HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR TUES JAN 4

Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Kickbox Challenge by Tracey. I had a really good workout and worked up a good sweat. Really needed this cardio after last week.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 2 minutes total
3 minutes below zone
17 minutes in zone
43 minutes above zone
511 calories burned

Happy with that calorie burn!!!

Be back later! :)

I am back to getting up at 4 am again. This morning I did Tracey's High Intensity Step Mix 2 skipping the 11 min total body segment and doing the abs. Workout was 83 min and calories burned was 554. I had a hard time keeping my HR up. It kept dropping to around 126. Max HR was 156. I would have liked to do a few more abs exercises and some extra stretching. Maybe when I get home . Usually by that time I am not in the mood.

Hello fellow Maniacs-
I soon hope to be able to call myself that again. The rest has helped the shoulder, but after the dr's visit yesterday, it is still a very angry joint. I had an injury that I let go and never got checked, and now my shoulder doesn't want to stay in the right place. He should know within two more visits if he can fix it or I have to be refered to an ortho. I am praying for the former b/c shoulder procedures are not pleasant AT ALL.

Yesterday I did Michelle Dozoi's Ultimate Body Breakthru Cardio and Flexibility. It was 45 min total, 30 of that cardio. It felt nice to work up a sweat again. I need to do weights, but I am very apprehensive of upper body work. I may try to work around the shoulder and see what I can get done (thanks for the tip Lori on the FB checkin-I may give that a try). He told me to avoid external rotation and pushing movements so I may just take chest out of the equation. Anyway, I am rambling.....I shall report back later.

Roselyn-nice work as always :)

Debbie-that was one heck of a calorie burn, you must have really been workin' it :D

Diane Sue-I would surely lose my steam if I had to be up that early, good work ;)

Morning :D

My basement is finally completed and looking so organized. yay! He did a fabulous job. Now all I need is a sleep sofa:eek:.

I started this week workout with cardio CC #8.

Stats
60:00 minutes
480 cals burned
4:36 miles traveled

Nice work you guys :)

Diane: I have been MIA a few days, glad you are doing better :)

Good morning -

Good cardio Roselyn. I like that one. Cathe did a good job (as usual), and ... uh, so did you :).

Debbie - Thanks to your suggestion, I HAVE that one. It sure is fun. Glad you enjoyed your workout :)

Diane Sue - That's a tough transition. I wonder if your body wasn't quite "with" you quite yet (the HR thing). Nice work though. I am so glad you are finally feeling better (assuming you are).

Theresa - I don't blame you for being apprehensive about the UB work. That sounds like quite an ordeal. Painful and frustrating and please, don't ever quit calling yourself a Maniac. You just ARE - it's in your blood. Taking care of/getting through injuries is just part of that. Glad you found some cardio that was "safe." Please keep us posted as to what's going on. I get an awful lot from your presence here :D

Teddy - YAY on the basement and your workout. Did you make a final decision on whether to start STS over or not? I guess whatever you feel best about is the right thing to do, huh? You really liked Meso one anyway (if I recall right). Anyhow - nice job today. Must have felt good to be working out in such a great looking basement ;)

Yesterday, I did some sprints on my bike (trainer) and a whole lot of stretching. My leg felt GREAT after that. It is not letting me off the hook quite so easy today and feels ... ehhh ... again this morning (sigh). I will either do upper body or intervals on the elliptical. Have some work to do this morning and then I will decide.

Has Cheryl checked in lately (hope she's ok!)?

Hi Cheryl, Hermia and everyone else :) .

Lori

First of all - where is Char? I seen she posted a little after Christmas and said she was going to check in with us. Haven't seen her since. :( Come back, Char! We miss your Toasty workouts!

Roselyn - Nice job on TF. If those weren't such high impact workouts, I'd get them.

Diane Sue - Nice job on your workout, how are you feeling? I know what you mean about doing ab work later, I'm the same way. I need to get my ab work in this week.

Theresa - I'm sorry you are having such a time with your shoulder. Dang it. It's always something, isn't it? I'm glad you have someone looking at it and I hope they can help. Did he take xrays or anything? And I agree with Lori, you will always be a Maniac!!

Teddygirl - Yay on the basement! Its a great feeling to get rooms completed. We are working on our dining room and have to put the floor down and we just bought a really nice table nook for the corner. I can't wait until its done! Nice job with CC#8!

Lori - Sorry to hear about your legs. Are you having pains or something? I must have missed what's been going on with you. Hope you are ok.
