Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Cardio Intervals (P90 Masters). My joints are a little achy today ...whether it be from the remnants of this stomach flu or too much impact the other day, I opted to use the rebounder for a lot of the workout.

Who here has one of the Polar HR monitors that has the chest strap and counts the total calories burned in your entire workout (not just in your target heart rate). I'm thinking I want to get one and I don't know which model I should get online. I think I'm going to ask for it for my anniversary in May.

Diana Sue - I just ordered Cardio Coach 2&3. I'll probably order 1 when 6 is released and get them together. Did you see that 6 is a woman coach, it's not Sean. I like Sean. He makes me laugh. At the end of Volume 5, when he says "now get in plank position", I did, like the idiot I am, and then he's just kidding! I'm such a dork. Sorry you have to wait 'till July to see your hubby again. Are you sick of P90 X yet? How much longer do you have and what results have you seen.

Charlotte - Have you heard that new Buck Cherry song? Crazy B@#ch? I love that song. I can't wait for the CD to come out. Buck Cherry makes for some good weight lifting music!! Also, do you like the Red Hot Chili Peppers? I love them. I just listened to Blood Sugar Sex Magick this morning during my cardio. I forgot how much I love that CD. It's a classic!

Morning ladies!

It is a snow day here. I have to find something for the boys to do today. It is 27 out there but feels like 12. The winds can get up to 40 mph today and there is about 3 inches of snow so far and it is still coming down. Can you say "YUCK"! lol

I have no idea what I will do today. I need a nap. I was up most of the night coughing.

Lora-Have you heard anything about your Turbo Jam's? I wonder when we will get them.

I better go for now. The boys are getting up.

Good Morning Maniacs!

Yesterday I just did one set of BBM w/weights. So far this is my 4th day straight of BBM's. I also worked shoulders. I am taking a rest day today, but I will continue with BBM's and my current workouts that I normally do.

Yeah, I like that song. I also like the Red Hot Chili Peppers too. I am not sure if I have heard of Blood Sugar Sex Magick? Do you like Marcy's Playground, "Sex and Candy"? BTW, I hope you feel better. The Polar A5 or F11 I have heard are good heartrate monitors which has everything you need. You can look it up at www.heartratemonitorsusa.com and see for yourself.

It is suppose to snow here today. So far just plain cold and gray. And makes me just want to nap too. I was up early with DD as she had a field trip today so had to go into school so friggin' early...like 5:30am. Gosh! So I will finish cleaning and nap. Thank goodness it is my rest day anyhow.

Hello Everyone,
Today I plan on doing FYC and PS back and will ride my airdyne. I only went 5.7 miles last night.

I have a lunch date with my ds10 today. He is so excited...He chose pizza Hut. GOODY!!

Sabrina it is yucky here today to. I want spring wheather soooo badly!!

Susan I am working on my strength again. Yesterday when I did PS chest I used 15lbs dumbells for bench press, and 25 and 30lbs with barbell. I think I could have went up, but it had been awhile since doing these.

Lora so do you think your music makes you lift heavier:7 haha.

Diane Sue my dh has a cracked tooth to he is going in tomorrow morning. I am so jealous.... he like only has one cavity???

Marietta yes I really liked that SB premix. That was the first time I did it?? I really need to take advantage of the premix's!! It like getting a new dvd. Oh btw my goals are to get more lean and defined. My rotation will be using S&H, GS doing 4 cardios and 4 ab workouts, and then a week of endurance, and a week of circuits etc... I will keep you posted!!

Dallas I did not even notice I got past 1000 posts??? Now the race is on:7 ha ha.

Christine thanks for the heads of on that premix!!

Good Morning Ladies!!

This morning I ran on my treadmill...I did a Hill Blaster workout. Ended up doing about 4-miles. That was absolutely all I had time for. I was up a little late last night...I had company last night and I sat and talked to her for a while. I could tell she needed someone to talk to...I'm glad I could be there for her. She's a young college student just dealing with all the pressures that come with that. It was cool...but my bed was calling.

I'm thinking I'll work my chest at lunch today...maybe do some drop-set pushups. We will see...

I started reading my Oxygen yesterday and I was reading where some of the subscribers are actually considering not reading the magazine anymore because Kelly Ryan had been on the cover in the past (she is currently facing murder charges with her husband). How crazy is that??!! As if the magazine is responsbile for her actions...what is the world coming to??

Christine - I'm glad I want back and checked yesterday's thread...I have seen Sari's before....I just didn't know what they were called...they are beautiful! I see quite a few of them around here. Thanks for taking the time to look that up. I'm sure you looked radiant...

Sabrina - We were supposed to get a lot more snow than we did...they talked about it for over a week and we barely got an inch! It is gray and damp...but that's better than a bunch of snow. Don't have anything against snow, but it's spring now and I don't want to see it at this point.

Nicole - I'm with you, I don't utilize the premixes nearly enough...I need to get on that. Keep us posted on the results you are getting with your rotation...sounds like an excellent plan. Have a great lunch with your son...

Dallas - How did PT go?

Terri - Will your dad be coming home today?

Diane Sue - Thanks for the info on Cardio Coach...So if I were going to buy just one...just one for now...which would you suggest? (Anyone else have an opinion? Chime right on in).

Lora - I'm trying to figure out how you and Toasty can listen to other music while working out to DVDs/videos...It would totally throw me off...how do you do it?

Toasty - What's with this rest day stuff (smile)...What the heck you up to these days?

Charolotte - Blood Sugar is the CD that has Under the Bridge, Give It Away and Breaking the Girl on it....but my favorite songs are Sir Psycho Sexy, If You Have to Aski and Power of Equality. The whole CD kicks major butt. It was on the VH1 show that they have about GREAT albums. Have you heard the Buck Cherry song yet?

ETA: Soul to Squeeze was recorded at the same time, but ended up as a sound track

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I did CM#3, PLB floor, and I was planning on getting in some treadmill time, however my ankle was sore from PT yesterday. Hmm, I thought this was supposed to help? I went in with no pain. Any thoughts? I may get to the gym later and do the elliptical. I'll just have to see about this ankle. :-(

Lora ~ I have a Polar hrm. I guess my model will be replaced by the F series. I have on from the M series.

Susan ~ Yes, how did your meat loaf turn out? I just checked on the weekend for that Oxygen nutrition issue. When did it come out?

Marietta ~ I only have CC#3, but when I did it a I backed it up, so I could go longer. So, you definitely should get #4 or 5. I was about to get either #4 or 5 when I hurt my foot. Now I'll just wait until I'm running again. The pt said yesterday that she wants me to try running there in a controlled environment. She did an assessment and gave me stretches to do yesterday. See above though...?????

Nicole ~ I like your rotation. When are you starting that? I'm doing S&H right now, but will have a week off because of our vacation. Maybe I'll join you when I get back?:)

Christine ~ I see your fasting meat as well for Lent. Do you get dizzy while working out? My cardio is hardly cardio. I couldn't imagine if I were running or doing Cathe cardio...I'd probably pass out. ;-) It's only been a little over two weeks for me. Greek Easter is a week after American Easter. I was also reading ETL (Dr. Furhman's book) and thought this is a good time to try vegetarianism. I thought that picture was you! :)

Charlotte ~ What's wrong with 5:30A?! ;-) lol! My dh gets up at 4A and I get up at 5A to workout. The weekends I get up at 6A. Where's your dd's field trip? How's BBM going? I'm going to add those in a few more times before vacation.

Terri ~ How's your dad? Your dad's health sounds a lot like my uncle.

Sabrina ~ You have a cold? ;( Get some Airborne from Walgreens. It helps!

Diane Sue ~ You're still getting in some great workouts while your dh is home? Are you still watching your grandkids while hubby is home?

I have some more b-day party stuff to do today. I almost have all the clothes washed for the trip. I'll probably pack this weekend.

Hi everyone,

Today I did MIC (no step, I didn’t want to do Step 2 days in a row) and then did PowerStrike kickboxing. My legs are fried. Last night I did half of Leaner legs (I raised the bb weight 10 more pounds)! If time permits, I’d like to do GS-Back.

Marietta, I just made spinach scrambled eggs. They were YUMMY! The meatloaf was ok. A little bland. The recipe said to use salsa, but I think next time I’ll use a tomato paste with jalapeños. Yesterday I asked everyone what weights they use for GS Chest. What do you use? I saw in the Oxygen magazine the same article. You gotta love the person who said they want to let themselves get fat because of her…yeah, that makes sense.

Nicole, I love going to Pizza Hut for lunch. Have a good time.

Sabrina, sounds like Spring is a long ways away for you guys.

5:30 am ain't nothin ladies - let's all get up at 2:30 am!!! Just kidding....I know I'm the only one that's not quite right here. I have always been a tad different. I've told you ladies before that I don't fit in.

MArietta - If I've done a workout a couple times, I have no problem listenning to my own music. I'm not one of these people that has to be with the exact beat of the music, but I have to admit I do break out and do my own thing during cardio once and a while if a particular song comes on and I can't resist, but just for a couple moments! I LOVE listening to my own music.....with the exception of Cathe DVDs'. Most of them, I need her cueing and I like the music. I can't do a complex step DVD with my own music though. I think you should get Cardio Coach 6 when it comes out Marietta!! I think you'll like them. I never thought I'd like Audio workouts, cuz I'm more of a visual person....but I like them.

Sabrina - I've not heard about my Turbo's yet.
 
Good morning lovely ladies!

I did FYC this morning. I like that workout better the more I do it. It really takes concentrating and working the muscle the way she says. But I still say that it she be Finding your Buns - OUCH! I also did PUB Chest and PUB abs (those pikes never end, do they? LOL). This afternoon it's either step class at the gym or do my Spinverals CD on a spin bike at the gym.

Lora - I really hope the bug goes away soon!

Sabrina - sorry to hear about your coughing. Hope you feel better soon! We're also cold here in *sunny* California. I am so looking forward to Spring!

Charlotte - you crack me up! You do BBM and shoulders, yet it's your rest day! I so admire that!

Nicole - Have fun riding today!

Marietta - that was sweet - thanks. Yeah, sari's are pretty. I enjoy wearing them.

Dallas - I've been keeping track of my protein and calories really carefully. I've found with going vegetarian I can eat a lot more (and I'm not as hungry over all, so I have to force myself to eat sometimes - which I NEVER thought I'd have to do!). I'm feeling a little more tired than usual, but I think that's more stress related (my job is awful right now, and my DH's DS is in all kinds of trouble) - I don't think it has anything to do with no meat. I'm not having any issues with cardio or exercise. You might want to track what you're eating for a few days just to make sure you're getting the calories you need. I swear, I'm planning on staying mainly vegetarian even after Lent. I really like it - except that I added ground flax seed to my diet yesterday and my body is having all kinds of fun with that! I figure it will take a few days to adjust...
 
Ok Just a quick note. I am off to pick dad up from the hospital and take him home. Later when I get back I will get busy on my workouts. Hope everyone has a great day.

Susan and Marietta I had a great lunch!! I enjoy that one on one time. I just had such a nice time visiting..... with no interuptions from the other kids:D

Dallas I plan to start this rotation April 3rd. I think A-jock did a GREAT job with this!! I am looking forward to doing this rotation!!

Christine I did FYC today, and ya know what I just really enjoyed it!! I have got everything down on this dvd.....FINALLY. I love that glute workout on the ball, but boy does it do a number on my hamstrings. I really have to stretch them good after that.

Terri--That is great news about your dad. Is he doing better then? Also for some reason my emails can't be delived to you. I hope everything is ok.
 
Terri - Great news about your Dad. That has to be stressful for you.

I just phoned home to check and see if any of my DVDs on order came in and my DH got irritated and said he was busy and to leave him alone. I again asked what he was doing and he told me it's none of my business. He hung up on me. So, I called back and said, I want to know what the heck you're doing now.......do you have a girlfriend over (just kidding ...of course) and he said, yes, but he wasn't serious. I then said, are you exercising? (he never does aerobics in the afternoon) and he said yes, I'm on the rebounder! I thought that was hilarious. He's become quite a rebounder hog. He's always coming up stairs to see if I'm finished using it in the mornings.
 
Terri--The emails still wont go thru. I get: Returned mail: delivery problems encountered. It happens every time one of us ladies sends you an email.

Hope all of you are having a wonderful day! Mine is going okay...so far I've been in meeting for about 4 hours and it's about to drive me crazy!!

I did a little elliptical at lunch and then I did a chest workout...I did the drop set pushups from GS-Chest and a few other exercises.

Lora - YOU FIT IN JUST FINE!! Be who you are...who the heck can define what normal is anyway? When and if they figure it out...I certainly don't want to be in that group. As long as you are true to yourself and what you believe, then it's all good. How about I get Cardio Coach #5 for now?? Sounds like your DH is really getting into your rebounder...

Terri - I'm glad your dad is well enough to go home. Please take it easy and don't stress yourself out. I know that's much easier said than done.

Nicole - I'm glad you had a great lunch...what kind of pizza did you guys get?? Hey is that the A-Jock rotation that we were going to do a few months ago or a different one.

Dallas - Very interesting that now your ankle is hurting...what kind of exercises did they have you doing...come on...spill it!

Christine - You cracked me up talking about your DH probably wanting a divorce due to your Flax consumption...loved it!!

Charlotte - Yes, I like the song Sex & Candy. I never heard the entire album though. Sir Psycho Sexy has some perverted and graphic lyrics and my DH gets mad at me cuz I always like all the wild and perverted stuff. It seems the older I get, the more I like hard rock. You think it would be the opposite.

Nicole - Yes, listening to my music makes me pound out the reps with the big boys!!! LOL!

My Cardio Coach Vol 2 & 3 got shipped today. I like having the variety to choose from.
