Wow, it's June already! Yay!!!

Today was cardio and I decided to do one of the workouts programmed in my treadmill.

I chose the 400 calorie burner one. All flat running. Went from 2.8 to 8.5 mph. I have never ran any faster then 7.0 mph. Within the first 5 minutes that thing shot up to 8.3 mph.

I was dying. I couldn't run that fast and kept bringing the speed down. I was shocked at how winded I was.

But... I feel great! I did the entire workout, but mostly at my own speeds. It changed speeds every minute. No inclines with this workout.

Then I did my favorite Oxygen Abs workout. I had major energy this a.m.

CARDIO STATS:
45 minutes total
3 minutes below zone
7 minutes in zone
35 minutes above zone
386 calories burned (not quite the 400)
2.5 miles travelled

DD and I walked 4 miles to go see Lion Lion King here in Vegas last night. I was impressed with the show. It was my Mothers Day present :D We ate at Wolfgang Pucks last night before the show had a Bellini and will not post eats:D
Today I did my own workout using a timer from Self Magazine for cardio 20 sec on 10 rest, squat jumps, butt kickers, lunge jumps, speed skaters, high knees and jump rope w/o jump rope. I followed with some Firewalkers, rear kicks(broke my loop band) , some martial arts kick through moves from Brett Hoebel also from Self, a few Ab moves, tubing lunges. This took 19 min and was 136 calories, max HR 150

Debbie, I would have a hard time with over 8 mph if it was very long. Nice calorie burn for that amount of time. Good for you sticking with it.

Roselyn, I love those lower body blastb cardio segments :D

What a great Mom's day prezzie, Diane Sue! Sounds like so much fun. =)

I'm getting back into workouts now but I had to take a few days off last week due to majorly tweaking my back...well, maybe it wasn't that major since I only had to take three days off, but it sure hurt like heck and I felt semi-crippled.

Anyway, Monday I took it easy since that was the first workout back. I did Amy's Cardio Pump Step and was tentative with a couple of the exercises (lower weight, a few less reps).

Tuesday was Bar Works class...a bit sore from that today.

Today was Tracey Staehle's Strictly Upper Body.
