I am getting ready to go do my workout. I want to fit Bosu Explode Fuse in along with some of Amy's Slo Mo and maybe a little cardio. Lots to do here with storm damage and I still need to go do that grocery shopping and errands I should have done Friday.

Lori, I forgot to mention last night that your dream was pretty funny. I wish I could wake up and laugh at mine LOL I do get some really silly ones once in awhile that seem to be a mish mosh of things that have been happening . Good workout for coming off of feeling poorly. I found with the GI thing (which has improved quite a lot) cardio made me nauseated.

Hermia, it is good to hear that the interview went well. Sounds like you had a full weekend:) At least you got in one good workout.

Today was cardio and on tap was the Step Blast/Step, Jump & Pump Step & Hi/Lo Circuit Premix. It had all three step segments of Step Blast and all four hi/lo segments from SJ&P. It was fun but I really wish Cathe would have added a step segment or two from SJ&P, I think those step segments are more fun then SB's segments. But I had a great workout in between hearing my kitty get a mole in the kitchen. I heard the thing screaming and seen Bear batting it around. It got away somehow but not sure how long it will live.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 3 minutes total
4 minutes below zone
28 minutes in zone
33 minutes above zone
497 calories burned

Almost 500! Happy with this!

Debbie-nothing like the sound of screaming moles to start your day off right :) That is a great calorie burn.

Lori-glad you are feeling better, and LOL about the dream.

No workouts this weekend and I come hanging my head in shame over my eats :( Saturday was the worst by far w/ movie popcorn as my lunch. Sunday I was able to pull it back together, but I did not get breakfast either day, I indulged in adult beverages a bit more than I should have, and my water intake was below par.

However, I went to a new doctor on Friday that is a mix of natural and clinical. He is an M.D. but believes in natural alternatives to some things. He is a big believer in bioidentical hormones. He is 72 and looks like he is in his 40's. He is 110% sure I am hypothyroid (which would explain a multitude of problems) and believes I may be a bit estrogen dominant. He put me on thyroid meds and I will follow up in a month to see what else needs to be done. I cried in his office b/c this is the 1st time I have felt listened too in quite some time. The other docs just kept throwing meds at me w/o checking anything. For the first time in quite some time, I am hopeful. :D

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Debbie - Ewwww......I hate it when my cats get "stuff" like that!! I usually get the pleasure of having carcasses dropped off at my feet or in my bed!! How's the kitchen coming along? Nice workout today - I can't wait to do that one tomorrow. :)

Lori - That dream was TOOOOOOO funny! I'm so glad you are feeling better and took yesterday off. Take it easy on yourself for the next few days, k?

Diane Sue - I can relate to the storm damage. It has been CRAZY weather here recently fluctuating from damaging T-storms with hail to freezing cold and snow. It's crazy. Good luck with the clean up and great work out planned for today!!

Theresa - Keep your chin up!! It was your anniversary this weekend, so cut yourself some slack. However, next weekend we ALL have to be even better!! LOL. I'm glad your doc seems better and hopefully will get some answers for you.

Today was Maximum Intensity Strength - WOW. That workout kicked my a&# this morning. I was still very tired from from all of the busy work this weekend, and was down 1 more lb this morning!!!! Slow and steady I have been dropping lbs., and I am down 12 lbs from New Years and have about 7 or so more to go.........Ok....off to get some work done.

Have a great Monday (if there is such a thing)

Diane Sue - That storm sounded scary. We get hail like that here too, sometimes. It can be pretty devastating. Clean-up is rough. There is something kind of exciting/awe-inspiring about them. You said something to that effect and especially with DS, I noticed he got sort of "thrilled/scared" when he was smaller. But that doesn't really offset the destruction or mess. Hope it isn't too bad for you. I was planning on going through Amy's Slo-Mo (combined with Slow and Heavy) this week again, too. I'm debating that now. It had been awhile since I'd done The Pyramid workouts. They really felt good, so now I'm considering one more week of them before moving on. Enjoy whatever you do today.

Debbie - Holy Mole-y :p !!! (Somebody had to say it). I've never done that premix, but it sounds fun. I did Step Blast way too much last fall and had to put it away for awhile. I'd kind of forgotten about Step Jump and Pump. Anyway, great numbers there :D .

Theresa - Thank goodness you didn't resign yourself to the counsel of those other docs! Wow. I am so HAPPY :D :D :D to hear about your most recent appointment. Good for you for following through and not giving up. There's a lesson there for me. I might have. I dread Dr's appointments just enough that I might have let that get in the way of finding any real solutions. I'd have probably cried, too. Quite the relief to have someone actually HEAR you. Screw the shame, though. You've made a start towards addressing a boatload of stuff and you'retalking about it. I can be really good at shame. Trying to give that up - it's a useless "talent." Only empowers the thing I'm bummed out about, near as I can tell. Just pick up and go from here. There. My unsolicited opinion in the "Take my advice, I'm not using it," format

Hermia - APX is a loooong workout, if I remember right. There's some good stuff in there. I'll keep my finger's crossed for you and your interview. I hope you let us know how it went :D

Cardio today. I was thinking I'd go with Tracey's Cardio Kickbox Challenge. I don't know though. Extremely Ripped 1000 looks pretty tough. That might be good, except I'm still not sure about my stomach. I'll decide a little later.

Have a good morning.

Lori

Cheryl - We must have posted about the same time. :D ^^^5 on your progress. I haven't done MIS but once or twice. Hmmmm. Why do I keep thinking I need more new workouts? Anyway. The dream. Yah. I really don't make a habit of sharing my dream life with ... anyone, but this one seemed so inspired by our ongoing "trauma unit," it almost seemed wrong not to. Hope you have a good Monday, too ;)

My workout is finished. I have decided that I will do a Slo Mo totalbody each of 3 weeks and on the 4th week do Slo Mo Step challenge 2 circuit. Then I will fit all 5 Xplode workouts in along with a little more cardio. Today I did the longest Slo Mo total body premix#3 74 min and burned 296 calories, then I did 10 min solution Hot Body Bootcamp bottom sculpt and Ab assault 20 min 102 calories, I finished with Bosu Explosion Fuse 44 min, 233 calories. No real cardio today. You do get your HR up some with Fuse but not a lot. I added a little extra to it when Keli was talking.
Got to shower and get going on things.

Debbie, I used to do the Step Blast Circuit Premix and add on the SJP step to it. Never really cared that much for the hi/lo workout.

Cheryl, I think it has been a crazy year for weather all over.

Theresa, I am glad you are getting help. My eating wasn't good either. I am sure you will get it under contol though.

Lori, the Pyramids are good workouts. I had considered using the Total Body Mix as one of my workouts because I like how you get to do all of those leg presses:D

Diane Sue - We've had a lot storms here too, some were pretty scary with hail and high winds. Nice workout again! I don't care much for the hi/lo of SJ&P either, but I haven't done it in ages so it was kind of fun to drag that out again.

Theresa - I'm sorry to hear you had a tough weekend with foods. BUT... I am glad to hear you finally found a doctor to listen to you and who seems like will be helping you a great deal. That is awesome!!! Good for you for continuing the search for help. Most people would just get sick of doctors and go on living with whatever problem they have. I did very well with my eating, partly because I had no kitchen and I worked my ass off this weekend. I lived on protein bars, p&B sandwiches and had a veggie burger from BK which was quite good. Sunday dh and I went to Ihop but I was even good there, I had two whole eggs, a side of whole wheat toast and two pancakes. Used very little syrup. I was proud of myself. I even gave dh half the butter they put on the cakes. I was down a pound on Saturday so I'm hoping by this coming Saturday I'll be down at least 1 more.

Cheryl - I'm scared of MIS. Haven't done that one in a long time. Should be interesting to see how I do. I had to laugh at my kitty, he was so funny this morning with that mole.

Lori - I was the same way with SB. I did it so much I got so sick of it and I'm still sick of it. I wish the premixes had the SJ&P step workout in it but I don't think there is a premix with that in it. I've made my own up in the past.

Lori-glad you are feeling better. And your advice is as good as gold. I'm not beating myself up too much b/c I knew this wasn't the best weekend to start. Even when I ate that cake and popcorn, I thought of this forum and I how I was going to have to eat crow :) At least I'm thinking about it. It will get better, I'm too stubborn not to get it down pat. Plus, I'm hoping my energy level will increase here soon and that should make a world of difference.

Cheryl-YAY for you and your weight loss. I do not have MIS, I go back and forth on getting it, but for some reason I never do.

Debbie-YAY for you and your eats. What are you doing to your kitchen? And thanks, I hope things will get better quite soon. I am still relishing in the fact that I am not crazy and there is something physically wrong, and it CAN be fixed :)

I'll try to make a long story short here. My dh and I bought his grandmothers house about 14 years ago. The kitchen has been the same since she lived there if you can believe it. We added on an entire house to the existing house so we haven't had much time or money to worry about the kitchen. I only had one set of cabinets, the sink was white and stained all the time, it was truly a gross kitchen. We gutted it this weekend and started over. I have a nice new floor down, new cabinets, a dishwaster, garbage disposal and a beautiful sink with a granite countertop. I know I'll live in my kitchen when we are all done with it. At least it's started, I can't wait to get it done. I paint the walls today when I get home from work.

Debbie - Wow sounds like you accomplished a lot in one weekend on your kitchen. Sounds awesome!

I have been fighting the stomach issues all weekend since Thursday. Has not been fun at all. I did Muscle Max this morning pretty much just matching Cathe all the way.

Debbie or DianeSue - Do either of you know how I could get in touch with Dallys? My cat got a bluebird this morning and I am now taking care of it and I remember her rehabing a robin.

I think I have her email address but it's at home. If DS doesn't have the info by tomorrow morning I'll send you her email. Sorry you aren't feeling well again, Linda. That sucks!

Linda, I checked my e mails too and I did not find Dallys' e mail. I used to have it. I bet it is somewhere. If I find it I will let you know. Did you check on line how to care for a baby bird. Right now I am not that happy with birds. LOL They keep building unwanted nests on the frame over the front door and in our trailer hitch. Driving me nuts. I put windchimes up and it lasted a couple of weeks Neighbor said putting a snake over the area would work. They are tormenting me LOL Spent time trying to chase them away this morning and knocking down a nest. Hopefully you can figure out what to do with the baby bird.
