I did Extremely Ripped 1000 yesterday. It was hard
I’m not really sure what I think about the workout other than that. I went into it with a pretty empty tank. Should have given myself more time after being sick probably, but I really wanted to try it -- bonked about half way through.. At that point, it would have been better if I’d have just called it good, or at least chosen one of the easier levels (Yah. Right). I can be stubborn (see also pig headed, stupid). I did finish it. Diane Sue, I can sure see why you said you get one of your highest calorie burns from this one. There’s a lot of variety, though the cardio itself seemed pretty basic/repetitious. Some of those level three intervals were deceptive (I think I saw smoke coming off my thighs a couple times
). Each bout was short enough that nothing seemed to drag on too long - except the workout itself. That was a LONG hour for me, but that was my own fault. Could have used better judgment. I will try it again next week. Surely I’ll be feeling better by then. NOTHING would have been fun yesterday.
Diane Sue - I’ve never tried the Pyramid’s premix. I previewed it once. It looks good. I don’t hear about too many people seeking out leg presses
Do you really like them? I’m ok with them. The last time I did Pyramid lower body I mixed up the order of the exercises and did squats first, then lunges, then leg press. For the leg presses, I went through the series twice. The first time, I did all the reps on one leg. In other words, when they switched legs, I didn’t. Then, all the way through for the other leg. My legs were pretty tired going in, but they were noodles by the time I was done.
Linda - Sorry you’re still sick. GI stuff can take a lot out of you . When DS was about two, a sparrow lived with us for awhile. It had either broken or sprained its wing. Probably not too sanitary but it lived in one of our plants and hopped around on a windowsill. It staked out a relatively small space that was easy to keep clean. When it healed up and started flying around the house/roosting in the ceiling fan, we set it free. It was a pretty amazing thing. DS vaguely remembers it. So often when you try to rescue the little guys they still die. Got me thinking though. If Debbie and Diane Sue can’t find the number you need, when I lived in Denver they actually had bird rescue resources. It’s a bigger city. Out of curiosity I just checked and they still do. I bet they would in your area or somewhere near you. Like Diane Sue said, if you go on line and type in a location, then “bird rescue” there should be links. If not and you get desperate, you could contact this one and they could likely point you in the right direction:
http://www.wildbirdrehab.com/Wild_B.I.R.D./Home.html Looked like they had a link where you could download info on how to care for a found bird. HTH
Debbie - Your kitchen sounds beautiful. I'm pretty sure I've only done MIS once. Not sure why that is ... maybe I got distracted by Power Hour (Aren't they on the same DVD?). Glad you had a great workout. I'll be digging that one out.
Theresa - Holy cow, girl, "Whew" is right! That looks like a really good mix of exercises, though. Take THAT, movie popcorn
!
Cheryl - Long days like that can be draining, especially if they cut into sleep. Hope you find some time to rest. Cardio Fusion is fun - but some of those intervals/drills are tough. Quite something to tackle if you were sore going into it. Way to go
. Hope your conference goes smoothly. Actually, I 'm glad to hear you aren't going to try and get up Thursday morning to still workout
!!! Your schedule is over the top sometimes, huh?
I don't know what I'm doing today yet. Cardio today of some kind. Pyramid Lower Body tomorrow.
Hi to Hermia and Lora and Roselyn and Char!
Have a good morning.
