Good morning -
Roselyn - Excellent cardio today
Debbie - You DID have an excellent workout

Just had a few thoughts last night about your adductor. They may be way off, so I'm mentioning them with that qualification (glad Theresa found that link and thought her input was right on, as ever). If the tightness is due to a slight strength imbalance (as was suggested in some of the reading I did), a good sport's medicine professional might (if I understand) be able to show you some release points you can work with and also suggest some corrective strategies. Your legs are strong and most everyone has a dominant side. So, I wonder if your adductor is compensating for some imbalance by tightening up and acting as a stabilizer. This of course doesn't work so well with a muscle you are needing for dynamic movement. Since the discomfort only occurs in running on your treadmill, it could be that particular repetitive motion where the strength imbalance is most noteable (gets agitated). The article I found sited femoral external rotation as an aggravating factor (which is why I asked if you have a turn out when you run). All these things combined might be why it surfaces in a particular movement pattern, but doesn't bother you other times. I think I recall you also mentioned (in the past) problems with hammies at one point? That was another symptom they mentioned and I imagine it could have shifted to the compensatory responce you feel now in your adductor. Could even account for some of your other mysterious aches and things. A domino effect. When one thing is off (even just slightly) it can throw other unlikely muscle groups out of whack. That's exactly what DS is experiencing with his knees. He wears patellar bands, and they do alleviate the pain he feels there, but it shifts up into his upper thigh (groin) region and gets very tight -- also his back sometimes. I wish the article I'd found had more info on release points, etc., but it sounded like a few relatively simple things could be profoundly helpful. I don't know if you're in a position to check into this with a doc or sport's medicine professional ... or physical therapist (not even sure what the best route would be in choosing a specialist), but agree with Theresa. You might find an important (and straight forward) solution/answer. I apologize for going on about this and I'm not sure I explained it worth a hoot, but it was driving me nuts last night. If I had something like this going on, I'd be extremely frustrated and bummed. The article Theresa found and also this handful of thoughts at least made a certain amount of sense and offered a possible solution to this "mystery" you've been putting up with (for a heroic amount of time).
Diane Sue - You've had a couple rough morning's time-wise. Excellent workouts, though

Hope you aren't too tired.
Teddy - Was it windy there? It was horrible here yesterday (think Debbie said the same). Nice workout this this morning. I really like GS. Your yard seems to give you a lot of interesting bonus burns
Theresa - I really like that workout. Ouch with already sore legs. Hope your appointment goes well
Yesterday, I did a 45 minute Tae Bo.. One of the older (and better) one's. Decent, moderate steady state and it was pretty fun. Also used CTX shoulder workout, modifying by upping the weights quite a bit and taking slightly longer rests, plus some unilateral moves and rotator cuff work. Last night I did a Budokon. That was great. Almost backed out of it, but very glad I pressed on. Getting much more comfortable with these workouts and don't feel so much like I'm still learning the moves. Felt a nice flow to it. Today, I was going to do a leg workout. Think I may bump that to tomorrow and do Insanity's Power and Resistance, as well as some more work with the foam roller. Still unsure about that.
Anyway, hi to everyone that follows. Have a good day.
