Hardcore check in for November 2016

I did Ice Metabolic Meltdown 45 minutes, 265 calories and followed it with Ice Rock'm Sock'm timesaver 5 gone, 35 minutes, 220 calories. Total time was 80 minutes, 485 calories. I went fairly light on Metabolic Meltdown. Normally I go heavier but not this time. Usually Cathe's weights.
I saw on Kelly Coffey's site that it looks like she is selling the new dvds. I would like to get them. I like the idea of the one being set up in 15 minute workouts that you can put together however you want. I like that the other has heavybag on it.

Debbie, nice work today. :)

Today I did Run Fit with Candace. Haven't done that one since August. Had a decent workout but it was a hard one. I can tell I haven't done it in a while. My knees were bothering me a bit, too, so that made it harder. But I finished it and I feel good now.

Workout was 52 minutes, ran 3.5 miles, burned 350 calories (TM said 468) and went 7097 steps. I used the HR monitor on my TM after one of the intervals where I was really feeling my HR being high. My TM said it was at 156 bpm. I look at my FitBit and it says I'm at 126 bpm. How can something that is on my wrist and feels my HR not get it right? I don't get it.

Oh well, I know I worked hard on this one.

Diane Sue - Nice workout!! Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving?

Jolie - I bought NUUN and have been using it for a week or so. I think it' working! My muscles don't seem as tight or sore anymore. I like it. I don't care much for the taste but if it keeps working, I'll keep drinking it. I usually have it right after my workouts.

Roselyn - How are you things with you?

No workout for me yesterday, my mom arrived and we were busy getting ready for Thanksgiving. I will have a tough time getting workouts in this week because I have my son sleeping in my gym room because my mom is sleeping in his bedroom. My son stays up late on vacation and sleeps in very late in the morning when I should be working out. I will walk as much as I can this week but I am not going to stress over not getting a workout in this week. My dad is arriving tomorrow so I will see how it goes.

Debbie, I am glad you like the Nuun. It works well, especially if you sweat a lot when you workout. You need to replenish electrolytes you loose, otherwise your muscle feel tight and it will actually make your brain feel better as well.

Diane Sue, Nice workout! I am getting my shopping done today and tomorrow I will start my make a head dishes so I am not over whelmed on the actual day.

If I don't check back in tomorrow, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families!

Had a nice weekend away did get a back workout in on Sunday when I got home.

Yesterday was shoulders and abs today was a leg workout and then this afternoon I did a 15 minute max 30.

Last day of work tomorrow!!woo hoo

Today I did Party Rockin Step 2 Premix Extreme 8 combos + finished product, 61 minutes, 435 calories. I then did Ice Muscle Meltdown biceps 15 minutes, 70 calories. I used mostly 15's with a little of the 17.5's and some 12's. This is lower than I generally go on this but I was afraid I would find myself straining through the neck and shoulders so kept it down a bit. I finished with Barre Amped Stretch and Strength Power Stretch, 23 minutes, 61 calories. Total time was 99 minutes, 566 calories.

Debbie, I don't know about all of these devices. My Fit Bit will give me pretty high heart rates at times but my calorie burns will be low. I swear it works best with steady state workouts. I gave myself slightly higher than the Fit Bit was today for the cardio workout. Really the Fit Bit Blaze surprises me at times. I can be 59 starting out and it will go up fast. Sometimes it has me at 172 and I am pretty sure that is not accurate. I think I have only got that high a couple of times and that was doing an Insanity workout one of them. I could not talk I was so out of breath. But, the average seems pretty accurate on the Fit Bit. But if I plug the average my calorie burn is much higher than the Fit Bit. Today though the calories burned was over 500 calories and I did not choose to use that. I just do not think that was right. Cathe's was not that high on the workout manager. Much as I would like to take the highest burns I think I would be in trouble if I relied on them.
Yes, I am working on Thanksgiving. I have been to the store so many times picking up things. I hope I do not have to go back for awhile. I had to move the turkey to the refrigerator in the house because it was not thawing in the garage refrigerator. It was still hard as a rock this morning. I am making a blueberry dessert salad from the Wild Diet Cookbook. I hope the family does not miss so many marshmallows :) I don't mind a few cheat foods but I do not want to be overloaded with them as leftovers.

Jolie, I wouldn't worry that much about the workouts. Just enjoy yourself. You will probably make up for it later. My workout room does not have a bed in it but, when we have guests I would have to walk past them sleeping on the upstairs twin sleeper to get to the workout room. I put a cot in there for the youngest grandchild when he stays over. Not so much room here. We just got a leather sofa sleeper for the living room when my brother and his wife came for a couple of days. Not the best but it is more sleeping space for guests. I will be doing the blueberry salad, deviled eggs, and a Paleo friendly apple pie tomorrow, and a low fat crust free pumpkin pie for the dieters. . I usually pull the giblets out of the turkey and have it ready to put in the oven in the morning. Sometimes I boil them and give them to the dog. I am not sure that I will do that though. I won't eat them. My mother used to chop that stuff up and put it in the stuffing. I am not making the stuffing. One of my children is bringing that.

Roselyn, you are done with work for good? Or for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend? It looks like you are back at the workouts already.

Today I did cardio, treadmill for 65 minutes at a high incline. I burned 625 calories and my max heart rate was 178! I didn't workout out the last two days so I had a lot of energy today. Incline was 7.0 and I walked at a pace of 3.3. It is difficult to walk any faster at that incline and you really do not have to because you get a great calorie burn.

Today I am putting together my stuffing, veggie tray, season turkey breasts and setting my table. Tomorrow I will put the pies in, pumpkin and razzleberry, turkey, rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy and steam the green beans. Most importantly, I will watch all three football games!

Debbie and Diane Sue, great workouts ladies!

Roselyn, I hope you have a great time off of work, enjoy!

I hope all of you have the most wonderful holiday with your families and enjoy this special time of the year!

Today I did Kelly Coffey Cardio Pump Premix cardio lower body 38 minutes, 245 calories. I then did 21 Day Fix Extreme Lower body, 38 minutes, 297 calories. I think that one took a bit longer because I paused to write down each round since I could not quickly find a work sheet or notes. I finished with Barre Amped lower body stretch, 19 minutes, 20 calories. Total time was 95 minutes, 517 calories. I had to make another trip to Sprouts for vanilla!! I would like to have skipped it but I need it. I need to get busy with some preparation for tomorrow.

Debbie, nice work on biceps and triceps today.

Jolie, that was a good treadmill walk. Today I am doing pies and making up the blueberry salad and the green salad. I need to chop veggies as well. Pre prep the turkey as well.

I did get a workout in today, figured I'd better so I won't feel so guilty eating a lot. I did the Back portion of Xtrain Burn Sets and also did the Medicine Ball Ab workout from STS. Had a great workout.

I also walked on a 7% incline on my TM for 2.65 miles. Really worked up a sweat. I think I'm good to go!!!!

Nice workout yesterday, girls!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Yesterday I got up and started the turkey and then did Ripped with Hiit Plyo Hiit 2 with the abs 1, 35 minutes, 250 calories. I did not use the Fit Bit Calories for Plyo Hiit because it gave a ridiculous average heartrate of 113. I know that was not right. I used the low end of all of the other calorie burns including Map My Fitness and my fitness pal. I then did Low Impact Sweat Blizzard Blast 11 minutes, 84 calories. I followed this with Ice Core 2, 14 minutes, 50 Calories. Total time was 60 minutes and calories burned 384.
Today I wanted a good metabolic workout to burn off some of those carbs so I did X Train Super Cuts, 52 minutes (I added a little extra warm up) 299 calories. I followed this with Flex Train premix 3 (no firewalker, disc chest and lunge) Before the stretch I went back to the chapters and did the lunges with the discs and the firewalker segments. At the end I did not do the push ups with the crunch move. I subbed mountain climbers for the push ups. This was 93 minutes, 538 calories. I went back a bit later (waiting for hot water for a shower) and did Suzanne Bowen's Christmas stretch workout that she sent a password to use. This was 32 minutes. I did not count it in my calories.

Debbie, good job on the workout. It looks like you did great. I knew I was going to need something decent. Those big meals don't usually worry me too much unless they continue for days.

Nice work on the Thanksgiving holiday.

Got up today and worked my biceps and did a glute workout.

My son leaves tomorrow already:( but Christmas break right around the corner.

Did anyone order the new dvds? If so when are they coming?

Roselyn, I ordered the new workouts. They have sent the copies to the replicator out the 22nd and I think they are getting the covers done. It shouldn't be too long. I think once they get the preview done of the masters copies done. They start production as long as everything is right. Once production starts it seems it takes two to three weeks average for them to be shipped. I bet it is a little after Christmas. Just guessing though.

On Thanksgiving I walked 3 miles on the treadmill. Friday and Saturday were rest days due to having company stay longer than anticipated. Today I walked 45 minutes on the treadmill uphill, 2.5 miles 450 Calories. Then I did STS #16 Triceps. Total workout I burned 560 calories.

I hope you all had a nice holiday! I am hanging Christmas lights today and I got the Christmas tree up too. I will decorate the tree this week along with decorating around my front door and the rest of the house!

Happy Holidays!

PS I cant wait for the new Cathe Dvds to arrive!

Rest Day today and family time.

Jolie, did you see the first two video clips. They look good.

Today I walked on my treadmill for 40 minutes at 6.5 incline and traveled 2.25 miles. Then I did STS #15 Biceps. I went to failure on each set.

BB Curls-
35# x 17, x 13, x 12, x 12

Seated DB Curls with a twist-
15# x 17, x 15, x 13

Preacher Curl on the ball, 2 arms-
15# x 12, x 10 x 8

Total calorie burn was 542 calories. I like doing cardio and one body part per day. I should have done more bicep work but I ran out of time.

Debbie, nice workout! I need to go back and do those workouts, they are short but to the point!

Diane Sue, I only saw one workout, the PHA. It looks awesome. I cant wait for them to ship! I will go back and see what other one Cathe posted and watch it. I am very excited for some new workouts!

Roselyn, great workouts this week! I am sure you are excited for your son to come back for the Christmas holiday!

Well, its time for me to start some Christmas shopping or I will be up a creek without a paddle!!!!

Cheers!

Today I did X Train cardio legs, 58 minutes, 349 calories. I the did X Train legs barre, ball and chair segments, 27 minutes, 70 calories. Total time was 85 minutes, calories burned 419. I used Cathe's weights today.

Debbie, nice work on X train Chest, back and Shoulders. I did Super Cuts on Friday. It is a fun workout.

Jolie, I am just about done with Christmas shopping. I generally do most of mine online. Of course I do not have children still living at home :) As our family has grown we all draw names for the grandchildren. That gives me two to buy for. For years we drew names for the adults and we all purchased for the grandchildren but when it got to 8 of them we changed how we do it. Sometimes we will get all of the grandchildren some small gift anyway. I would think Cathe will be coming up with some more clips other than the two. I am looking forward to something new as well.

I just saw the clip for Cardio Slam. That one looks like it will be pretty intense. The other two were PHA and Giant sets.

Today I did Cardio Coach 5 and had an ok workout. I certainly wasn't the lion today, I was the gazelle and was eaten by the lion. Oh well, still had a good workout and was sweating like crazy.

Workout was 54 minutes, ran 3.29 miles, burned 350 calories (TM said 481) and went 7009 steps.

I will check out the clips as well, I hear Giant Sets looks like a great workout. How many weight lifting ones are there in the series? I'll have to check it out and see.

Nice workouts, girls!!! Hope you have great ones today!!!
