HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR WED NOV 24

I did the new lower body blast this morning, I liked it, there was standing and floor work with some cardio lower body blasts and then there is a bonus workout using the tower bar, it is different from coming off STS mesocycles but it is good to change and shock the muscles, let me know if anyone else does this and your reviews, going to have some oatmeal pancakes, go to work for a little bit and then come home, take my dog to get groomed and start cooking some stuff to get ready for tomorrow.

Yesterday I did MMA Kickbox, it was just right for my tired muscles :D I have NO idea what I am going to do today.....

We won't have thanksgiving until Saturday b/c my husband has to work, so the rest of my family is going to see Harry Potter tomorrow.....:eek: I am so excited :D

Cheryl-sorry I didn't get back yesterday, I hope your internet is working soon....that would annoy me terribly :confused: Did you ever get any traction on those floors :eek: The PT thing is different than I expected. I will get the NASM study guide in January and start plugging away. As of now, I am cleared to teach TRX and kettlebell classes when they get it rolling at the gym :D I'm glad I started using my friends as guinea pigs now :D

Today was another superset workout. I worked Bi's and Tri's and had a great workout. Love this rotation.

1 minute rest between warmup sets.

WARMUP:
EZ Barbell Curl - 30#/12 reps - 2 sets
ss w/
Close Grip Bench Press - 55#/12 reps - 2 sets

1 min. 30 second rest between supersets.

BI's/TRI's
SS #1
EZ Barbell Curl - 45#/8 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
Close Grip Bench Press - 75#/8 reps - 3 sets
***My left elbow has been bugging me. After my warmup sets it was ok, but I have no clue what I did.

SS #2
Pinwheels - 15's/10 reps - 1 set
Pinwheels - 17's/10 reps - 2 sets
ss w/
Decline Dumbbell Extensions - 17's/10 reps - 3 sets
***First set of pinwheels were too light so I moved up to 17's with sets 2 and 3.

SS #3
Hammer Curls - 17's/12 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
Double-Arm Kickbacks - 10's/12 reps - 3 sets
***Really felt this. Arms were fried!

Then I got on my treadmill and did a fast paced walk at 3 mph with an incline of 4% and stayed on it for 20 minutes. Wore my HRM just for the heck of it and burned 169 calories in 20 minutes.
 
Good morning -

Missed checking in yesterday - not sure how that happened. I did week 3 STS legs (trisets) and a Baptiste yoga that was a little less than an hour. It's cold and icey here - twisted my ankle just a little in a saved fall. I think it's fine but feels a tiny bit cranky this morning. I'll see how it's doing later this morning. I had Insanity scheduled, but may have to put that off a day and do chest and ... something else [?] today.

Cheryl - I laughed and laughed picturing Skyler as an Iditerod (don't know how to spell it either :confused: meant to look it up) Beagle. DS and I were watching the Grinch (last year maybe?) and his dog (personality or something) reminds us very much of Skyler -- especially the scene where he ties it to the sled and makes it wear the antlers. You may be on to something. I'll bet the snow shoeing was fun. My feet are nearly big enough that I don't quite need them :p . Thank you for mulling over solutions to my winter funk. Should you ever run across a headline concerning a Beagle and a woman (with big feet) sledding through the Arctic netherworlds ... you can at least suspect that you were the inspiration for such a newsworthy and heroically strange event ;) .

Roselyn - Thanks for your review/comments on the new Cathe workout :). Mine come next week (yay).

Debbie - Glad you're enjoying this rotation. Unless I missed something, every workout has been great so far. What are pinwheels? I thought and thought about your song question the other day and came up with ... nuttin :confused: Did you ever figure out the title/artist?

Theresa - No proper Thanksgiving for me tomorrow, either. DS will be with his dad and half sister. He rarely gets to see her, so that will be really good for him. Sometimes MMA Kickbox is just the right thing. If my ankle still feels moody, maybe I'll try that one today. Would like to hear what you think of the new Harry Potter, too.

That's so cool the new workouts are coming in...I'm not sure when mine will be in. I'll have to look at that shipping notice. I ordered at pretty much the end of the presale, though, so I'm sure not as soon as others.

Theresa, yes, do share what you think of Harry Potter! I haven't seen it yet, although Mark has. As long as I've waited this long, I thought I might wait a little longer till all the thirteen year olds burn through their allowance money. I'm not sure if this is a screaming thirteen year old girl movie, but I wouldn't have thought The Lakehouse would have been, but it was.

Lori, sorry to hear about your ankle. I have a little wound too, from stubbing my toe on the side of the bed. Lol, sounds so silly, but I really hit it good. It's bruised and has been hurting a bit, but not too bad.

Yesterday's workout was the total body sculpt premix from LIC, although I changed a couple exercises to help me baby my toe. I haven't worked out yet today...have to work for a bit first.
 
...alas, my new workouts won't be here till the 30th. Oh well, at least my toe should be fine by then, I imagine. =)
 
Roselyn - Interesting on the Lower Body Blast. I had no idea it had some cardio in it. I'll be doing that one when I do more of an endurance rotation which will be close to spring. Looking forward to it!

only I take it up higher and do a twist at the top of the movement. They really work the biceps well along with the forearms. Yes I did figure out the song - it's called Crusin' by Michael Nesmith. Can't find it to download, though. :(

Hermia - I never got a shipping notice for my order. I received my DVD's on Monday. Hopefully you'll get them soon! Oh, just read that you will get yours on the 30th. :( Hope your toe is ok.

Hermia-The Lakehouse was teeny???? Really? Huh...Sorry to hear about the toe, that can hurt quite a bit (I did it last month and I swear I broke it, it was bruised BAD). Good job with your workout despite that little setback

Lori-Icy? Stupid winter weather, and sorry to hear about your ankle.....keep it happy if you can (the ankle, that is). Hope you have a good workout whatever you choose.
 
Theresa, yeah, there was this contingent of thirteen-ish year old girls...I think they came specifically for Keanu Reeves because they would giggle and twitter when he came on. Annoying.

I was gonna go to yoga, but I ended up just doing some yoga at home for half an hour.
