Morning guys:D

Here’s my take on STS D-14 Legs, simply…. AMAZING!! Yep, this is my kind of leg workout. Tues and Thurs, I leave work and go straight to baby sit my grandson’s while mother goes to Community College. She’s getting a car this weekend so this is me lasts week of babysitting…. AMAZING.:eek: Any who, she got home late, decided to go shopping after school.

I got home after 9, of course, I overslept I’m usually in bed every night around 7:30ish so this morn, I hopped out of bed around 4:45ish this is late for me, considering I need to prep a bit in the morning:rolleyes: thinking, hm.... this w/o is under an hour so I drank half cup of coffee and got BUSY!!! I almost talked myself out of an excellent workout. Just thought I share:)

BD squats 20/10 25/10 25/10
DB one leg elevated lunges 15/10 20/10 20/10
DB deadlifts wide stance 20/10 25/10 25/10

DB static lunges 20/10 20/10 20/10
DB pile squats alt hand 20/10 20/10 25/10
DB one leg slide back w/plates 20/10 20/10 20/10

BB stiff legged deadlifts on platform 50/10 50/10 50/10
Side slide lunges w/plates 20/10 20/10 20/10
DB squats narrow stance 25/10 25/10 25/10

DB Calf raises 20/20 20/20 20/20

All done!! I can definitely go heavier next time. I decided to keep the weights the same since time was short.

Today was total body doing supersets. Same workout as last Wednesday.

Did 4 sets/8 reps with each superset. 1 minute 30 second rest between each set.

Incline Hammer Curl - 20's ( down 5#)

Overhead Tricep Extensions - 20's (up 5#)
***Went down with the hammer curls because 25's were way too heavy last week.

Incline Barbell Bench Press - 85# (up 5#)

Barbell Row - 80# (up 5#)

I planned on doing Kelly Coffey Meyer's Bonus stretch from her bootcamp workout again but I had a mishap with the last superset. If I set up the leg end of my bench press first with heavy weights, it's so unbalanced that the weight bench flips over. Thats exactly what happened. 80# of weights slammed into my closet mirros and broke the trim on my wall. I was mad but more at myself then the bench because I know that bench does that. However, you would think the manufactures would make a safer bench to hold weight where they have placement for it. Stupid thing!

Hopefully I'll have time to stretch later.

Ab work will be done tomorrow and Saturday.

Debbie-That sounds like it was a pain in the butt, glad no one got hurt. I still have an indent in the wall where I acted like the kool aid guy on my treadmill (accident of course) :eek:

Yesterday I did Hollywood Hardball, it's a circuit workout from Paul Katami that uses a med ball and weights. I heard lots of good things about this workout, but I don't like it. It really didn't have a fun factor for me, and it was NEVERENDING LUNGES; Those are two words that should never be uttered from my lips :D I think I will wind up trading this or something. Anyway, we are snowed in again today. I hope I get to go to work tomorrow, I am sick of using my vacation for this crap!
 
No school today so I got to sleep in:D For some reason I burned more calories and HR stayed elevated beyond the usual with these workouts. I think maybe the fact that I am still dealing with the sinus thing and meds. Anyway workout started with Brook Benton's Cardio Pump Fusion w/up and Kettlebell Crank 22 min, 156 calories, HR 122 Avg and 177 Max, then I did STS Total Body upping a lot of the weights from the last time I did this. Workout was 67 minutes and calories burned was 524. I finished with the yoga Cooldown from Brook Benton's Cardio Pump Fusion 10 min, 45 calories. Total cal 725, 89 min. Talking to my Dad so will be back.

I have been reading over a couple of books. Bring it Tony Horton and New Rules of Lifting for Abs Alwynn Cosgrove. I need to come up with a plan. This week I did the Jari Bootcamp which is really a lot of cardiovascular work, todays workout and I think tomorrow I will do cardio, yoga (maybe budokon) and abs, then Friday and Saturday will be an upper workout and a lower workout.
Waiting for Schwanns to show up but I am not holding my breath with the snow we got. I wanted to make a soup from clean eating magazine but need more scallops and shrimp. I have enough for a half a pot. Was going to lower the amount of potatoes and add more of the seafood and other ingredients. Tomorrow Sears is supposed to come out to fix this washer. They had a recording confirm this but I am not expecting them to show. Will be done and ready at 8 am though just in case. Last time they did not show up and called a couple of days later telling me I needed to reschedule.
 
Roselyn - Nice job on your workout! Glad you are liking the rotation! It does look like a butt blater, that's for sure! :eek:

Teddygirl - Wow girl, you go to bed early! I usually get up around 5:30 and go to bed no later then 11. Seems to give me enough sleep time. Nice workout! I love the leg workouts in STS! They are da bomb!!!

Theresa - I'm glad none of my cats were in there with me. Ass Monkey usually always works out with me but for some reason he wasn't in there much this morning. I'm glad for that. I hate that bench! I hate lunges, too. I never understood why there has to be so many lunges in one workout. Sometimes Cathe goes overboard with lunges too. Don't blame you for wanting to sell or trade it.

Diane Sue - I thought you lived down south somewhere? Arizona or something? Are you guys really getting that much snow? That is crazy! I sure hope you can get your washer fixed tomorrow. What a pain!!!

Where is Lori? Anyone know? And I think we lost Cheryl a while ago. :( Haven't heard from Hermia in a while either. Or Char. :( :(
 
Debbie, you are lucky you were not really hurt. I have had several mishaps like that. It really does look like they would have figured a weight bench should be able to handle the weight. That is just crazy.

Theresa, that is not nice that you have to use your vacation for this weather. I think I should have went to Hawaii with dh. He would have been all for it but I have obligations here with the grandchildren. Although there has not been much school going on here.

Teddy, glad you enjoyed the workout. Fortunately my family does not do that to me when I babysit. I did have daycare people do that to me years ago. I found it annoying when they would show up late and you would see all of the grocery bags in their car. I thought they could have taken their children just like I did when I was raising mine. They don't take into consideration that maybe I had plans. DH was pretty good about going out opening the garage and starting the car like he was waiting for me hoping they would get the hint. I will say most of the time if someone asks I am not very good about saying no.

Debbie, I live in Oklahoma. Wish I lived in AZ right now:) I did live there growing up. We are missing quite a few. I asked the same thing about Lori on the Facebook HC check in. I know she is working a second job.

Still, you are pretty down south for having so much snow. Although other then FL, everyone is getting snow right now.
