HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR TUES NOV 16

Yesterday I did Amy Bento's Step Challenge 4 (combos 2, 3, and 4 and the power up section 3 times). Today I have a TRX circuit on the agenda. I don't have much else going on. I have been SUPER CRANKY since this time change (I don't do well with my routine being disrupted)....I am trying to get it together, but I feel sorry for most everyone that has to put up with me  :(

Today was cardio. Didn't feel like doing cardio. Wish I could get past this cardio block I'm in.

I chose Cardio Coach #1. Had a pretty good workout. Inner thigh started hurting again with Challenge #2 but I kept going. Tired of this.

Also did MIS Abs. Love that one.

CARDIO STATS:
38 minutes total
4 minutes below zone
10 minutes in zone
25 minutes above zone
312 calories burned
2 miles travelled

Morning,:D

Today, boss is taking up to Paladar Latin Kitchen for lunch. I promise you guys after today, I will be back on track, Have a great day everyone:)

Roselyn - I have upper body on schedule today, too. Also, dug through cookie recipe's last night :p . If it hadn't been for your suggestion, I doubt I'd have done that this soon, but maybe I'll get a head start on baking and actually make some things for neighbors this year. We have quite a few older/single people in our neighborhood and I always think it would be nice to visit them during this season -- might actually make that happen ;)

Debbie -I've had a heck of a time getting started working out almost daily lately. Not just cardio - EVERYTHING. I pace around sighing a lot trying to find my mojo (where DID I put that  ) -- Good for you on getting it done -- sorry you're still having the inner thigh trouble.

Theresa - I am NOT ok with the time change :( -- I've probably been a little grumpy too but more so, I think I'm just fighting off the blues. DS kind of likes the winter -- I just curl up in a ball and stare at his cheery self, shaking my head. This makes him laugh. Eeyore does not LIKE to be laughed at  Good workout, though -- and hang in there :) .

Teddy - Enjoy your lunch :)

Yesterday, I did Muscle Endurance lower body and about a half hour of add ons (some tabata leg rounds, practiced pistols and tgu/windmills for 10 mins, too). I'd intended to do ME as is, but I think I really prefer splits of some/any kind, to full body. I've read a few very good articles about the merit of full body workouts and could see the sense in them. I used to do them much more often (when I first got involved with weight training) -- BUT, I just enjoy breaking it up a little more and revising/adding on exercises. I've have been happy with the way that's worked for me. So, upper body today and cardio. It's been more of a push to do ANYTHING lately, so if something works and I like it, I'll just accept that and go with it (especially while I'm in this tough spot -- REALLY dragging).

Have a good day everyone.

This morning I did STS mesocycle 1 week 4 legs disc 12. I did a little longer w/up with 50 kettlebell swings. Workout was 60 min , 317 calories. I then did Turbo Fire Fire 45, 46 min , 374 calories, Max HR 160. I finished off with Kelly Coffey's 30 Minutes to Fitness Bootcamp bonus stretch 18 min, 70 calories. Workout was 2 hr 4 minutes and calories burned was 709. This morning was a challenge. My grandbaby was full of energy. She was working out, counting with Cathe. yelling Yah. Then when Chalene said we were getting our second wind the baby says what is that smell? I'm like, is it you? She says yes. I will be glad when we get her trained. She is 2 and I know it is that time. Then I gave her some yogurt and went to get a fast bath. I hear a door closing and hear her saying just a minute Nana, I am changing. I will be out in a second. I come out and she is running around the house laughing with no clothes on:eek:

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't been able to post much with the move, etc. I hope to have internet in the new house this Friday - YAY!! I wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone and let you all know that- somehow - I have been exercising almost every day - even in the midst of chaos - work, moving, spending time with friends and family - you name it!! I absolutely LOVE my new workout room. I have a 8 foot long X 6 foot tall mirror on the wall -. I do have to tack down the carpet, however, because I almost bit the dust this morning doing a cha cha slide - yea.....slid right across the room on the newly refinished hardwood floor.

Diane Sue - LOL about your granddaughter running around naked - kids just crack me up!! Nice workout today! :D

Lori - What DID you do with that mojo? j/k. It actually looks like you have been getting in some great workouts even in a funk. Do you like any winter sports - at all? How about snowshoes or X-country skiing? I don't really LOVE winter, but I try to make the best of it and have been trying all sorts of different winter sports - EVEN snowmobiling last year (will NOT try that again). I hope you are feeling better and get out of your funk soon. :D

Teddy - Enjoy your lunch - sounds AWESOME!! :D

Theresa - Sorry you have been so cranky - me too!! :p It looks like you have been having great workouts!

Roselyn - Nice workout!

Ok...gotta get back to work. I can't wait to get back to the boards and have internet at home. Have a great day!

Cheryl, it sounds like you are almost there:D Soon you will be doing everything just like usual. Can't wait to have you posting back regularly. I am glad to hear that you are getting your workouts in.

Teddy, enjoy your lunch;) Eat light tonight. You will be fine.

Debbie, nice workout for not feeling it:)

Theresa, I really enjoy Amy's Step Challenge 4. I am finally getting the choreography down pretty well.

Lori, I hear you on preferring to break the workouts up. I make myself do total body sometimes. If I do that though I often feel I am missing out on really hitting one area well. That is why I make it a focus workout and one of the total body days I add on some extra lower stuff and another I will add on some extra upper stuff. It took me a long time to even try Super Sets and Push and Pull as a total body workout. ME is the same way. I generally wanted to do it as a Circuit with Cardio or split upper and lower.

Theresa, I hate change in routine too. Sorry it is getting to you.

Hey there,
No time for a workout for me today...too much grading and I ended up taking a pretty long nap when I got home from work cuz I was so exhausted from the previous and current day. Anyway, I'd wanted to go to the candle light yoga class, which isn't much in the way of a workout, but is quite relaxing and nice for stretching. I felt/feel rather tight and stressy, so I did a brief bit of yoga here. I did the "power surge warmups" (14 min) from Ravi and Ana's Yoga Quick Fixes, and then some stretches/headstand on my own. Didn't have the energy to work on my forearm balance, but overall, it was nice to get a break from my grading to de-kink a bit.
