Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Wed Sept 14

Today I really wanted to get a great workout in but my body told me different.

I had every intention of running 5.0 mph for a quarter mile and then take a 1:30 rest and I was going to do that 8 times but nope, after the first 5.0 mph run I knew I couldn't do it.

It's ok, though, I did what I could. I ended up doing 5 intervals of 3 minute jogs from speeds varying 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0. I took 1:30 rest in between. I was sweating up a storm but really wish I could have done more.

I didn't sleep well last night, I woke up at 3 to go to the bathroom and then could not fall back to sleep. This doesn't happen to me too often and I'm thankful for that. I hate when I can't get back to sleep.

Also, Monday I twisted the same ankle I twisted last year at my moms. We cut her grass and she gave me a box of food (she made spaghetti with her famous sauce) and as I was carrying it down her back porch steps my foot landed sideways at the bottom of the landing, she has a flat piece of stone at the bottom and my foot caught it at the side and down I went. It stung for a minute but then I felt fine. When I stated my run at 5.0 mph this morning I felt my ankle so I didn't think it would be a good idea to continue at that speed.

At least I did something.

Hi everyone! I hope things have been going well for you all. I've been working out just not posting for a while. My full semester has started up with my array of schools and commuting so I've been adjusting to that. I've got some rather long days. I've been getting in five workouts a week, generally two yoga, one pilates-esque (these at the studio I go to) and then two Cathes at home. I'd like to do a sixth but I don't think I'll be able to manage it with all the working/driving.
Yesterday was Circuit Blast.
 
This morning I did Tracey's Bootcamp workout # 1 bootcamp only with the w/up, 27 min, 219 calories, max hr 156. I then did STS Lower Body only premix, 24 min, 195 calories. I finished with Tracey's core blast bosu segment, 5 min 31 calories. I intended on coming back from taking to school and doing more abs and stretching but never got a chance. 445 calories, 56 minutes.
Bootcamp strength one bootcamp only was 4 rounds of 30/15 work/rest:
Kettlebells swings (35#), high pull (14 kg# 31lb), dumbbell squat thrust with overhead press 12# dumbbells, dumbbell front/back lunge 15# dumbbells, push up w/ toe touch, bridge shoulder press 12# dumbbell
STS Total Body lower was 1 triset 16 reps and 1 triset 12 reps

Debbie, I twisted my ankle in the TRX the other day. It is better today but yesterday when I got out of bed it hurt. It looks like you still got in a good workout.

Hermia, good to see you check in. I am glad to hear you are still doing will getting the workouts in.

Diane Sue, is that from Tracey's latest workouts? I wanted them but it was around the same time I'd preordered Cathe's and I didn't want to overdo my spending. Are they pretty good?
