Hardcore Fitness Maniac Machines 2/5/2007

I'm so depressed about this job stuff. I did not get good news from the Unemployment Office. If I do get approved, God only knows how long it is before I actually get a check. No jobs on the Internet or in the Paper this weekend.

This is frustrating.

Randi - Yes, you are BAD! I'm glad you had fun though. Can you keep the secret from your mom?

Diane Sue - Can you help me? I have THE WORST flabby triceps in the world. Aside from diet, which I know is answer #1, and aside from sculpting with the high pressure water sprayer which would cut off all of the hanging flab, which is answer #2 :p, what can I do for those things? They're terrible!!! I can see them flapping when I do pullups. I can feel those suckers flapping when I do the stars in Kenpo X! I wonder if I should do more reps, lighter weights or less reps, heavier weights. When I had dinner with Porter Freeman and his trainer Eric, I asked Eric what to do about these wings - should I train them more and he said no. But I'm thinking YES! Because NO is not working. I even asked my friend who is always very complimentary of me and always warns me not to lose weight (you know how people are) and she said that for as fit as she thinks I am she can see that they are flabbier than they should be. What the heck??? Thanks!

I already did Ab Ripper and my bonus chest work with weights and I did a total of 201 pushups!!! OMG!!! I think I will be sore tomorrow...oh, yeah!!!

Are we talking about the same person in the picture with your arm showing? I don't see anything flabby just lots of muscle and definition. We are the hardest critics of ourselves. I bet they are not flabby. JMHO

Oh, I'm so sorry you are feeling blue. Just remember, things always change and it won't be that way all the time. You will find a job you were meant to be in. Don't worry. Just know (with a positive attitude) that it will be a job of your dreams. Really! Positive attitudes are important tools.

RE: Drill Max - Is it a good enough workout to consider as a weight workout? Probably not, huh? I remember doing the total body premix and I didn't get sore. I still haven't done it in it's entirety yet. Is it a workout you can do and then the next day still do a weight workout??
 
Char Char - You're way too kind. I stand VERY still in pictures and make sure I put my hands on my hips. :) They really are bad. For my friend to tell me what she did they would have to be. She is my greatest cheerleader and whenever I talk about wanting to lose 5 or 10 pounds she's the first to tell me I'm nuts. But today I showed her how those things swing and she did agree that they probably swing more than they should for my level of fitness. She wondered if that's just "the way I'm built". Yeah, maybe, but there's got to be something I can do to firm 'em up more. Like I said, I know diet is a biggie. Maybe more cardio? You know I'm kinda a cardio addict.

Hey Suz, I'll trade my triceps for your legs. Actually, my triceps aren't too bad but you should see the wrinkles above my elbows when I stand with my arms straight down.

Actually, I need a full body lift at the top of my shoulders to pick up all the sagging skin. Gravity is really working on this body. I....can....feel....it....pulling....meee...dooooowwwwnnn.... Oops, got carried away :7.

We are back to phase 1, right? Today is Chest/Back? Then after 3 weeks, we repeat phase 2 again, well recovery week inbetween. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Well I think you look great at any rate. I got the saggy skin over knees and yes, Netta...got the wrinkles by elbows too. Maybe I just have too much skin? lol. How much protein are you getting? Probably enough, huh? I would say increase protein and add more cardio and go as heavy as you can, but you probably already are. Just a wild guess, but I am no expert.

Good evening everyone. I am late posting. It has been a very busy day. The whole week will be that way. We have company in town from Washington. We are having a birthday dinner here Friday for 19 people. Anyway today I did the M&F Hers rotation again. This is week 2 of phase one. It changes next week. I also ran on the treadmill 4.5 miles and did Amy Bento's Stretch segment 2. I have been adding 3 sets of bicep curls to this rotation as there are no exercises just for biceps. Most exercises are supposed to multi joint compound exercises that call in biceps & triceps as secondary muscles.

Amber and Janie, it is Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine Jan/Feb issue. Amber I crack up everytime I type it thinking of what you said. It does sound funny:7

Janie, I will have to pull out my legs & glutes dvd and check what they called it. It does the the entire thing twice except the floorwork. You are in for a treat}( Just checked it is legs and glutes extreme 79 min.. It is a premix on the L&G KPC dvd.Have fun with Rythmic Step. I always enjoy that one.

Debbie, I don't get M&F. I pick the magazines up at the store. I am doing the M&F Hers advanced fine tune you 6 week rotation in the Jan/Feb issue. Are you referring to Muscle & Fitness? I may have to look at that one.

Lora, I think drill max as is hits a lot of shoulders and legs are hit a lot especially with the combo of cardio and the weights. I always feel like a little is lacking if I am wanting it for upper strength. It would be good if you had time to add maybe one round of Body Max2 upper to it.

Jeanette - You're so funny! My legs look better when I'm standing still too! Hehehe.

Charlotte - Hmmm...maybe I'm not getting enough protein. What might that do? I do try to balance protein and carbs, but when I screw up my eating, I eat more carbs and less protein.

Diane Sue - Did you see my question? I know you're busy so I'll just keep asking you every day. :p

I'll have to remember that! My vet gave me some other medicine for now. My dog pooped the whole time I was in the hot tub tonight, squat, drip, squat, drip, squat, drip, etc.. Hope she got it all out, poor thing. She's on new food and medicine today.
