Hardcore Check in Sunday November 30

This morning I did Tracey's Yoga Solutions w/up and post upper weight work segment. There was a lot of balancing in the first half of this segment. There was an awfully long pause between the standing and seated portion. At first I thought maybe I was going to have to forward the dvd myself. There was some nice upperbody stretches in it. These premixes don't flow real well as they skip to a new move. Not that it matters all that much. I will have to try it as is sometime. Todays premix was 20 minutes and the w/up was 2.5

Morning :D

I just finished CC#8 ;) boy did I struggle, still weak. I stayed in the bed all day yesterday and slept still not feeling good. I'll check back later, need to caught up to see what you all been up too.

Good morning everyone!

I'm back from my weekend with my friends. I had a blast! It was so great to get caught up. My friend Chris said she couldn't believe they pass right by our house all the time on their way to their weekend home and didn't even know it. How odd that we are both from LA (born in the same hospital), grew up in the same city, went to the same high school and now we're both out here. I put pics on my Picturetrail album in Torrington Beach. She said that since they can't have a beach house they decorated that one with a beach theme - on the plains in Wyoming. It's funny b/c Chris, the blonde one (and the one who was in my class), lives by Denver and they are tired of the rat race and they love their Wyoming getaway. It is an hour east of where I live and much more isolated. I would go crazy but they would love to retire there. It was great though and fun for weekends. Her sister, the darker haired one, is the one I was closer with and we have stayed in close touch over the years. She lives in Chicago - right downtown - and the city that we grew up in was even too small for her. And it's not that small at all! Anyway, they are both just awesome and I'm so glad we're friends. Now that we know they are so close, they want DH and I to go out to their place with them. I know he'd enjoy it. Both of their brothers are LA County Sheriff Deputies and that's the department that DH started with and I know he would LOVE to go out there when they are in town. But he did meet Chris and Farouk and liked them very much. We rode ATV's and hiked around even though it was SUPER windy and freezing!

We met Aunt Merle and Uncle Eddie (not a real aunt and uncle). He is missing a lot of teeth. But they were really nice. And Laura Kay and Bill came over for dinner. He's missing even more teeth. But they're really nice too. And we learned a lot about sheep and goats! :p

I gained almost THREE pounds you guys! Chris's husband is from Lebanon and they make the most amazing Lebanese food. We ate and drank wonderful things the whole time. I couldn't stop putting food in my mouth! I have no self-control! I'm getting ready to do a cardio coach - or maybe I'll do Imax 2. I haven't done that one in a long time and I haven't seen Cathe on my new tv yet.

Diane Sue - I wonder why the long pause in that DVD. That's strange.

Teddygirl - I can't believe you did CC8 when you're sick! You're nuts woman. Take it easy!!!

Today is DH's birthday and his dad and his wife and DH's grandparents are coming over for the Bronco game.

I ended up doing Imax 2. DH's dad's wife called while I was doing it and said that DH's dad came home from church and felt like he was coming down with a cold so he didn't feel like coming over! First of all I was angry that DH's dad couldn't make the call himself to wish DH a happy birthday and second of all he "felt like he was coming down with a cold"? Good heavens! She didn't even say that he wished him a happy birthday. She just said, "He'll mail him his card." He's no father of the year by any means but I felt really bad for DH. He had already gone and picked up the 2 pizzas that they make and you bake and he had baked 2 cherry pies (well, him and Sara Lee or whoever she is - yes, he did all the work for his own party!). DH didn't say anything but I just felt really bad. His grandparents still came over and the Broncos won so that's good. And he's happy. He doesn't get down about stuff like that, or at least he doesn't show it.

Suz, it sounds like you had a great time:) That is too bad about your dh's Dad. At least his grandparents came. I think things bother the guys, they just aren't vocal about it like we are. I will have to go check out your picturetrail:)

Diane Sue - I think you're right. DH did say that if his dad was getting sick he didn't want it so maybe it's best! :) He had fun and we sent one of the cherry pies home with his grandparents. They were pretty happy about that! We only had one piece left of the other one b/c I cut the pieces really big and DH had 2. I'm not sure if he'll eat it or not.
