Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Amy Bento Advanced Step (or whatever its called). I swear I do worse following it each time I do it. I'm starting to despise her.....she doesn't cue like Cathe! I was always on the wrong foot and I stayed facing the front....I don't do the going around and turning stuff till I learn a workout facing the front. Pleeeezee....I'll kill myself! I still got a good workout. As I've said before, I'm getting really good at doing substitue moves when I don't get something. I make it up as I go along! LOL! My lower back is bothering me from too much impact, but I've yet to figure out how to modify Amy's on the rebounder like I do with Cathe. Maybe it will just take a few more tries. It's only the 3rd time I've done it. I also did a 5 min Pilates ab workout...ran out of time.

I'll check in from work today cuz I'm working with Charles and he's cool. It's just me and him today. My boss is in Chicago for 2 days!

Well in a couple days, I'll be taking my five days off that I take twice a year when we go to Vegas. I think I prefer doing my rests like this. I don't like to take a rest day every week. I just do cardio on Saturdays now instead of resting. I think 5 days of just walking and stretching twice a year is a good enough break, especially after my recent P90 Masters Rotation. I swear the Recovery Week was almost harder than the regular ones! LOL
 
Good morning Lora and everyone else! Great workout, Lora. I had that one and sold it. I twisted my ankle doing those stupid crazy shuffle things. I don't like using the back of the step for the entire workout, either, that got on my nerves. I don't like her cueing in this workout either and some of the things she says got on my nerves. I like her ab workouts and her strech workouts. I need to try the Bootcamp one and the All Pump one yet. I hope those are good.

This morning I did High Step Training Advanced. LOVE this workout!!! I like the way Cathe seperates this one with muscle groups. Like after the first blast and leg press section, she works triceps. The second one is shoulders and so on. I was in my zone for 42 minutes and burned 270 calories. Again, I was sweating like crazy and it was cold here this morning.

You are really burning some calories lately? Gosh, you must smell!!!! LOL! :p It is cold here this morning too. It warms up fast around here. It will be about 80 in 2 hours.

Good Morning,
I am going to do cardio, abs and stretch today. I will probably fit in some treadmill on the cardio. My Maximum Turbo Jams should be here pretty soon. I saw that it had been taken off of my credit card this am.

Lora, I am sure you are looking forward to the break. Everytime I go to Vegas I feel like I need a rest. There is so much walking there too. So I would imagine you are still active:)

Debbie I like HSTA too. Circuits are such a great way to get everything in.

Today I will do cardio kicks. (havent done that one in awhile) Last night I did bodymax step portion only and Push Pull upper body premix.

Lora I take WAY more rests days than you :D Hope you have a GREAT time in Vegas and win BIG:7

Debbie HSTA I think is one of Cathes best. When I last did it I thought MAN if I just worked this one in ONCE a week?? ALL those leg press's would do my BUTT GOOD;)

I only skimmed yesterdays so I hope I don't miss anyone questions.

Sabrina I agree with the others I think you should go to the Wedding..... Maybe just do not talk to your mom about this topic??

Terri I hope Dave does get this job!! Sending prayers and positive vibes his way!!

Diane Sue so sorry to hear about you DD. I hear those cysts can be very painful. My friend had one that burst and she thought she was dying:-( Is the pain meds giving her relief?? I hope so!! I will be saying prayers for her as well. Can you tell me her name?

Charlotte have you started you job yet? If so how are you liking it?? If not when do you start??

Dallas you sound like you are busy (Like me:D ) with all the kids stuff. I have A LOT of things going with ALL them:eek: I am SOOOOO... looking forward to summer!!

I decided last week that I did not want that job so I didn't take it and called to tell the lady so. I don't want alot of day hours cuz I have stuff to do at home. Evening job would work better for me. Hubby wants me to work at the bank. Maybe he should work there then?? LOL! Had a interview yesterday. Hours vary there so that might work. I like variety. I am still hoping that a evening job will pop up for me. I think that suits me better.

Charlotte-Look at retail if you want evening hours.

Nicole-I did a slim series workout yesterday on top of everything else Idid and boy do my legs and glutes feel it! It is amazing what muscles those workouts hit!

Today is bodymax and a core max. I may also go to the park and do a power walk. I will see how I feel.

Debbie - High Step Challenge is one of my favorite Cathe's also! I almost did a Cathe step tape today, but I'm kind of curious to see if I could ever learn that Bento one. If you haven't noticed, I haven't been doing Cathe lately. I always get totally obssessed when something new that I like, but then I think I got a bit burned out on Cathe and I'm a variety junkie.....so I've been mixing it up. Also, going over the Videofitness Forum, you can't help but do more than Cathe.

Charlotte - you don't have to do anything for me just cuz I want to share my music with you....but if you do, I won't get mad..LOL! Seriously, I just am excited about sharing it with you cuz I know you like the same kinda music I like.

Good Morning Maniacs!

Nothing like a good night's sleep! :7 I even got up when my alarm went off at 5A. I did PUB even the abs this time. I still plan on doing GSL floorwork and 30 minutes on the treadmill. My ds seems OK. I decided to wait to take him to the doc. It may just be allergies. One minute he congested and the next his nose is running. It's zyrtec time.

Nicole ~ I hear you on being busy. I just got dd's game schedule. Oh boy! You'll be happy to know I've been decluttering. I have three bags filled. Mostly toys, but I feel "lighter". lol :7

Debbie ~ I love HSTA!!! Such a fun workout. I miss my circuit workouts. :-(

Diane Sue ~ How's your dd? Yes, what's her name?

Nicole-Thanks! I didn't really want to talk to my mom about it in the first place because I knew she would not be happy. I thought I had better be the one to tell her though. She would have been mad if she found out I knew and didn't tell her. I can't win. Enjoy cardio kicks!! Maybe I should get something to kick and punch! lol

Terri-I did make it to the track yesterday thanks for asking. I seemed to be having a hard time though. I don't have long left to train either. Shoot! Emily will end up making me eat dust. lol I seem to do better on the treadmill than outside. Have a nice time at the park! How is your family? Has Dave heard about his interview?

Waiting to see what the weather is going to be like outside today and then I plan on getting out for a walk or a bike ride. Also some crunches and push ups and whatever else I feel like doing. Probably not a lot since I was up most of the night. The ETHN 02 truck came by last night and ran me over! LOL! I hate it when Ds4 gets up in the middle of the night. I also have a headache and a sore throat.

Glad you Ds is doing ok. I take claritin for my allergies plus the antigens from my allergy doctor. Allergies are a pain. I hope your son gets to feeling a lot better soon.

I am still trying to catch up on laundry (mine is left). Since mine gets hung up to dry it takes a lot longer to get done. lol

Sabrina!!!! I know all about catching up with vacation laundry! Blech! I have two of those drying racks, but I need more hanging space. I think my whole family is suffering from allergies right now. :-( Not me! ;-) Thank goodness. Sorry about the sleep. It's been rough over here too. :-( Did you upload your pictures yet? I still want to get that done today.

OK, now I'm really going to go finish my workout!

Charlotte - you can PM me if you want cuz I won't get my email till tonight after work.

I guess I'm the only freak here. I can NEVER let my vacation laundry sit. I go absolutely nuts when I get home taking care of mail, email, unpacking and doing laundry and won't stop until it's ALL done. I really know how to stress myself out. I hate coming home to that mess. I don't have the personality to handle that kind of stuff. Remember ladies - I don't have any kids.....so I may not be as tolerant as most of you! LOL! My DH is the same way.....only he only has to unpack and throw his laundry in the pile it goes in and then he's on the couch catching up on General HOspital and Survivor or the show's that he watches and then he's sleeping while I'm still running around like a wild woman.
 
OK, excuse my intrusions, it's just that I've been at this for 3 weeks now. It is so important to write 3 simple goals, take the "before" pictures and ADHERE TO 90% CLEAN EATING DAY IN AND DAY OUT. It's very difficult in the first week, then it becomes very easy as you feel changes occurring. Suddenly you don't want to jeopardize your hard earned progress.

Why don't you have Lori, or the 12 Week Challenge spokesperson, write a brief notice about the start and finish dates, proposed method of evaluating results, etc... and ask SNM to "pin it up" at the top of Open Discussion". Then whomever is participating can just post "I'm in!". That we you can all continue with the weekly support thread (which is HUGE for support)and have a reminder of who's working with the group.

Enough said. I'll be rooting for you!

Good Morning All -

I simply cannot type today! It took me five tries to write Good Morning. Anyway ...

Did P90X Legs and Back followed by Ab Ripper X. Hmm, I was expecting an easier workout from what everyone said about this one. It may not work the legs like a Cathe workout, but holy cow it works them! My hams and butt are feeling it like they have NEVER felt it before. I really enjoyed this one! Ab Ripper was really tough after all the leg work. Those Fifer Scissors about killed me! But the burn was good.

My day is going to be spent showing someone how to take over my job. I'm so looking forward to it *rolls eyes* Oh well, I am looking forward to my time off.

Lora - ENJOY YOUR DAY without your nasty boss! I'm glad you check in! That Amy Bento Step Workout sounds crazy.

Debbie - I don't have HSTA. Sounds like a great one. I may have to check into it after my rotation with Tony.

Charlotte - love the idea of adding plyo's inbetween upperbody work! More calories and a killer workout!

Nicole - I love Cardio Kicks. That and Circuit Max were my first two Cathe workouts, and I still love them. Have fun!

Diane Sue - oooh, new videos! Enjoy!

Sabrina - I hope you're feeling better soon - and the little ones are feeling better as well. How's your DS's ear?

Dallas - glad DH seems better. Allergies are horrible here in California right now from all the rain. We've had a few sunny days and EVERYTHING decided to bloom at once. So, I understand how your DH is feeling! I actually think the Plyo's in P90X are easier than the ones in IMax 3. That being said, yeah, it's not a series for a sore foot.

Finished my workout!

Lora ~ Do you want me to to drive up to Chicago and punch your boss in the nose? ;-) :+

Christine ~ It was my ds who I thought had an ear infection because he was tossing and turning and crying all night (Tuesday night). He seemed fine during the day yesterday, so I didn't take him to the doc. But, yes, dh is also suffering from allergies. I love this time of the year, but I hate that everyone is miserable in my house right now. :-(

Good afternoon,
This morning I Did SJP w/u and step, HSch cardio segments only and then iFIT red rock treadmill workout. I am doing Turbo Jam ab jam and then some weighted ab work of my own with the Bowflex and free weights followed by one of the stretch max segments.

Dallas and Nicole my dd's name is Candy. Thanks for your support. We will be taking her in at 8:45 Monday. She will stay with me to recuperate.

Dallas, that lower body move that you e mailed is on P90X legs and back. I like this move

Lora, I am like you, even when my children were at home I would stay up all night to get that laundry done and everything put back in it's place.

Terri, I hope things work out well for your son soon.

Christine, I really liked some of those lower body moves in P90X. That is why I would like to still incorporate it in my workouts. For those and the extra back work. I like those sneaky lunges. No weights on a lot of it but excellent moves.
