HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR SAT MAR 5

Happy Mardi Gras weekend, it is cold and rainy here in St. Louis, my husband just headed to our big parade downtown, his boss bought a corporate tent for everyone in the company, my DH had to go because he is one of the VP's, he left in about 4 layers of clothes, I am happy in my warm house after a nice warm workout. I did Rapid Fire and I am going now to finish with a little TF Hiit.

For anyone who is interested I purchased Jackier Warner's dvd, it is a 30 minute strength dvd and it is something I like to add on at the end of some workout days.

Debbie, got your rotation, and I am supposing I should go pretty heavy? Thank you so much for sending that to me.

Today was total body and I had a great workout. Really lifted to my full capacity today except for leg extensions and decline flyes. Still have knee issues and pain in my right shoulder.

3 sets/12 reps with 1 min. 30 second rest between each set.

Zottman Curls - 20's
Lying Dumbbell Tricep Extensions - 20's
Decline Dumbbell Flyes - 25's
Bent-Over Lateral Raise - 20's
Leg Extensions - 60#
Upright Rows - 55#

Then I did my favorite Ab Blaster that I got from one of mu Oxygen mags a long time ago. Consists of:

Hanging Knee Raises
Bench V-Ups
Reverse Bench Crunch

***Did all three non-stop. First set with 15 reps, 2nd set with 12 reps and 3rd set with 10 reps. 1 minute rest between each tri-set.

Roselyn - You should use your 1 RM that you used with STS. When lifting for 5 reps you need to go as heavy as you can. With each of these exercises, you need to go as heavy as you can for the amount of reps that are stated. Have fun with it!

I did a shorter workout this morning but still got a nice calorie burn. I have errands to run and am picking up two of my older grandchildren to spend the night and hang with:D I started with Supreme 90 Day shoulders/arms 44 min 356 calories. This had me sweating big time. I guess because there is really no rests. Next I did Jari's Extremely Ripped Bootcamp section 3 crab, then lunge/bicep/arnold press, jump squats and stretch 16 min 141 cal Max HR 167. I added on the cooldown from Brook Benton's Kettlebody cardio 7 min 31 cal. Total time spent 67 min cal 528.
Shoulders/arms:most of the exercises you are supposed to do 8-12 reps
the usual core w/up and arm circles I think next time I may try to push heavier and do it in 8 reps. You go at your own pace. The ones that do less reps are done sooner and have a little bit of a break before they go to the next group of exercises.

Roselyn, it got really cold here yesterday. I won't be doing much outside today either. I have Jackie Warner's crunchless abs and really like it. I haven't tried anything else of hers yet.

Debbie, nice looking workout. I like the abs workout that you did:)

Debbie,

How do you do your hamstring curls that is in your rotation?

My weight bench has a leg extension device where I can do leg curls on it as well. If you don't have that, substitute for another hamstring exercise. Those hamstring raises that Cathe does on the stability ball is a good replacement.

Today was my rest day. Tomorrow I will be back to Supreme 90 Day. I previewed Cardio Challenge and there is a lot of weighted work in this workout. I was surprised that legs is the day after:0

Hi Ladies =)

It's been a while since I've been on. In the last month, I've barely worked out. We moved into a new place about a month ago and then last weekend we got married. Work has been busy as usual, and we still aren't completely situated in the new place...getting close, though. With all the wedding/moving/work stuff, workouts just didn't happen, except for a couple yoga classes. Now that the wedding's over, though, I've started getting back into it this week and I cannot believe how incredibly sore I am today!! I am out of shape after a month, lol. On wednesday I went to a light yoga class (level 2, but her classes seem more like 1/2 to me), then on Friday I did my first actual dvd in the new place. I did Amy's All Pump because I didn't want to be totally destroyed since it's been a few weeks since I've really worked out. Then yesterday I went to a ninety minute killer level 2 yoga class, and today I am sore in so many places. I can barely walk properly and did not even think of attempting a workout today. Hopefully tomorrow though.

It's nice to be back and I'm looking forward to completely "normalizing" following so many abnormal things! =)
