HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR JULY 8

Today was Muscle Endurance. Had a good workout. I am going to post my meals again. If anyone wants to join me please do. It makes me more accountable and I like to see what you are all having.

M1- protein shake with strawberries
M2- protein shake
M3- turkey on an Ezekial wrap with lettuce, tomato
M4- apple with peanut butter

Have not decided on dinner. Maybe fish and veggies

Hey Roselyn- I like ME, did it last week. I have Cardio Fusion on my list for today- probably head down in an hour or so.

B: Egg white / oatmeal pancake with peanut butter
L: Zucchini, green beans, eggplant and fake sausage saute in tomato sauce and an apple
S: Blueberries, cottage cheese and almonds
D: Turkey meatloaf and steamed veggies
S: Frozen strawberries and greek yogurt

I may join you in the meal thing later on. I quit counting and tracking soon after STS - just needed the mental break plus it was summer and we had some trips planned so I let it go. Are you two (and anybody else) planning on posting calories and macros or not?

Yesterday, I lifted lightly for upper body, did some abs and ran a mile, then swam 300 meters. This run was the first time that a mile has been easy. I kept it at a 10 minute mile pace. Guess I am getting there. Today, I think I will bike some then immediately run a little more, lift lightly for legs and do some more ab work, plus a swim again. The next race is Sunday and thankfully, I am not nearly as nervous. PLUS, I THINK I am getting my new bike :D:D:D today. I will get fitted and I am hoping, hoping, hoping it will fit me. The only holdback is my height and if it doesn't fit, I will just go to another frame but it will be red with some white and the one I want is a pinky-purple and black.

Debbie - is your mom still doing well?

Linda - how are things at your house now?

Diane Sue - great to have you back! How do you like the new place?

You ladies are reading my mind about posting the food. I will start tomorrow and will be one day behind. Do any of you have "cheat" days or meals or do you try to follow the same meals every day? I am wrestling with that now...I feel like a "free" meal just helps me derail. I went to a nutritionist and still am gaining weight. I'm kinda pissed at myself currently. I have a lot to do this afternoon and do not know if I will get a formal workout in, but we will see.

Roselyn and I posted at the same time this morning. LOL!

Today was yoga so I chose Karen Voight's YogaSculpt. I like this one, it's about 45 minutes long. She does a nice job with the way the workout flows. I really like her, she's calm and relaxing. I can't believe how tight my muscles are.

It's 53 degrees here. I'm FREEZING! It was only 48 degrees in Youngstown where my dad lived.

Weird summer...

Cooler here today too- 74. I won't complain, though, since that's a nice temp.

I did Cardio Fusion and then the stability ball abs from B&G, which I don't think I've ever done. Huh. I really liked the oblique work leaning on the ball holding the band in both hands. I like CF but it is a tad too long. I need it right now though since I have 6 pounds I want off!

Shana: I am not counting macros right now- was making me crazy. As for calories, I eat a lot of the same things so I am not obsessively measuring at the moment since I have a general idea where I am most of the time.

Theresa: I don't do formal cheat days or meals. It tends to me lead me down a dark path to baking and cookie consumption, lol.

Does anyone know a good website for recipes? I signed up on epicurious.com recently, but a lot of their recipes don't have nutritional information, which I find rather disappointing. I seem to be able to eat pretty much whatever, but I'll be moving in with my boyfriend and his cousin's family soon, and I'll be cooking for bf and I, and he's trying to lose some weight, so I want to be mindful of what I cook.

Hi Maniacs -

This morning I did 321 - Bulge Be Gone (don't laugh). It's a cardio/weight circuit by Hollywood trainer Ramona Braganza. I was pleasantly surprised with it. It was a decent workout. I repeated the kickbox segment twice and with a Cathe stretch, workout was 75" and I burned 727 calories.

I also did Classical Stretch and AM yoga with Rodney Yee. I'm off today and then I work 7 days prior to my surgery - JOY!

Have great workouts everyone.

(ETA - I answered questions about my surgery on yesterday's thread -- in case you ladies didn't see it and think I'm blowing you off).

- Doing STS without disc is labor intensive, but I certainly don't miss the dvd's when I am working out. And I don't find KB surge any more repetitive than other cardio workouts that build combos. If anything I find it less repetitive than most of Amy's workouts because you don't keep putting finished combos together.

I am finally getting on here. This morning I only had time for 4Day Split HIS cardio before I had to go to dd's. Then taking care of business items and bringing the children back here to make some macaroni and cheese chowder from a book I bought called kids favorites made healthy. They loved it. Hopefully tomorrow morning I can get in a good workout. I want to do Slo Mo chest, biceps, and triceps along with some abs and cardio.

Shana, I like our new place. It is starting to look more like home as I get the boxes out of here. When we get a fence it will be nice. I have to put the dog out on a tie out right now. But she stays inside most of the time anyway.

Just finished tonight's workout. I did Tracey's High Intensity Step Mix II combos 1-4, abs, then abs, back and chest from Body Max II. Now to shower and finish up my work before tomorrow.
