Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Sunday 2-5

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Jari Love's Get Ripped follwed by 25 minutes of high intensity cardio from the Biggest Loser DVD (yes, with Bob) and then I did Rainbeau Mars Pure Tranquility Yoga.

Get Ripped is a basic weight lifting (total body) workout that runs 55 minutes long. It is VERY high rep. I guess it was okay, but I don't like the music and after I do it a few times, I'd listen to my own music. Same thing with the Biggest Loser DVD....music sucks! That's probably the biggest reason I miss Cathe right now.....but it will just be even better when I finally go back to it!!

I'm starting to get worried cuz I still can't smell and I'm on day 4 of my medication. I looked up the surgery for nasal polyps on line and the risks are sort of bad. Leakage of cerebrospinal fluid, damage to the optic nerves, etc. I really hope I don't have to have this, but I NEED to smell. I'm off to soak in my tub and not enjoy and of the aromatherapy aspects, as I can't smell!! I hate this!

Diana Sue - How much extra aerobics are you adding to P90X? I'm very interested in what you're doing since you lost 5 pounds. Please let me know. I know I don't have the kind of time you have to work out so it would be hard for me to do a P90X rotation with extra aerobics. I'll probably just do the Lean Rotation format, but I'll do Plyometrics for cardio instead of Cardio X (when I do it).

Have great workouts everyone and I'll check back later. We're going to see another movie that doesn't look to great today. My husband's all psyched for the big game tonight......(since we're Steeler's fans).

Marietta ~ I knew it! :p I don't like taking rests days either, so I can understand. Hey, do you do Stampin' Up? I do, but have not pulled out my stuff in awhile. I use my stamps when I scrapbook too. I'm little behind on that too. :-( I may have more time soon depending on what the doctor says tomorrow. Thanks to responding to my e-mail! :)

Diane Sue ~ Thanks for detailed description of the P90X workouts you've done. You could be a salesperson! ;-) There's an auction on e-bay right now, but I think I'd buy from the site if I did. At least you can return them if you don't like them, right? I'll wait to see what's up with this foot.

Nicole ~ How's the TLT rotation going?

Hi Terri, Sabrina, Susan and Lisa! :)

We have a b-day party this afternoon before the Superbowl. However, with my little one still running a temp. we will have to divide up again. :-( I plan on doing ME upper body & abs. I will also add on some abs from Ab Hits (no planks) and a stretch. I'll have to figure out when I will do this.;-) I've been icing my foot all weekend and giving it rest, but it hurts more now?!?! x( Ho hum!!

Good Morning,
Today I am doing P90X stretch. I have my grandson here and am taking him to the grocery store and church in a little while. Then I am setting up my small queen anne desk in my workout room as I am helping finish out the year of homeschooling for my grandson (kindergarten). Next year he will go to first grade at a public school. Maybe where his mother teaches. I would like to get lessons over with before I pick up his cousin and am going to try and keep up my workouts too. I may have to get up earlier. I had a fun evening at my dd last night playing games and dinner. I even pretty much stuck with the meal plan. It was supposed to be steak & broccoli stir fry. I had steak and salad. I skipped the brownies and potatoes and baked beans. 1 indulgence of a margarita:)

Lora, I hate when the music isn't good on a workout. I am not good at adding my own so just ignore it or shelve the workout for once in awhile. As far as cardio w/ P90X I am doing between 45min and 1 hour. I have only done Cardio X a couple of times. I usually add on 5 I Max intervals, treadmill running, or some extra kickboxing to the Plyometrics and Kempo. It is the same amount of cardio I normally do. I am following the nutrition plan pretty closely too.

Marietta, I knew you wouldn't be able to resist a workout.

Morning Ladies!

Sorry I have not been on lately, I have sick kids. My oldest son is coughing. My middle son came home from school early Friday with a fever, sore throat, and a nasty cough and he threw up yesterday morning. I hope the fever goes away soon. My youngest has a nasty cough and a running/stuffed up nose. What an interesting weekend. NOT! lol My middle son is upset because his birthday is Thursday the 9th and he is afraid he will still be sick. Poor baby!

I have some pictures on my picture trail for you ladies. I have no idea what I am doing with my hair yet but I will be sure to take some pictures on the 18th for you all to see. I hate having my picture taken.

I will have to go back and read the posts from the last couple days to catch up to what everyone is up to.

Dallas-I hope you little ones gets better soon. Dividing up is no fun but it seems like it has to be done here a lot too.

Have fun watching the superbowl for those that are watching. Don't know if we will or not.

Good morning! It's a beautiful sunny (but VERY cold) morning here in WI. I'm looking forward to a relaxing day off from work. Today's workout is Bootcamp plus intervals 1-5 of IMAX 2.

All the talk of P90X has me, once again, considering purchasing it. I have a really difficult time getting these little muscles to increase in size, and maybe P90X will help do the trick.

Lora-When I was really worried about something Marietta sent me an e-mail that had a scipture in it that helped me to let go of the worry. I bet she knows which one it was and would send it to you. It is not easy to let go of worry but it sure helped me!
Dallas-I will praying for your DR. appt to go well and that you can get back to the maniac level soon :)
Nicole-Thanks for your TLT's info. Between those and pd0x I forsee some buying in my future :) I also really want a rebounder so I have no clue what to purchase next. I am thinking p90x would be more of a bulk up series and I don't want to bulk. WHat do you think?
Diane Sue-I guess I can ask you that too. Does p90x bulk you up? ARe you a naturaully this gal who is trying to bulk? I see your pics and you look fantastic. Well defined so I am just curious to what your goals are with p90x.
Marietta-I knew a rest day was not going to happen for you :)

I was not planning on a rest day today even though the rotation calls for one. I really want to run. Problem is I am sick. I ache all over and I am weak. I will see how I fel later. I hate being sick. Yesterday afternoon I just laid on the couch and watched movies. That was hard for a hyper person like me to do!

Today I will ride my airdyne (with a book!!):7 Then I will do a TLT.... the Strength one with Jen.

Dallas I am really enjoying the Firm/Tlt/airdyne rotation. Of course on dvds I don't have I just sub. Cathe or SS. Gosh my butt can still feel firm it up from Friday}( Have fun at your parties :D

Sabrina sorry to hear your kids have been sick.Hope they get well quickly!!

I just got back from church and thought I would check and see what was happening while waiting to talk to DH.

Lora, I usually do 6 days a week of cardio

Terri, there are several plans on P90X. One is the classic plan, lower on cardio. Then there is the lean plan and the doubles plan. Doubles is extra cardio in the am and weights in the pm. You also adjust your weight/reps according to your goals. I would like a little more mass in areas but want to stay lean as well. That is why I go heavy and do lots of cardio.

Lisa, it is sunny and clear here in Oklahoma as well. The wind kind of makes it chilly,but I am sure it is much warmer here than where you are:)

Nicole, my grandson would love to have your daughter here. I think him and his cousin that I pick up from the morning kindergarten will enjoy each others company.
