goodies you've given it. Just dust off and get back on track...

I'll probably do a short one this evening. I like Karen Voights YogaSculpt or Yoga Focus workouts. I also LOVE Bryan Kest but his workouts are an hour and I don't usually have that kind of time in the evenings. You had a great workout! Love IMAX 2! Did you do your own chest routine or did you follow something from a workout?
 
Hey Debbie - This morning I did my own Chest routine....that's what I have been doing lately. I'm kinda doing one body part/day. I find that works pretty well for me. In fact, I printed off a one body part/day rotation that you posted and have been wanting to try it. The problem for me is that I don't always get to do my weight workouts at home and often have to do them in the fitness center at my job. I don't have the luxury of a dvd player at work so I often do my own thing. I don't mind doing that...I have been lifting a long time and by being a group fitness instructor, I can always come up with different routines.

Lora sent me the Bryan Kest yoga tapes...I haven't done them yet. But I'm gonna...

Hey Everyone,
Today is going a be a busy day. DD12 has a track meet this afternoon. I have to take DD6 to get a MONSTER WART removed this afternoon, and the DS10 has a game tonight.:eek:

I just got done with my workout though :7 So I am feeling really good about that ha ha. I did first 40 min of KPC and then I did the 4 KPC combos of kickmax.

I see we have a couple to new people on board :7 WELCOME Kali and Debbie!! It is so nice to have you!!

Kali you have me interested in the guts and butts rotation now:7

Debbie I have done one of your rotations before and LOVED it!!

Terri this week calls for endurance so I sneaked in Tear it up:D Do you think it would be all right if I did that is week. I had such a fun time with doing SS again.

Gang I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!! Sorry I can't stay longer, but gotta go pick up DD from kindergarten!!

Checking back in after just finishinh Lowmax! Boy I wish that feeling we get right after a workout stayed with us all day:) Maybe that is why so many of us do more then one workout a day! Later Iwill do Debbie's upperbody workout she posted then coremax1.

Marietta- Get crackin' with Bryan's workouts!! C'mon....I want you to tell me how your legs feel after a couple days. Someone at VF emailed Barry and asked him if the DVDs are as "hard" as his live classes...and he responded that they can be as intense as you want them to be, it's all what you put in it (go figure....who'd of thunk it) but he said yes, they are just like his classes. I also would never workout until I threw up. I've gotten naseous before and backed off a bit.

Terri - happy to make you laugh! I couldn't help that one! I'm still hoping that yoga will define my butt and thighs more, cuz it sure works 'em.
 
Hey all - thanks for the support... It's nice knowing I'm not alone. I love food, too, which is one reason I work out as hard as I do - so I can eat more. But, I still have to be careful. I'm sooo bloated today!

P90X was Shoulders and Arms today. Fun workout. It's 5 sets, one exercise each, shoulder, bicep and tricep then each set is repeated. It's tough and the moves are a little different than Cathe. I think what I have to get used to is picking a weight for 8-10 reps. I'm used to doing more enduranced based lifting. And he moves fast. I'd like him to slow down the reps every now and again. I'll have to do the reps the way I want to - it's not like these are not chaptered and the back button does not work.

I can really feel it today (probably should not have gone swimming yesterday, oh well), but it feels good. I did Core Max # 3 for some variety in the abs.
