Roselyn-nice workout, as usual :) Do you have another rotation picked out just yet?

Hello to all from yesterday, sorry I didn't get time to post.

The weekend was low key, DH had a cold. I think I may have got it, but it's still morning and I may be too quick to judge this a.m. Yesterday was Athletica and it was a GREAT workout. Kettlebell inspired moves using a dumbbell, very fast paced and challenging. NOt sure about today yet, I have a friend coming over to act as a guinea pig again......may do a short HIIT and call it a day.

I had to split up my workout this morning. It took awhile to get started before I took my granddughters to school. I woke with a terrible headache and some upset stomach issues. I did STS Mesocycle , week 3, disc 8 Back and Triceps 60 minutes 327 calories. When I returned I did Bob Harper's Yoga for the Warrior 58 minutes 222 calories. I didn't feel like doing cardio feeling the way I did. I am better now. Workout time was 1 hr 58 min and calories burned was 549.

Roselyn, nice job on the weights. I am on week 3 of STS Mesocycle 1. I am thinking maybe I should order the total body workout coming out and do some Total body workouts for a bit then change it up again. Do you have plans for after you finish Mesocycle 3?

Theresa, I hope you aren't getting the cold. I keep starting to get one back again but seem to be managing keeping down.

Teddy, good for you throwing out the candy. Sometimes when you look at how the bad stuff makes you feel both healthwise and emotionally and the cost throwing it out it is really not a waste.

Hey Maniacs!

It's kind of quiet around the boards lately.....go figure! I got in a really good workout this morning with Cardiofusion, and my DVD player stopped completely in the middle of the warm up, which was a good thing because I always think that warm up is too long. I jumped right into the step work and got a good 60 min high intensity cardio workout for once!! YAY! I also am down another lb, but still up 6 lbs from the summer, so it's slow and steady.

Roselyn - Nice workout!

Theresa - I hope you don't get that cold - YUK!! 'Tis the season, but I hate being sick. :(

Diane Sue - I hope you are feeling better - again - sickness is NOT fun!

Teddy - Glad you are "getting back on the wagon". :p

Ok...I have to get some work done this afternoon. I am SOOOOOO excited about my new workout room, which is coming along FANTASTIC! I ordered the 5.5' X 7.5' wall mirror and hope to have all of my workout goodies moved over this weekend - DOUBLE YAY!! The rest of the house is coming along nicely and I love the way things are just "falling into place". It has been a month and a half of seriously hard work, and I'm ready to enjoy the fruit of my labor - LOL. :p

Have a great day everyone!

Cheryl

Hi all! Just wanted to say that I'm enjoying my rest week. I'm reading all your posts, but not replying much. Sorry! You girls are all kicking some major butt, though!!! :D

Roselyn - Nice work this morning :)

Teddy - It can be SO TOUGH to get in a funk like that -- and even tougher to pull yourself out. I am saying this because I get there myself sometimes and just want to crawl into a hole and pull it in after me  I am so impressed by the steps you took to turn things around even though you were feeling rather cruddy. Not easy, but I bet you are glad you did. Very smart to choose a workout you love and go to it. Thanks for being so inspiring :)

Theresa - That's it. I want that workout. Doggone enabler ;) :p ~ Sure hope you don't come down with a cold and your DH feels better. YAY for you and your guinea pig - I'm sure both of you will benefit from the experience :)

Diane Sue - Heck of a workout to take on with a headache/stomach ache. Glad you are feeling better :).

I've been kind of distracted the past few days and forgot to pay our water bill  I was reminded when I tried to make coffee this morning (said a very bad word - twice - ) It is running again now, though I was pretty  and caffeine deprived when I went in to pay it. Honestly, my brain is really just useless extra weight for me to carry around sometimes. I was going to skip a workout and even check-in today, but I popped in to see how you all were doing. You guys are pretty motivating. I suppose I can at least finish up PUB (biceps) and then ... see what else. Kind of a low energy day but sometimes those can turn around, huh?

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.

Lori

Aw......you guys are the best, I really mean it:rolleyes: and I appreciate all the encouraging words

Debbie - I have been gone to long, did not know you are on vacation, good for you:)

Diane - Wow, nice workout:rolleyes:

Lori - You rock;)

And to everyone else, have a great evening. I told my boss that I am leaving at 3:30 so nice out side, I am going home to rake as many leaves as I can. See you tomorrow

So you got no coffee, Lori? That's horrible! I love my coffee. Sometimes, though, when there's so much going on, it's easy to forget things. Heck, sometimes it's easy even when there isn't much going on!

I am cooking out of a feed the muscle/burn the fat sort of cookbook lately, per fiance's trainer's instructions, and so far it's working out well. The recipes have been good and pretty easy to make. I asked about other books last week and Muscle Chow was mentioned--I definitely want to get that one for more variety but Mark is running it by his trainer first. I'm sure it will be fine, though...based on what I've heard of it, it sounds like just the thing.

My workout was actually not as late as this post. I'm staying up waiting for laundry to get done. It seems like my kitty's new treats don't agree with her. She puked on my bed and I've been cleaning blankets ever since that delightful discovery.

Anyway, I did the chest/tricepts superset premix from Gym Style Chest and Triceps and then the abs from Kick, Punch, and Crunch.
