Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 8/20

Today was Meso 3, Week 2, Disc 30, Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps. Again, I changed some of the exercises with this workout, I used the same ones I did last week but increased my weights by 5%, in some cases more.

So this is what I did:

Approximately 1 minute rest between each exercise and grouping.

Warmup:
Standing Barbell Front Press - 25#/15 reps
Standing Barbell Front Press - 30#/12 reps

Workout:
Standing Barbell Front Press - 47#/7 reps
Barbell Curl - 57#/7 reps
Flat Bench Tricep Dumbbell Extension - 22's/7 reps
***Did 4 sets of these exercises.

Seated Lateral Raise - 12.5's/7 reps
Incline Curls on Stability Ball - 27's/7 reps
Double Arm Overhead Extension - 30#/7 reps
***Did 4 sets of these exercises.

Seated Rear Delt Flyes - 16's/7 reps
Seated Concentration Curls - 27's/7 reps
Close Grip Barbell Press - 66#/7 reps
***Did 4 sets of these exercises.
****I increased more then 5% on the CGBP because at 63# it was way too light. 66# was just about perfect.

Have to work a half day today due to me being on vacation all of next week! :D I need to get some stuff ready for the girl who is doing my job next week.

Debbie - Excellent workout :) Are you going anywhere for your vacation or just taking (much needed) time off?

Posted late last night. Not sure what I'll do today. Short bike interval workout probably. DS is leaving for California on Sunday. He'll be traveiling with his dad (by train) - so I'll be taking him to Denver on Saturday night. They'll leave early the next morning. Actually, I'm glad my vacation time is over. Happy he has this opportunity but it will also give me time to catch up from our AZ trip and get some things done. Taking him to his physical (for school) in about an hour.

Have great workouts everyone :)

Lori

I got my workout in. I had a call from my son in law askingme to pick up the girls today. I need to return the car booster seat to Target so I will go to the one closer to the girls school. I started with Kelly's Olympic Lift workout 32 minutes 197 calories using a 25# bar for w/up and a 35# for the rest. I then did Power Sculpt 33 minutes using mostly 12 and 15# dumbbells 33 minutes 230 calories. I followed that with Lift Quick Body refiner 8 minutes 38 calories using a 35# barbell and I picked up 5's for those crunch leg lifts. I always get cramps in my hamstrings on the glute raise roll in with feet on the bar

I finished off with Tracey's Steady State Step Power Step Premix 28 minutes 169 calories. Total workout time was 1 hr 41 minutes and calories burned was 634.
I am hoping to do a Hiit workout in the morning. I have to be ready to leave early (around 7) for a Bike Run. We are meeting at Applebee's for breakfast.

Debbie, good job on the CGBP:D Are you taking a recovery during vacation??

Lori, I will have to go read last nights post. I hope you get what you need done. I am going crazy looking at my roses and shrubs that need some trimming and care. With the allergies, heat, and lack of time I just am not getting outside.

Theresa, I have a mess when I type on my iphone. It keeps trying to correct and gives me odd words that it guesses I mean LOL

We are just planning on doing motorcycle hops here and there. Day trips. Looking forward to it! :D Hopefully the weather will hold out. If not, we're ok with just staying home.

I'm not sure about the recovery week next week because I just had one. I'm going to try and get my workouts in. Since we aren't going overnight anywhere it shouldn't be too bad to get them in. I'll post them when I do.

Hey everyone,

yesterday was Gym Style Legs warm up, squats, calves, then the floor work, and then the abs from Tracey's Hi/Lo Med Ball.

For today, I just got back from yoga class not that long ago. It was fun and challenging. I missed it during my two weeks of visiting the fam and very few workouts.

So I'm sure this has already been discussed, but as I didn't post for a couple weeks, I was wondering what you guys think of new workouts coming up? Are you pre-ordering? I've never pre-ordered from Cathe before...I don't pre-order often, in general. I think I may this time, though. =)

Theresa - That's quite a lot of leg presses  Good workout. I babbled on to you last night about the Budokon (and my back). I probably should have just waited and posted this morning. Feeling good but keeping myself reeled in for a couple more days.

Debbie - Much to be said for time off at home. I prefer it in a lot of ways. Traveling tends to wear me out. Day trips sound Great.

Diane Sue - I've had the same trouble. They're replacing our siding today and as we speak, a guy has his scaffold on top of one of my rose bushes  I thought about saying something but really, what's he supposed to do? It's where it needs to be and protecting him from the thorns to a certain extent, so ... But yah. Our yard looked pretty needy when we got home. It still does. Maybe while DS is gone I'll find some time to get to it. At least I don't have a problem with allergies - yours have really been hard on you lately, huh? Great workout, btw :) I get hammie cramps sometimes with really intense isolation moves - the one you describe seems to fit that description.

Hermia - Glad you got your yoga class in. Friday morning's your favorite one, right? I've been better about including yoga in my schedule - at least lately - and enjoying it very much. I did pre-order Cathe's new workouts. I saw some comments that the pre-sale prices didn't seem THAT great - but I'd already placed my order. They look good, huh?

Lori-I must have missed that post yesterday....sorry :( Probably best to not go Full-Maniac  And it was a LOT of leg presses, by the 4 rounds I was cussing like a sailor :D

Hermia-nice workouts, has teaching started back for you yet? I pre-ordered and then cancelled it. I did some math and for all 4 you really only save a few dollars. With the site I normally order from, I get 10 off and free shipping. So will spend 7.00 more to wait and hear reviews.

Diane Sue-the iphone is taking quite a bit of patience (which I do not have). I can't get stuff synced to do other things.....I bought it from a friend so it had stuff on it already and it's been a real pain so far. I have downloaded a ton of games and a violin tuner which is pretty cool :D
