Hey Ladies-
Yesterday I did STS total body-compound only no abs timesaver premix. It was just the right amount of workout for me and considerably light on the shoulder work. I went VERY light on the chest and shoulder exercises, and I can safely say it's not bothering today (well not MORE than it does at the current moment). I did some foam roller work to warm up and I will do some more today. I am going to try and roll out at least one area per day and try to get and keep this body happy :)

Debbie-I haven't seen Char post much on FB this week, maybe she is just busy. However, I have been wondering about Linda, have you heard from her?

I am off to get my hair done, I will be back to chat later.

Great workouts Roselyn and Diane Sue :)

Roselyn- Good choices for legs and abs this morning :)

Debbie - Nice job this morning. Can see why your biceps were fried. Also, I saw your question about my leg. It's just a little muscle lateral to my hip flexor. Pretty sure I know what/how I ticked it off and I believe it has mostly forgiven me. Even so, I'm staying away from deep or high hip flexion until I'm sure it's 100 percent and we aren't there yet  That means no leg training or Insanity or step ... or kickboxing or ... Budokon or .... :( ... :( I'm a little limited but can still use my bike and elliptical trainer and do upper body work -- and lots of stretching. I bought it some Epsom Salts (my leg) and I am trying to be very nice to it. Hoping to be back to the regularly scheduled program by next week. Thank you for asking :)

Theresa - Very glad the workout went well and nothing got worse :) What did you think of it (STS Total Body)? Did you like it? Are you getting something new done (to your hair) or just a trim? I always feel ... better after getting something done to my hair (except for that one time the hairdresser made me promise not to cry before she let me look in the mirror ) Either way, hope you enjoy your day :)

Diane Sue - Great mix this morning. I like all those workouts. Last night, I was wondering if swings would trouble my leg -- may try a couple just to see. Anyway, your workout looked very good. How are you adjusting to the (much  ) earlier schedule?

Yesterday, I did a Slow and Heavy/Slo Mo (Amy) mix for chest and a lot of stretching -- and that was all. My workouts have been very abbreviated the past few days. I am not liking it but just want my leg back in full capacity as quickly as possible so I'm focusing on that. Today I will probably do intervals on my elliptical and more upper body work. I really do/can get a very good cardio workout on that thing, it just seems I mostly only use it if I'm injured. That's how I got burned out on it and it has a negative association I need to get past. Just a tiny twinge in a very specific range now (my leg), so I'm hopeful. Tried to get in yoga workout the other night but got interrupted (DS). I will try again tonight.

Hope you all have a good day -

Lori

I came home from taking the girls to school and did Jackie Warner's crunchless abs standing segment with 8lb dumbbells 16 min, 100 calories. I then did Budokon accelerated 30 min workout stopping after the yoga, 18 min 64 calories. It is funny that I came home and burned better calories and had a better HR for time spent than I did on my earlier workout. Eventually my body will adjust to the early hours again. I am hoping my new Budokon Flow and Flexibility comes today.

Lori, I liked the mix I put together today. The cardio had quite a bit of lower body in it too, so I felt I got a decent workout. I am hoping to get in some heavy bag work tomorrow with the upper body and maybe some shadowboxing. You are still getting in some good workouts while the leg mends. I have a bike but it is in the shed. No place to put it and I always found myself terribly bored on it.

Debbie, nice workout. I like doing the incline curls. They seem like an effective way of training biceps. I wondered where Charlotte went to as well. I was looking forward to her check ins again.

Roselyn, I really like lower body blast. I like the cardio mixed in makes me feel like I really got a workout. Nice workout:)

Theresa, I am glad that the premix worked for you. Hopefully with the rolling you will soon be back at it again.

Roselyn,

Weights today were:
Circuit Blast cardio-15lb dumbbell and 8lb medicine ball
Kettlebell Butts and Guts 20lb kettlebell
High Reps Lower Body
Warm up: 26lb barbell
squats barbell 45lb
plie squats barbell 35lb (not sure on this one, I think I should go back to 40 like last time. I hate holding the barbell in front. Maybe I should use a dumbbell and go heavier)

static barbell lunges 40lb
deadlifts 22.5 dumbbells
calf raises 22.5 dumbbells
back slide lunges gliding disc
cross back lunges gliding disc
abs/core no weight

I am going crazy at work this week. I thought it would be a quiet one, but nope. Just wanted to reply to Theresa's question about Linda.

I emailed her about a month ago and she said her progress with her shoulder is going really slow. She said the recovery is very slow and she can't lift much so she doesn't feel like a maniac. I told her she should just check in with us once in a while but I have a feeling she is feeling down right now. I can understand that. I'd hate not being able to workout. So other then that, she is doing fine and she did tell me to tell you all hi. I just forgot to post it on here until Theresa asked about her.

Debbie, thanks for letting us know about Linda. I was wondering about Linda too. She should check in once in anyway. She could just share what is going on with her. I don't think you have to be doing a Hardcore workout to check in. Sorry that it is busy at work. I guess that could be good or bad:)
