Hardcord Fitness - August 1, 2008

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Tom Holland's Total Body II workout (compound moves) followed by Kettlebell Express with Sarah Lurie. I also did 10 minute Trainer Abs. Workout was 70" and I burned 452 calories.

I still didn't think this was as good as a workout as the SWAT ones are, but I figured I'd try it.

I think I did too much impact this week....as my previous stress fracture is hurting again. Must try to lower the impact for a while.
 
Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Going to docs this morning for my husband Bobby to find out what the tumor is. Will let you all know later today. Still gonna workout shoulders/abs in the afternoon. I cannot let whatever news comes get me. I still plan on keeping on and staying strong.
 
Thinking about you and Bobby Charlotte. Hoping for the best. But whatever the news, I know you guys are strong enough to beat it!

Lora- that was a good cal burn today. Take it easy on that foot. Does it hurt on the top of your foot?? I had some pain in the top of my foot for awhile about 2 months ago after a long run. Made waitressing real fun! Seems all better now tho thank goodness.

My arms are so sore from ME the other day. Talk about late onset! I swear that ME bis get me every single time. One of my favorites for sure. My BF surprised me with wanting to take me and the boys out for dinner last night, so I didn't have time to do LB. I just did BM2 cardio time saver. Wow, 4 blasts in a row after doing segment one cardio twice. I was a sweatin'!! Real fun tho. I have to go directly to my other job tonight, covering a shift for someone, and I could use the extra cash. I hope that I am really busy waitressing so I can burn some cals running around! Don't think I will get any other WO in today unless it is about 11pm tonight! Might be a bit tired by then lol. But I have lots of time tomorrow to get a real killer one in. Boot camp, then def adding on LB and more abs. I like that WO cuz every little segment is only 1 min. I can do anything for a minute!!! lol

Morning,

Yesterday, when I got home I went for a walk 2 hours and 15 minutes. Took hot bubble bath and in the bed watching 'So You Think You Can Dance' Love that show:rolleyes:

This morning, I did Imax 2 took my breathe away:eek:

Hey Maniacs! Todays plan is to go on a mountain bike ride with dh and his friend after work. We'll be going on the long ride up in the canyon. I haven't done that one for a few weeks so I'm sure it will kill me and I'm already building up some anxiety about it. lol.

Lora- Funny how workouts affect us differently. I can get my hr up so high so fast with the 10 min. trainer cardio workout. It really makes me sweat in a such a short time.

Toasty- I'm also praying for the best for you and dh. (pm'ing you)

Teddy- your yesterday workout sounds so relaxing, including the bath and sitting in bed watching tv! Love days when I can do that.

Meg- Great job on the workout girl!

Debbie- it is fun seeing you do a Cathe workout. Isn't it funny how she manages to kick butt... so sneaky?

I got to sleep in so I'm feeling pretty good today. Legs felt like lead, though. I think I'm needing a break. Had a pretty good workout, though.

I did one of my Cardio Coach mixes and sweated like crazy. It's suppose to cool off here but I don't see it.

Cardio stats:
48 minutes
42 minutes in zone
306 calories burned
3.4 miles travelled


Got lots to do today so I won't be around. Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend!

Dallys - Yes, Cathe can still kick my butt. But I'm not sore from yesterdays workout which kind of bums me out. I can't wait for tomorrow, though!

Linda - I sure hope you feel better soon. That just sucks!

Meg - Cool on being sore after ME. I've been thinking about getting those out next week. Not sure yet.

Lora - Nice workout! How is the food thing going at your work?

Dallys: It really was relaxing, had my IPod listening to some cool music, singing and walking and sweating like a pig, sun was still beaming when I started :eek: Your workout today sounds great, wish I had a bike. Enjoy!:p

Debbie: Glad I could put a smile on that pretty face of yours:D You are doing KPC tomorrow, right? Have fun with it:cool:

Hey Teddy!! You bored? LOL! Remember when I told you guys about the baby Robin my dh rescued? Well, he's getting pretty big now and he's flappin' his wings and pruning his feathers and stuff! I bet we can let him go in a week or so. Not sure how we are going to prepare him for the wild though. Thinking of putting worms in some dirt in a big box and see if he can figure it out. He's not quite ready for that yet. Any suggestions are most welcome.

I'm starving and thinking of french fries! Help me!

You will definitely burn calories waitressing, Meg! I remember when I used to do that...continual motion! Developed a bladder of steel too, cuz sometimes a bathroom break just is not an option!

Yesterday when I was doing the squat thrusts in the warm up from 4DS Bis/Tris, I felt those in my abs. Is that wierd? When I would hop back to the push up position is when I felt it...it just didn't seem to me like that move should get your abs. Maybe I need more ab work. Will get to my workout in an hour or two. No teaching today.
 
It has been a busy week here. Lots going on. I am leaving for my Dad's later next week for a few days. Then school starts:eek:

Dallys: Yep! I'm so freaking board, I tell ya. I’d try to prepare him as bests as I could, give him worms and see what he do, I bet he eat them lol. Could you guys keep him for another month? :D
 
Teddy, dh says he'll keep him til he's completely ready to go.:) He's getting stinky and poops alot and worms are getting expensive! dh says he'll be a $50 bird before it's all said and done. He'll probably go out and get killed by a cat first day.:eek:

Hermia- I think it's normal to feel your abs working during squat thrusts. Some of the workouts that I've done from books use them as an ab exercise.

Diane Sue- Summer is winding up now that you mention school starting soon!
 
Meals for today:

M1: BSN shake
M2: flax cereal w/1c ff organic milk
M3: turkey burger whole grain english muffin, colby cheese, mustard
M4: peach
M5: chicken romaine, carrots, croutons, red & green peppers
M6: albacore tuna w/broccoli & tomato

That's it:p Today was good day as far as eatery goes. I'm about to leave and pick up my client, talk to you girls later:eek:
 
Thanks, Dallys...I think those are a good exercise. I wish I could do them a bit better. They remind me of the hip thrust ab exercise. I feel like I should be able to do that one better, but it really gets me.

Today I did the standing part of Butts and Guts with a break in the middle to do the calves and core from 4DS.
 
Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes. Turns out hubby is more then likely cancer free now. Test came back to show he did have non carcinoma (I believe I spelled that correctly) although he did have the lesser of the two evils of cancer..forget the name of the other. He will have the scans done just to be certain, but the cord that was cut near the testes came out normal..no signs of cancer there so doctor believes that the cancer has not spread then. He is healing well and looking just as sexy as ever. We went to the bookstore afterwards and bought alot of inspiring books to read. He doesn't want to drink soda anymore and has plans to change his diet around more. So anyhow, he will have radiation treatments to make sure there is nothing microscopic in the lymph nodes that will not show up on the scans.

Thanks again for all your prayers and concerns. You all are the best.

O.k...now onto my workout..

I did work my shoulders when we got home. I guess I will do abs tomorrow

Overhead Presses 25# db's 3/8
Arnold Presses 20# db's 3/10 (lighter cuz of shoulder/neck issue)
Lat Raises 15# db's 3/8
