Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for week of July 16

So I'm starting my rotation today. I did a premix of Cathe's Yoga Relax and really liked it. It was about 20 minutes long. Felt good but some of the poses were held too long for me. I know I need practice. I feel pretty good right now and plan on going on with my rotation but being very careful.

I liked this yoga workout and plan on getting the more vigorous one by Cathe as well. I'll probably order that sometime this week.

Today I did P90X2 PAP Lower 61 min.,315 calories. I followed this with P90X2 Yoga 66 min, 239 calories. This yoga is pretty vigorous with balances, and moves pretty quickly till you get near the end. I missed the yoga last week so was definitely needing it. I will try to do more yoga on Thursday like it is set in the rotation but probably not the same one. I didn't add extra weight work today. My knees were achey all day yesterday and I hated having to climb the stairs. So, I will see if I still feel the same Friday when I do PAP Lower again.

Debbie, Cathe does hold the posts longer. She does this in Yoga Max as well. Both are good.

Roselyn, nice choices.

Today I did To The Max extreme does anyone know how many calories burned in this workout? I need to get a new heart rate monitor. I really worked so I was just wondering.

Today I got on my treadmill and walked 1.5 miles. My goal this week is to just get moving again. I was planning on doing Muscle Max tomorrow but I think I'm gonna wait a little longer before I lift again. I still have about a 0-2 discomfort in my shoulder blade so I don't want to rush it. Next week we are on vacation so I'm not even sure how many workouts I'll be getting in. So I figure one more week of recovery won't hurt me. I'd rather made sure this thing won't come back when I start lifting again.

After my walk I did Yoga Stretch and feel pretty good right now. Still a consistent pull in my shoulder blade area. Really weird. I wish it would just go away.

Roselyn - I'm sure you burned tons. I don't have that workout so I can't help, but I would guess at least 450-500.

This morning I did P90X2 PAP Upper 51 min 215 calories. I then did Crossfire slide and glide tabata followed by the core upper focus then slide and glide tabata again, 16 min, 102 calories. Waiting on workers to come.

Roselyn I did Crossfire Extreme and it came to 601 calories using my HR monitor that gives a little lower readings.

Debbie, that is probably a good call on Muscle Max. For me even lifting a bar overhead for lower body can work the upper somewhat. At first I was thinking you could do the lower body only mix.

Today I was suppose to do Muscle Max but like I said yesterday, I changed my mind. I decided to do the entire workout of Yoga Relax by Cathe and I loved it. Doing these workouts really makes me aware of how tight my body is. I've been doing stretching for a few weeks now and my body is still really tight. I can only do the basic movements of yoga right now, I remember when I use to be able to do all the advanced movements with steady flow and no problems. I hope I can get back to that, sometimes I feel my muscles will just always be this way.

I'm going to order Cathe's Yoga Max today. That one is more advanced but I'm hoping to progress to that in a few weeks.

If it doesn't rain (which I hope it does because we need it badly) I will go up to the park on my motorcycle and walk the trails. DH bought me a stun gun so I can go without being afraid of getting attacked. You just never know anymore. I hope I can go.

Diane Sue - Yes, she does hold the poses longer which is good. My muscles can't take that, yet, though. I'm hoping soon I can hold them longer. I can't believe how hard this is for me right now. Probably the route of all my pain, you know?

Roselyn - Have fun Roselyn!!

This morning I started with Rapid FIre Results Metabolic Burn premix, 35 min, 226 calories. I then did the Addiction Heavybag workout disc 1, 56 min with the 90 sec break and stretch 418 calories max hr 156. I usually like to do this after another shorter workout because there is no warm up. I think Disc 1 is the easiest. It may be me though. I don't know if the progress or not. There are breaks of tricep dips and on left side out she does mountain climbers and right side out she does jacks with a burpee. This one seems more upper work. Some have a lot of leg stuff that has my legs burning. I finished off with Les Mills Flow 20 min 60 calories. Total time spent was 1 hr 51 min and calories burned 704.

Roselyn, enjoy your mini vacation:D

Debbie, it takes awhile to get looser. I still have a hard time staying in downdog for long periods. I can do it and am getting better though.I think I have gained some extra flexibility with P90X2. Tony spends a lot of time on the w/ups which use a foam roller, joint mobility, yoga based stuff, and he adds in neuro-integrated Stretching using the ball and the band. These have helped a lot.

Morning:D

This morning, I kick started my workout with a 20 minute jog and 4DS back & biceps;) Guys, I swear it felted so good. I have been trying for months to GET UP at 4am; always dam tired:eek:. I knew if I could get up once then I can from here on. Its been a battle!

I got a chance to view Cross Fire last night, ooh we, one tough workout, but for some reason To The Max would not play on my lap top. Glad to finally be back.

This morning I did To the Max Extreme mix, 63 min, 515 calories, max hr 169. I then did Cathe's Yoga Max Express workout #1 32:34 min, 120 calories. Total time was 95 min and calories burned 635.

Teddy, good to see that you are back at it.

Diana: OMG.......I did not know there was a to The Max Etreme, gee! I must check that one out, right now lol. Nice workout:)

Morning:D

This morning, I did Legs & Glutes:rolleyes: got the chances to view To The Max last night, I love love love this workout. I tell ya, the lovely Ms. Cede I could not keep my eyes off her, she was working it.

Wasn't able to ride to the park or walk that day. It was so hot and humid, it's not even fun riding when it's that damn hot out. We look forward to summer all winter and then we get this crap. I feel like it's winter because all I've been doing is staying in where there is A/C. Very annoying.

Anyways, yesterday I got on my treadmill and did a fast walk on a 4% incline for 40 minutes. Then I did the band stretch from Stretch Max.

I had a knot in my shoulder blade again yesterday. Not sure why this just won't heal and go away. Very frustrating. At least it isn't painful, I only feel it when I press on it.

Today I think I'll take a day off. Tomorrow I will do yoga or stretch.

Hope you all have a great Friday!

Today I did both P90X2 PAP Lower and PAP upper. We have to travel to the other house and do some things and hopefully close soon. Mostly tiny things like screwing the plugs down, air filter(there are some sitting in the garage) But it is worth the trip to save right? I wanted to be sure I was not rushed through the upper workout in the morrning. Who knows, I may take two days off:) I did leave a few of the warm up moves that were repetitive like inchworm and worlds greatest stretch out since I had already done them. I did the upper foam roller, burpee salutation, scorpian and the warm up upper moves like plange push up, band pull apart, and atlus with the stability ball. Total time was 1 hr 49 min, and calories burned was 602. I lightened up on the pushup renegade rows because I can never get 10 reps in because they go so fast. I have been using 15's and lowered to 12's. It was either less reps or lower the weight. One more week then a break of whatever I have time for since I will have a busy week and be gone 3 days with DH. So when I come back I will start The Body Beast workouts and do the lean Beast program. I could not skip cardio. Maybe a little but not that much.

Debbie, we have not went out on the Harley but maybe two times sinc DH came home from Afghanistan. It is either rainy season, too cold, and now too hot. It would be miserable.

Teddy, yes that premix is a really good one on To The Max. I am going through the premixes. There is a great extreme on on Cross Fire too.

Debbie: Still nice workout:) Tuesday was super duper hot. My son came home around 7ish and said mom let's ride; mind you he has a big a$$ Harley and me a GemStar scooter, which only goes 80mph, I told my son I want to upgrade next year, LOL. Anywho, we rode downtown and on the west side, it was great, we rode for a few hours and man oh man it was hot we caught a hot breeze:cool:

Diane: Girl....your workouts are unbelievable, ^^^5. To The Max is da-bomb (I like better then Cross Fire);) It is on my schedule for next week, yesterday, I ordered Cathe's Firewalker bands, didn't want to I tried looking for some at Walmart's, but they only had the 10" band. I plan on viewing 2 of the premixes over the weekend. What is The Body Beast workouts?

Did Yoga Stretch today and I feel pretty good. Me and my dh are planning a motorcycle ride today so that should be fun. Perfect weather for it finally - 81 and no humidity. Tomorrow it's suppose to be back in the 90's though.

Diane Sue - I know what you mean. We look forward to summer all winter and now we still can't ride, although we are today!

TeddyGirl - I forgot to congratulate you on your scooter! How cool! I'm sure you are having a blast zipping through the city with it. Today is a perfect day to ride here in Northeast Ohio!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Debbie enjoy your ride

Teddy check at Total Fitness beachbody area. They have a complete rundown of the workouts.
