Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Thurs Sept 15

Hi everyone! No workout for me today but I'm happy to report I am almost 100% pain free!! Woo hoo! Last night was the first night I slept without feeling a pinch. Still a bit tight, but no throbbing pain. Looks like Monday I'll be able to workout but now I'm worried about all those damn pushups in STS 1. I may have to skip some of that for now. The last thing I want to do is irritate this upper back again.
 
This morning I did Sharon Twombly's Zero to Sixty 68 min, 510 calories Max HR 155. After took the children to school I did STS Total Body upper only, 24 min, 162 calories. I finished with TRX TV Flow Mobility 39 min, 206 calories(this was much harder than I expected. I was surprised at the calorie burn. Total time was 2 hr 6 min and calories burned 878.

Debbie, glad to hear you are pain free:D I am getting really tired of push ups. One of the reasons I have not pre-ordered P90X2 yet. I am on the fence because I am really not wanting to do workouts that have tons of pushups and pull ups.
 
Diane Sue - Thats another thing I don't want to do with STS - pullups. I know my upper back won't stand that right now. Maybe I should rethink this. Maybe STS isn't right for me just yet.
 
Debbie, those moves are just so hard on the shoulders. It is hard to find a replacement move when there are so many in one workout. I almost skipped chest today because of the push ups. I have been doing so many of them with Bootcamp and again today with Zero to Sixty. The front of my right shoulder is sore.
 
Diane Sue - I worry about my shoulders too, since I've had pain there as well. Great, I do think I need to figure up a new rotation. Maybe I should write one up on my own?

Speaking of shoulders, I wonder how Linda is doing? Has anyone heard from her? I need to email her.
 
Debbie, I have not heard from Linda or seen her on for a long time. On shoulders today I lowered to 8's on the lateral raises and only 35 on the upright rows and didn't go to high. I always feel I am probably not going to get much gains from it but I just don't like the pain. Not worth having to have surgury or something. Then I wouldn't be able to do anything.
 
Diane Sue - I know what you mean. Are your shoulders bothering you lately? My right one was hurting quite a bit before I took this workout hiatus. Now it seems fine. I hope it is but will still go light with the weights. I really hate to not do STS, maybe I'll figure out some exercises to replace the pullups and all those pushups. I'm not a big pushup fan to begin with.
 
Debbie, I think that you can do substitutions and still do it. It is my right shoulder that hurts. That is usually the one that hurts. Right hip, right shoulder, right side of my neck. That is why some of it I attribute to my body alignment. I have thought about a chiropractor but really I don't think insurance would pay and it scares me. No amount of stretching and flexibility seems to even it out. It could be worse though. I think the flexibility stuff has helped a lot.
