Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Tues Aug 16

Gee I had Thurs when I posted yesterday

Today I did cardio, drug out an oldie but goodie, Imax original and then did about 15 minutes of MIC, to get a little over an hour of cardio.

Followed with core of Michelle Dozois, 20 minutes (4 segments, 5 minutes each) this has some light weight used, bands and planks crunches etc.
 
No workout today. That knot is worse than it was yesterday. I massaged it out again, it felt great last night before I went to bed and now it's all tight and I can't turn my head to the left. WTF? I'm totally sick of this. And what's bad is in three weeks dh and I are going on vacation so I won't be working out that week. Yeesh. What is it with the muscle issue? It's becoming chronic.
 
My workout today was 4 Day Split HIS Cardio no str, 29 min, 201 calories, Max hr 154. I then did 4 Day Split lower premix stopping at the stretch and doing TRX squat with a jump, single leg squat with a jump, hamstring curl with hips elevated, kneeling rollout,elevated side plank, elevated knee ins, 30 sec each with 20 sec rest
1 hr, 363 calories. I finished with Shiva's Power Yoga Flow forward bends and hip openers. I really needed that my low back was achey this morning. This was 18 min, 40 calories. Workout was 1 hr 47 min and calories burned 604. I have 7 grandchildren here today. I woke at 4:15 this am with a terrible headache. Took Advil and finally just decided to stay up because there was no chance of going back to sleep.

Debbie, I am sorry you are have those muscle problems. You are so good about taking care of it. I know it can become frustrating and some of those hings take much longer than we would like to mend.

Roselyn, I like I Max original. I just always wished that it did not have that long w/up. Many of those oldies are much tougher than I would think they are when I go back and do them.
 
Diane Sue - I have to say, I am getting really irritated about this particular injury. I have it all the time. Every day my upper back is tight as a guitar string. I just don't get it. I am really careful when I do my workouts because I know the slightest thing can irritate it. Yet even though I'm careful I'm laid up for over a week. It's ridiculous. I'd go to the doctors if I thought it would help. It's a knot, though, what could they do for it?

Thanks for listening to my complaints!! I know they have been many lately. :(
 
I hope it gets better, Debbie! I would be sooo frustrated...even small things upset me when it comes to injuries. I've been having pain in the ball of my right foot for a while now and I thought it was gone then it came back! Soooooo annoyed!!
That seems odd that even with frequent massage it won't stay unknotted. =(

Today I went to bar class (I know everyone else spells it barre, but for some reason at yogaworks they don't!). I haven't been to this class for a couple weeks due to vacation, so it hurt worse than usual!
