HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR THURS FEB 17

Today was 50 TF, the bonus butt workout, and 400 lunges!! A question to my Hard Core Maniacs, that darn scale went up like 3 pounds a couple days ago and is stuck. I have been eating good, I will admit a couple of days my calories were a little low, and I have been doing this rock bottom rotation with a lot of leg work, not that TOTM either, what gives girls!! Could too low of calories be messing with that? Any ideas send my way, have a goo day.

Today was cardio and I chose one of my Cardio Coach mixes. The first challenge was Challenge #1 from CC #7. Tough challenge, it totals 24 minutes. Then I had 2 challenges that were sprints. Had a great workout.

Then I did the stretch from Gym Style Legs. Love that one.

CARDIO STATS:
56 minutes total
3 minutes below zone
16 minutes in zone
36 minutes above zone
459 calories burned
3 miles travelled

Roselyn - It could very well be that you aren't eating enough. Try increasing a bit (clean foods) and see how that goes. I know how frustrating that is when you workout like a maniac and no results are showing. Have you lost inches? Body fat? Sometimes weight isn't the way to measure progress.

Morning :D

My back is better went home and took to pain pills and placed my heated pad on my back all night  By end of workday yesterday, I could bardly move. Today, I did CC 1 revised ended up being a good 36 minutes workout. 278 cals burned, 2:37 miles.

Roselyn - am no expert but...I really don't feel it has anything to do with lowering your calorie intake. But, everything to do with lower body work, especially if you are using heavy weights. My pants are really tight today, eek!!! I do believe there'll a breaken point and the extra water you are holding will go away:rolleyes:

Debbie - I agree this journey can be so frustrating one min I'm down a few pounds then back up. For me when lifting heavy my weight sky rocket, I stopped stepping on the scale, really. From now on just keep eating my sweets, kidding...eating clean and measure my progess in inches and in my clothes.

It has been an interesting morning already. I am waiting for the Tech to come and fix my washer. I hope he doesnt wait till late in the day again. The grandbaby decided to get in the refrigerater and count eggs this morning:eek: Needless to say there was a mess. I am doing a rush job of washing her clothes. I guess if the tech comes I will just have to take them out.
This morning I did Jari Loves Extremely Ripped Boot Camp w/up and round 1 knee iso hold, forward backward knee up, skier lunge 16 min 101 calories.
I followed with STS total w/up and lower only 30 min 180 calories, then Lower Body Blast floorwork adding 3lb ankle weights and the bonus leg work finishing with the stretch 146 calories 33 min. Total time was 79 minutes and calories burned 427.

Roselyn, I have had that happen and it is frustrating. Even when I used to work 3 hours plus a day I had that happen. The body is pretty good at adapting. You have been doing some pretty long hard cardios. I love long cardios but it seems the body trys to hold on to the weight after awhile. Maybe you need to look at your protein, carb, and fat ratios. Maybe adjust them a little and up the calories. I am with Debbie though. Weight is not the only way to tell how you are progressing. I have recently had some weight gain. It is dropping a little. I had to adjust my portions. When I started logging I realized I was eating much more than I should have been. I knew I was eating pretty clean but I also knew my pants were getting tighter.

Debbie, nice calorie burn. I don't think that I would have the patience to try and do different portions of Cardio Coach. I have them all on my ipod shuffle and on cds. I have a hard time finding workouts on my shuffle even though I put them all in their own folder.

Teddy, sorry about the back. That is not pleasant. Glad it is better.

Roselyn - Also, I cannot believe you did 400 lunges! You are a true maniac!

Teddygirl - Hope your back is feeling better today. You probably should have just taken a rest day. Nice job on your cardio, though!

Diane Sue - How is the floor work from LBB? Do you like it? Is it the same stuff like Cathe does in her other workouts? I'll have to check the new workouts out soon. I've only done the ab work in them. Didn't you just get your washer fixed? What a pain.

Theresa - Hope you are enjoying your rest week! You deserve it!!

Debbie, they did a no show on the washer due to weather before I left town. So I had to reschedule. Then when they came the part they ordered was not the right one so they reordered and sent it here. They are on there way over now. I am going to have to figure out something with the grandchildren that I was supposed to pick up.
I like the use of the loop band(firewalker band) on the floorwork. The rest is pretty much the same leg raises and pulses which they do non weighted but Cathe says you can add ankle weights. Interesting that the bonus is barre work with no weight but I tell you my legs are burning by the time we are done. The floorwork is only 11 minutes.

Diane Sue - That is unreal about the washer. How frustrating!!! The floor work sounds good, I'll need to try it. I'm not a big fan of floor work, however.

Yeah, those lunges were crazy, I think I am going to adjust workout next week, it is the last of the rock bottom rotation and not do so much heavy lower body and see what happens, my pants are not tight and things fit so it could just be my body holding on to weight and I am thinking I may need to up calories, I hate to say this but the other day I was so busy I ate but when I entered calories I was not even at 1000 so I know that is not good, thanks for all the advice.
