HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR FRI DEC 10

Today I did Intensity plus the bootcamp portion, tomorrow I am going to do High Reps for the first time, any input from those who have done it?

Roselyn-how did you like Intensity?

Yesterday I did Strength in Motion, it's kettlebell workout consisting of 3 rounds w/ seven exercises each. You perform the moves for 30 sec with equal rest. It was snatches, planks, squats, figure 8 to hold, etc...Again, I am so pleased with the low impact nature of this rotation. :D Today and tomorrow are rest days unless I get some type of wild hair  I hope everyone is gearing up for a great weekend.

Anyone hear from Linda? I sent her a message on FB but she has not responded.

Well, today was suppose to be cardio but it's TTOM and it's really hitting me hard. Yesterday I had a horrible headache and cramps all day and it wasn't that much better this morning. I couldn't even imagine jumping around so I am just calling this an unscheduled rest day.

Tomorrow I will do my shoulder superset workout and then do at least 30 minutes of cardio. By then I should be ok.

Hope you all have a great Friday!!!

Roselyn - I sort of previewed Intensity last night (while folding laundry and stuff). Would also love to hear what you thought.

Theresa - I've wondered about Linda, too. Read some stuff about the correlation between shoulder problems and carpel tunnel - made me think of her and hope she's ok. Enjoy your rest days - you sure earned them this week :) . By the way, was curious about which Nike's you were thinking about getting. I need a lower impact rotation (like yours) so I quit wearing out my tennies so darn fast

Debbie - TTOTM can sure knock you off your feet - don't know why sometimes it's so much worse than others (hormones are so complicated). I really wonder if we aren't more susceptible to injury and stuff during cramps - almost messed up my back once doing squats - got a cramp when I was in 'the hole' and it went right into a spinal erector - what great fun  Glad you're taking it easy - look forward to seeing your workout tomorrow :)

Diane Sue - Cocoa Pebbles. Same thing as the brand you mentioned, I think -- just a different cartoon character. Those are the one's DS loved. I always thought the milk left AFTER the cereal's gone was the best part -- especially if it's CHOCOLATE milk :p (Fade to Barbara Streisand's version of "Memories" in background).

Yesterday, I did Plyo Cardio Circuit. Also realized I didn't get the abs program in this week, so I am technically not done with the first month of Insanity until I do that. It's short - I'll get it in today. Hoping to also do Meso 3 bi's, shoulders and tri's. I'm waiting to hear from my pop (he's in town for awhile today) to see how my schedule for today will unfold. I'm not sure when/where I'll fit a workout in unless it's late tonight. Sure would like to try out some more of the new Cathe's -- may have to wait, as I've got this new rotation pretty set. However, it is not set in stone

Hi to Cheryl, Teddy and Hermia and Linda??? and -- anyone else? Have a good day.

Lori

This morning I started with hock Cardio MMA Kickbox w/up and the first two rounds 31 min, 200 calories, max hr 148. I followed this with High Reps Upper Body which surprisingly did not have back, it had abs, so I added the back 48 minutes 265 calories. I finished off with Kimberly Sprenes Cardio Combat Surge Bar Strike mix with a 9lb bar, 32 min, 221 calories max hr 151. I chose that mix because I think it hits the upper body a little more. Total time was 1hr51 min and calories burned 689.

High Reps upper ( I won't post reps for most as there is lots of reps, rep ranges, and pulses)
shoulders- barbell overhead press 31lb upright rows 31lb, lat raise 10lb dumbbells, Rear Delts 10lb dumbbells, band rotations
biceps- dumbbell's with a band tried 8's and started over with 3's, hammer curls 15lb dumbbells, barbell curls 35lb
triceps- overhead extensions 10lb dumbbells, tricep extensions with band both arms, lying extensions 15lb both arms, dips with dumbbells
chest- push ups 8 regular 12 faster repeat, flys 12#, push ups 2/2 count 4 reps repeat 3 times
abs
back add on- overhand triple barbell rows 45lb, 1 arm rows with band and dumbbell 15#, underhand barbell rows 45#, 1 arm dumbbel and band rows 15#, band y's and band t's

Lori-Nice workout and here's the link to the ones I am considering....they just went on sale :D

Debbie-wise to rest and I hope it eases up soon. You won't make tremendous strength gains at ttotm time anyway, so it won't hurt to rest up. When it gets that bad, I have to do the same. this one (knock on wood) was not horrid. I would take Advil right before I worked out and by the time I was done, my cramps were gone. Now if I work out and don't take advil at ttotm, the cramps are HORRID :(

Diane Sue-how weird that there was no back on the upper premix, wth?

My eats were pretty good yesterday. Still having the cereal issue. It is gone now and I am not going to buy more. (unless the grandkids are going to be here and beg) They like it when I make homemade waffles or pancakes which is not such a good thing but I usually use a recipe from one of my clean eating books. I checked my tracking and my Rapid Fire should be here today. It has left our local post office:D

B-Schwann's golden fruit blend with Gaspari Vanilla whey, kefir and almonds
L-turkey, pork, portabello, and spinach meatballs with Schwann's mediterranean vegetable blend
S- raisin bran
D- Clean Eating Magazine Quinoa and White Bean Chili( I don't really care for this one so much. I think it needs some onions or garlic or something. I only made half a recipe.)

So far I have made 3 of the soups from this issue. The only one I really liked well enough to make again is the Curried Chicken and Cauliflower soup

Roselyn, that is a good workout. That is how I did it the first time:D I like High Reps. I did the entire workout Wednesday. I like the additions with the band and weight. It has quite a bit of lower body in it. You do lower then a couple of upper then back to lower, ending with abs. The last lower segment is with a gliding disc and no weight.

Debbie, sorry you didn't up to the cardio. But a rest day and doing some tomorrow with your weights sounds like a good idea.

Theresa, I bookmarked those shoes. I am not really in the market just yet but they sound like they would be good and the price is good. I need to go back and read the reviews. I need toe room. I like the velcro strap idea for fit. They are crosstrainers, right? I have wondered about Linda too. I thought she was mending quickly. I hope nothing went wrong.

Lorie, I like Cocoa Krispies too:) I cannot get new workouts and leave them sit to finish a rotation. I would either fit them in with the rest by using the premixes or do both or just change it up. I was thinking if I got Rapid Fire and Lower Body Blast I would try them both tomorrow:D

Theresa - Thanks for the link. That IS a good price :) .

Diane Sue - It has been so hard. I have done only ONE of the new Cathe workouts. Unusual for me to wait, but I was pretty focused on my Insanity commitment ... ... ... You know, I've gotten more used to the name of that series, and usually don't notice the way it sounds to talk about it like this but sometimes, it still makes me laugh. The way some of those sentences come out - I wouldn't want just anyone to see them. And yes -- I bet you WOULD do them both if they came at the same time. Don't doubt that for a minute ;) I probably will do Intensity during my Insanity recovery week. After previewing it, I REALLY want to try it.
