Hardcore check in for November 2016

Debbie there are 3 weight workouts. PHA, Giant Sets, and an upper body workout. Bootcamp also has weights but there are 3 weight focused workouts.

I cant wait for the new workouts to come out! It is soooooooooooooooo windy here today! I just had my yard done yesterday by my gardener and it looks like a war zone! Today I did Xtrain disc #3 Chest only. I am very tired today so I thought I would take it easy. I have a varsity football banquet this evening so I didn't want to workout hard and be wiped out for this evening.

Chest Press
25# x 10, x 10, x 12 TF

Chest Flies
20# x 10, x 10, x 12 TF

Incline Chest Press
25# x 10, x 10, x 12 TF

Incline Chest Flies
(This was suppose to be a burnset but I wanted to do flies instead. I cant really do pushups because it hurts my right shoulder and I don't want to irritate it)
20# x 10, x 10, x 11 TF

Debbie, great workout even though you weren't feeling it today!!! I feel like that as well, overwhelmed by the holidays I guess.

Diane Sue, I need to watch the Giant Set clip, very excited!!!

Roselyn, I hope you have a good workout today.

Have a great day!

So today I did a back workout, I am doing a series by Dana Linn Bailey called real purpose so back went like this

Pull Ups 4 sets to failure

Bent Barbell Rows
4 sets of 10 reps 30,35,36,40#

Cable Straight Arm Pulldown 4 sets of 20s

One Arm Rows
15,12,8,to failure 20,21,22, 12#

Close Grip Pulldown 2 sets of 10 and 2 sets to failure

Seated Row 2 sets of 10 and 2 sets to failure

Walked a mile on treadmill and did some ab work

Today I did Pedal Power, 60 minutes, 439 calories, 13.77 miles, 14.2mph (I guess that is average? I have never paid attention to it) The spin bike had me at 504 calories, Map My FItness 521, workout manager over 600 and Fit Bit 306. I used the calorie calculator which was in between and I feel most accurate based on heart rate average and net calories. I then did Barre Amped Advanced Active stretch 28 mi9nutes, 40 calories.

Debbie, nice workout today. It is always odd how the equipment is different most of the time. Although as stated above it was close to Map My Fitness and less than Cathe. It is always odd that Map My Fitness uses the heat rate from the Fit Bit through Bluetooth but comes out with a much different figure. When I put it in My Fitnes Pal though I prefer to go a little lower than it might be just in case I find myself fighting weight gain. You still got some nice calories and steps in today so I think being a gazelle was just fine. Funny, I got in over 5000 steps this morning doing Pedal Power. I wonder how the Fit Bit figured that out?

Jolie, it was that way a couple of days ago. I had just cleaned up leaves so they would quit blowing into the house when we open the door. Also it looks better in front and up the walkway. I cleaned them from under shrubs and everything. Now they are back at least double. Taking it easy on a busy day is a good idea. I try to do that and get a cat nap somewhere during the day when I know I have the little ones over in the evening or family over. I want to enjoy things and being worn out makes it much less fun. Great workout for taking it easy ;) Did you look at the Cardio Slam clip? I think I may be modifying that one on some of the moves.

Roselyn, that is a good sounding workout. It would have been great with the Bowflex if I still had it.

I just watched all the clips of the new workout series. I may actually order the whole thing (except the cycle DVD), it looks pretty good. I need something different and I think this might be the ticket. I worry about the leg workouts, though, I just don't think my knees can take all that. And I won't do the cardio ones either. But I do like the weight training ones. Bootcamp looks cool too, and I love how she shows modifications. So that one may be ok for me to do. Presale ends tomorrow so I will sleep on it tonight and decide on it by morning.

I think I will purchase the new workouts. Why not? Maybe one of these days I can actually do her cardio once again.

Have great workouts everyone!!! Sorry, no time for personals.

Debbie, I was looking over the moves on that workout and when I saw plan kickbacks I thought, no not for me. Then I see you did standing kickbacks. You must not like them in the plank position as much as I do. It stresses my shoulders too much unless I go very light. I don't really see the purpose other than you work the core at the same time.

Today I did ICE Muscle Meltdown Shoulders. I like this workout, it is short but very effective. I like that I get to lift lighter weights but feel a great burn. Instead of doing 3 rounds I did an extra round to make it 4 rounds. Each round is a Giant set with no rest in between sets. After shoulders I walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes up hill, traveled 2.25 miles. Total workout calorie burn was 563!

Overhead Press- 15# DB x 12

Upright Rows- 15# DB x 12

Lateral Raise- 8# DB x 12

Incline Front Raise- 8# DB x 12

Rear Flies- 12# DB x 12

Last night my son Jack won The Lion Award For Offensive Lineman and player of the game for two of the hardest games we played all season. I am very proud of him, and boy he sure looked handsome in his tux!

Debbie, great workout! I love the Xtrain workouts, I don't do the cardio workouts because they are too hard on my knees. I love the fact that the new workouts will have modifications for us aging gals! I ordered the whole set minus the Cycle workout. I cant wait for them to ship!

Diane Sue, nice workout on the bike! I have a spin bike but I am missing a part. The problem is I cant find the information for the manufacturer. I think they went out of business. I need to see how I can get it fixed. It is the piece that makes the resistance on the front wheel. I would like to start doing cycle workouts again. No wind today, a lot of dusting for me in the house today. Yuck!

Roselyn, I love Dana Lynn Bailey! I follow her on facebook. That workout looks great. She really exhausts each muscle group good.

I hope you all have a great day. I need to start decorating my Christmas tree. I have the lights up outside but not too much done in the house. Oh well!

Today I did To The Max warm up, step, and step tabata, 22 minutes, 197 calories. I then did Legs and Glutes from the body blast series. I used Cathe's weights except for ankle weights where I used 5# weights. I have not done this one in years. I can't believe I used to do the Extreme mix all of the time. The one that doubled most of the standing work. This was 51 minutes and calories burned 270. Total time 73 minutes , 467 calories

Jolie, there is a premix on each of the Ice workouts for 4 sets on the Muscle Meltdowns. I have used it and like it. I can do X Train Cardio but I just do not do them a lot because they are pretty intense. All but All Out Low Impact Hiit. I am getting anxious for the new workouts too. I read that all of the clips are up now. My Spin Bike is a Schwinn. It was something that I was not expecting to get but one of the ladies on a facebook check in I am in found them on a special on Amazon for 87 dollars. We all bought one. The same bike now is much more money. I lucked out. I did go buy a gel seat cove that works for bicycles. I usually use the spin bike using the laptop and watch something else on television. Not every time but I know what is coming most of the time so I am not missing anything on the bike. It is not hard on the upper body and no impact so that is a plus. I bet that you are proud of your son Jack. It is amazing to see your children looking all grown up and dressed up like that. It sort of tugs at the heart.

Today I did Cardio Coach 1 and totally was the lion today. I ate that gazelle like nobody's business!! I also did the ab work from Step Jump and Pump (miss doing that workout) and then did the stretch from GS Legs.

Workout was 36 minutes, ran 2.3 miles, burned 234 calories (TM said 334, how weird) and went 4873 steps.

Diane Sue - I do not like that plank/tricep kickback exercise, that is all kinds of trouble for my upper body/neck. Don't need that. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that kind of a pointless exercise. I get you are working both core and triceps, but I like to concentrate on the muscle I'm working and not a combination of muscles. Nice workout yesterday!!

Jolie - I agree, I liked seeing the modifications in the new workouts as well. That is nice for us who have knee problems. I can't believe Cathe isn't feeling pain like we are, what is her secret??

Roselyn - Nice job with your workout on Tuesday!! Hope you are doing well.
