Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Sat July 9

This morning I did Lauren Brooks Kettlebell workout #3 because I wanted to check out the kettlebell and suspension training segment. I made some substitutions using a door anchor and my superband and yoga strap. I also use the stability ball for some moves. It worked pretty well till I get a TRX or Jungle Gym. I stopped at the core portion that I did yesterday. 21 min, 148 calories. I then did URX-MT Patrick Goudeau Core Metabolic Cardio. I chose this one because it does not use the sand weights a lot. My shoulders are tired from yesterday's workout and I did get a little upper work from the Kettlebell workout. 51 minutes, 409 calories, Max HR 157. I finished with SHiva Rea's Yoga Flow backbending vinyasa flow segment 14 min, 62 calories. Total time was 86 min and calories burned 619.

Diane Sue, I didn't know you could get a home TRX set-up. My friend takes a TRX class at her local gym (far from me!) and it sounds great; I'm so jealous! I know there are things you can hook up from your door, but I've never looked into them as it sounds overly cumbersome and contrived. I've just always figured that's the sort of thing you really do have to go to a gym for.

Yoga today! This teacher has us move really slowly through postures, so it gets your core and legs more. When I got home I did the first ab section on Amy's Advanced Step Challenge 3. (I haven't learned the choreo of that step workout yet, but the ab sections are good, particularly the first, imho).
