Yay ....it's Friday. I didn't hear my alarm go off AGAIN....what is wrong with me? I wanted to do weights and cardio! I was gonna do Amy's All Pump but didn't have time to drag everything out, so I did Minna Lessig's One Minute Workout. It's a DVD full of 100 minutes or so of weighted exercises and it has a matrix where you choose if you want a beginner or advanced workout and the length of time you want to work out and which body parts. Each time you do this, it gives you exercises in a totally different sequence so you never do the same workout twice. I set mine for a 50 minute total body workout....but something must have happened, cuz I was still going at 1 hour and 10 minutes. I don't know if it was cuz I skipped an exercise or 2 and then it took me off of the programming or if I just hit next and started repeating the workout. So, I finally just quit and did the cool down and stretch. I jogged in between exercises to keep my HR up since I had no time for aerobics.

Diana Sue - Yes, the newest pack of Turbo Jam are supposed to be more advanced. I've only done the 1/2 hour interval one (which was very good) and about 15 minutes of Punch,Jam and Kick. If I remember correctly, I believe Chalene wanted to relase them as somewhat easier workouts in the beginning to have everyone learn the moves and then she's supposed to make each set progressively harder. She did mention somewhere that she decided to make a few 30 minute workouts because that's all people can fit in sometimes and if you want a longer workout, you can just repeat sections. Also, regarding the danciness of them - if you really don't like to shake it, or if you feel like you're in a more "athletic" mood that day, you can just leave that booty shakin' suff out and still get a good workout. There is something about her intensity and the way she tells you to really get down into the punch that makes your HR really elevate. I count on TurboJam for my intense Kickboxing!

Hi to everyone else. It's Friday and it's pay day, so I don't know if I'll be able to check in too much from work today.

Susan - regarding working out with a red face....I workout in my living room, and I turn the heat down to 66 before I start working out. I'm extremely light skinned and I have porcelain skin. I turn red very easily when I'm upset or hot. My skin is also very sensitive and turns red from other irritations.....so I always thought that's why I turn so red.

TGIF Ladies! I couldn't s;eep last night for some reason. I didn't check in yesterday as I was pretty busy but I did go read the thread. Welcome back Dallas! I am glad your trip went well and youhad so much fun. Coming back to reality is always hard for me after a vacation.

So what does everyone have planned for the weekend? I will be going to Ashley's birthday celebration tomorrow night. Should be fun and I love going downtown. I think I may give Dave and Ashley a horse and carriage ride.

Well Since I am up I might as well get started on my workouts for the day. Lowmax is on the rotation for me today but you all know me, I will add to it :)

Good Morning ladies!

Terri ~ I was up last night too. My ds6 was up sick all night. :-( My dd got sick in Disney World, but just one time. We thought it was from the heat. Maybe not? Have fun celebrating Ashley's b-day this weekend. I met a family from Denver in Disney and thought of you. They were such a nice family.....just like YOU!:) :)

I was so excited last night when I set the alarm for 5A. Oh well. This is my workout time, but I would only have 8 minutes left. Hopefully, I'll get something in later today. My tummy is gurgling. Oh no! :eek: I hope the stomach flu is not our souvenir! :+

I'd love to hear about your new DVDs Marietta.

Not many here are sleeping well lately? Include me too. My cat came in last night and practically slept on my face. I don't know what is up with her. She was feeling very affectionate in the middle of the night. Gosh!

Lora thanks for the info on the Turbo Maximum Results dvd's. I like the dancy stuff. I think they are fun. It sounds like I want these as well. I just wanted them to be a little harder cardio-wise. Is the Cardio Party remix advanced or the same as the others?

Welcome back Dallas--Glad you had a great time at Disney! I want to hear all about your trip when you have time. I hope you didn't get the flu as a souvenir too, that would not be good. lol I took a new client to see a house yesterday and he is interested in it. I had to give him some phone numbers for the banks here in town and he was going to have his wife call them. I hope I hear from him real soon. I have decided to run in the Race for the Cure on May 13th with Emily.

Christine-I am looking into the donation thing. I think I can make a page and you can donate to it. Not sure though. I have to figure out who to ask. I will get back to you.

Lora-I hope you have a good day at work today. You must need the extra sleep or you wouldn't keep sleeping in.

Welcome back Dallas!! I missed you around here. It will be great getting back to your workouts. How is your foot feeling? By the way, I never answered your question of why I went to PT. I had Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome. Which was corrected through electric stimulation., since I had VERY Weak Vastus Medialis.

Marietta, I didn’t know it was your Birthday. I’m SO sorry.

When is everyone’s Birthday? I don’t want to miss anyone else.
Sabrina is November 12, Dallas is March 2, Nicole is June 23. Is that correct?

Today I’d like to do L&G. I also need to stack more wood. It’s going to get up to a balmy 45 degrees today.

Sabrina Amy posted her presale, but all I can say is WOW....It is not like Cathes:7 For 2 new dvds she is coming out with they will be 53.95. (they will have premixes) For all 6 dvds 149.65 that is with shipping included. Not to sure if I want to spend that much??? I have got until april 30th to think about it:D

I may just end up going for the Turbo jams!! Thanks for the review Diane Sue. I have heard that Turbo jams are going to be on QVC on April 25th. Maybe they will be selling the advanced set at a better deal???

Susan get a book on tape or as Marietta mentioned I hear cardio coach is good!! That may help you get over your bordom factor with the treadmill. Once you get back at the habit of it.....It won't be so boring.... You can do anything for a minute..... just go minute to minute :D

Christine WELL what do you think of POX so far:7 I know you just got it!! What did you do first??? Hope you enjoy, and get lots of new muscles!! Keep us posted!!

Susan--My birthday is July 13th. The race is 3.1 miles. I have just started running. I am following a schedule from www.coolrunning.com that Emily gave me. I have always wanted to run in a race (even if I don't go very fast). I have never been much into running either but I am going to give it a try.

Nicole-Is that a presale?? lol What do the workouts cost not in the 6 pack? That is a lot of money to get all 6. Not sure I will do that right now. I am going to buy a new pair of shoes for the race next month. lol Go for the Turbo Jams. I have not even been able to preview mine yet. This week will be packed with things to get done and do too.

Hey Maniacs!!

I'm not at work today so I'm a little late checking in. I'm trying to get my husband's desk organized...not working. I don't know how he can work with stuff spread all over the place!! I tried to be patient and let him take care of it....now I know I will throw something away that he needs but this is ridiculous!!

So far I have only walked a couple of miles on my treadmill. I'm going to do Amy Benuto's Boot Camp workout shortly. I think the cost for the sale is pretty expensive...I'm really okay with the two I have for now.

Well...As far as my birthday is concerned I guess I don't know why I never came right out and said it. Sorry. Thanks for all of you well wishes. I appreciate it.

Lora - I have problems waking up sometimes too...but once I get up I'm fine. Seems like I don't fall into a deep sleep until it's time for me to wake up and then I wake up later than I intended.

Terri - Have fun celebrating with Ashley!! Please don't feel bad about my birthday..that was my fault.

Dallas - I think it was Nicole that first peaked my interest in Amy Benuto. YOu should check out her web-site...although I can't tell you what it is. I think there is a thread out there that mentions it. I'm about to do the Bootcamp and it looks pretty tough. I also got an Advanced Step workout of hers...very hard, but I love a challenge. She has good clips you can review on her site.

Toasty - Have fun shopping!! I wish I could do some shopping, but can't right now.

Sabrina - Let me know if I can help you in any way with your running...I'm very proud of you!

Diane Sue - Awesome workout...as usual!! One of these days I'll order those Turbo James...I think.

Diane Sue - Ab Ripper kicked my butt today! I hope you have fun with it. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Nicole - oh, I think I'm going to like P90X just fine. I'm a tomboy, and I'm used to hanging with the guys. This series feels like I'm doing that. It's humbling though - as I told Diane Sue, Ab Ripper kicked my butt. I have not been humbled by an ab routine in a while. I love it!

Sabrina - Thanks for posting that website! I contributed! Sounds like a good time and a great reason to start running. I love the Cool Running website and the couch potato to 5k. I'll be here cheering you on!!

I did Kenpo X and Ab Ripper X today. I have to admit that I was very leery of Kenpo X because everyone here does not seem to like it. But I really enjoyed it. I've taken Tae Kwon Do and Krav Maga and the drills on this one were like the drills in those classes so it was like coming home. I also burned as many calories as I do when I do KPC or CK. My lats are on fire! I'm loving it. I can also see why people do not like it. It's very NOT Cathe-like or even Tae Bo like. It's just a series of drills. But it does get your heart rate up if you put your all into it. Ab Ripper - well it's aptly named. I cannot wait until I can do all reps for all exercises. I did okay, but I'm not where I want to be.

Hi Christine...I think you and I were posting at the same time earlier.

I did Amy Benuto's Boot Camp. It was a pretty good workout. I think the rest periods were a little long. I mean if you do IMAX 3...you get where I'm coming from. However, I like the drills...I don't not think this workout is nearly as complex as her Advanced Step. She had some unique moves...I liked it.

Sabrina - I will surely donate...just can't right now. I've got time right?

I'm waiting for my dh to come home so we can go to dinner...
