Roselyn-be strong against those cookies :D

Teddy-nice workout this a.m., don't you just love a snow day

Yesterday I did Santa Monica-a kettlebell workout. It has 9 rounds that vary in time but it is a doozy  Today I have cardio on the agenda but I don't know which one yet. I am itching to try the Rapid Fire I got, so it may be a premix from that :)

Today was the dreaded cardio. I chose Low Max and had an ok workout. At least it went fast.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 2 minutes total
4 minutes below zone
25 minutes in zone
34 minutes above zone
497 calories burned

My workout today was Intensity Premix Maximum Intensity 70 minutes, 570 calories, Max HR 165. I followed with Jackie Warner's Crunchless Abs Standing 16 minutes, 110 calories using 5&8lb dumbbells. I finished with Tracey Staehle's Yoga Solutions post cycling mix 12 minutes 31 calories. I wish the premix wasn't so choppy but it is a good stretch. I like the cowface pose:) Total workout time was 98 minutes and calories burned was 711. I have loads of running today. I need to go get showered.

Roselyn, it looks like we both were on the same wavelink for cardio today:D I almost made some cookies the other day. I knew they would be calling me. You have to be strong. I would eat some myself. Once I start though I can't quit.

Debbie, you got a nice calorie burn so it must have been a decent workout.

Theresa, Santa Monica is a tough workout. I like that one a lot but have to feel motivated and have lots of energy:)

Theresa, great start with STS:D

Roselyn - I hate when cookies do that. Once they know your name, they can be relentless ;) I liked that workout -- nice job.

Teddy - Yay :) A day off. Excellent way to start it, too. Are you starting a new calendar along with STS then?

Theresa - Based on Diane Sue's comment (and the clips I've seen), you had a heck of a workout yesterday :) Hearing an awful lot about Rapid Fire (all good). Have fun today.

Diane Sue - Must have been an Intensity vibe going on :p . That workout seemed to go by fast for its length. Wonder if it was due to the variety. Like the abs and yoga add ons. Hope your day isn't too rushed :) .

Debbie - You get a very good cal burn with that one. Didn't it come out just a hair short of 500 last time? I'd probably have just done some push ups and rounded it up -- or just given myself a few extra points for doing cardio at all (if I were in a phase where it was a drag for me) :p . Anyway, good work today. How are you holding up through the storm? Also, saw your post re: Intensity yesterday. It's definitely NOT low impact (except for the Low Impact Hiit ... well. Duh, yes of course ). I can see why, if you're trying to avoid so much jumping, it could have put you off. I try to be mindful of that myself (this from a woman who's working with Insanity ), and find it can be really tough to find good low/no impact cardio. Kettlebells are great, but I think I remember you saying you weren't too keen on those. Anyway, Intensity might be the thing for days you just want a little cardio and could just do one or two of the segments. Trying it out that way might be more ... fun and less total time airborn.

Yesterday, I did Meso 3, week 2 chest and back. Legs today, and I was considering doing Lower Body Blast and then the same routine I did last week for squat rack legs, later this weekend. BUT -- LBB does have jumping in it and I really need to ease off that so much this week. So. I don't know. I'm not very excited about futzing with the vests and heavier weights. I am frankly feeling a bit wimpy today * sigh *. That's probably what I should do though -- the squat rack disk. Hoping for a surge of inspiration/energy ... perhaps I will settle for a motherlode of cafffeine

Have a good morning.
