*~*~*Happy Independence Day MELTERS*~*~*

You mean she's not 25???!!!???? :) Holy smokes, lady. What kinda water you be drinkin? I gotta get me some. ;)

Robin - glad to hear the little one is doing well! You know, I'm not an expert or anything, but you're dealing with a subject that is near and dear to my heart! I worked with developmentally delayed pediatrics for 8 years or so. Feel free to ask questions, bounce ideas, or whatever! You probably have a great group of therapists, so you may not need it. Just offering it up. I'd be glad to help in any way I can. Life is precious. And he's one lucky little man to be loved so dearly!!!! That's the most important thing - and what a wonderful blessing he is!

*blushes furiously* oh hush, the whole lot of you!:p I think the lighting must have been "just right", because I can assure you, I most certainly do not look 25. But hey, I'll take compliments where I can get 'em.;) You guys are the best. It was a fabulous time!

Robin's little Greyor is an absolute doll, big dark eyes, so cute!:)

I just got done with the gym. Did a leg workout and cardio. So this is what I am thinking? I would love to build myself a very nice muscular arse this summer. To me, nothing is sexier than a nice round big ole' bootay. For those of you who already have that sort of butt, I salute you!
Then,I want to keep training my shoulders and back heavier because those muscles look so pretty when they are developed nicely on a girl.

Next, I want to keep my legs hard too, not bigger, harder which might be tough considering I want to build a bigger, more muscular butt.

Arms will be trained with high reps, few sets, I do not want anymore size at all on my arms. Abs trained the same, but might add some weights to my crunches to challenge and see if I can build a little more muscle in this area.

So how to do this?? What sort of workouts, especially lower body? I need to add alot of hill work on the treadmill for sure, that ought to develop the glutes, while keeping the legs trim...hum, any ideas?

You should see all the people out here! Everyone has pitched their tents, and have all the grills out, its crazy. I had no idea the 4th is so dang popular here in SD! We weren't here last year, its nutso, plus it smells really good.:9 Hope you all are having a great day!

Hi again. :7

I really don't have time for personals because actually I'm supposed to be sending emails to people I want to use as references for a job I'm applying for, to ask them for permission. I need to get busy, hop in the shower, and get on over to Mom's wingding.

But of course I couldn't resist coming by to see what's going on.

I love this place, ladies. I just want to tell you (again) that you're a very special bunch.

Oh, and I saw the most beautiful black and yellow butterfly flitting about my yard today! She was huge! I've never seen one that big. I was drying dishes and saw her flit by. I had to climb up on the counter so I could see out the window better. So I just sat on my knees on the countertop for a few minutes and enjoyed it. :7

Okay. Gotta get moving. Later taters.

Hi everybody - Missed you all this morning. We went to the 4th of July parade, and are going to our neighbors for supper and then on the boat to watch the fireworks.

Tneah - you seriously made me tear up. I love what you said about the military. My little boy (20) is in the Marines and has been to Iraq once already and will probably go two more times. He was over for seven months and I worried about his constantly. My ex was in the Navy and we lived in Oak Harbor, Washington, on that base. I don't know if that is the one you were talking about, but it was beautiful there.

Allison - I hope you feel better. You must feel pretty crappy if you don't want to go out with boytoy.

Hi to everyone else.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. BBL.

Oh, Shannon, you are SUCH a gem! I loved reading your description of watching that beautiful butterfly from your counter! You're right that we have a very special group of women here. I hope you have fun at the folks', and be sure to give your parents extra big hugs!

Peggie -- What a touching thing about your son! I saw on your Picturetrail that he was in the military. What a great smiley image, too!

Tneah -- Seriously, babe, you look smokin' and young, and you are beautiful outside, but especially inside! Ah, yea, I think San Diegans love any excuse to be at the beach BBQing! Enjoy those wonderful smells!

BG -- Love the avatar! Do those feet belong to you and DH?:)

Allie -- Hope you are feeling better, sweetie!

We just got done cleaning up the BBQ and picking up squished plums that we couldn't rescue in time from the tree. :-( Poor plums. I hate to have waste like that.

Love to all my Melty ladies! To repeat what Shannon said, you all are such a special bunch! I might not get a chance to get back here today, so hope you all have wonderful days and evenings ahead of you! {{{HUGS}}} and :* 's!!

ETA: Sorry this is sooo long!!

Okay, so I’m finally back! It took me forever to read everything from this week. Forgive me if my remarks are random-ish since they may relate to things you said days ago. :) I guess I don’t mind being an “expanding melter” as long as that makes no reference to my behind! :) Also, I have to say that I’m happy to see that you all remained boobie-obsessed. I love the Melty Mascot. http://planetsmilies.net/obscene-smiley-1023.gif[/img]

Leanne – Cathe would LOVE one of your beautiful bracelets!!! Sounds like you did a bit of retail therapy online this week. Which Nike capris did you order? I ordered those cute Nike Funky Vibe cropped pants in the Nike store in Chicago; the girl said I got the last pair in the warehouse. I hope they actually come and that they fit. :) Sounds like BIL is being a bit of a pain! BTW, I got to go in a Trader Joe’s in Chicago. I loved it – wish we had them here. I bought more Fage today at the store – I couldn’t resist; it is unbelievably delicious (and expensive!!!). Yea for getting your plane ticket!!! How was the family BBQ? That cake sounds yummy!! I did make the card – I’m glad you liked it.

Shelley – How were your days off? I did iTread 6; DH & I both did it. I loved it. I work a lot harder that way than on my own; DH doesn’t really like it very much. I’d love to see pics of your garden; the stream and waterfall sound beautiful. We have a small pond (water feature) that my DH built. It’s so nice to sit out there and hear the water. I’m sorry your head is a Pandora’s Box of issues, concerns, etc. I can completely relate.

Shannon – I know you’re gone for today, but I hope you read this tomorrow. I absolutely love how you take the time to appreciate the beauty of nature and our world! And I love how you share it with us in a way that we can envision it! Thank you! How was the shindig at your mom’s? Did she have homemade ice cream??? yum! I love the idea of sandals on the elliptical – my feet go to sleep, too. I think I might try my Tevas. I guess I’m thankful those kids didn’t smash anything. Why do kids think it’s fun to tear up someone’s stuff? DH commented that these kids were actually artistic in the job they did, and they kept the tp low in the trees so it wasn’t too bad to clean up and shouldn’t harm the trees. I don’t think I mentioned that they also included silly string and a chalk message on the driveway – “Happy 4th of July!” Yeah, thanks! Good luck on the job hunt!

Tneah – WOW – you look amazing!!!! Your life on the boat sounds so cool and romantic! I’m so jealous that you and Leanne get to meet!! Y’all have FUN! I have a hilarious mental picture of you on your pink bike with your hat. When you figure out how to build that arse, please share. I think mine is genetically destined to be flat and droopy. :(

Allison – YEA for your very fun weekend (last weekend – I’m way behind! ;)) YEA! for your new boyfriend!! And YEA for your new car!!! It is super cute! This has been a very exciting week for you! How was the picnic?

Kara – I’m sorry I missed you before you left, but, in case you are checking, I hope you have a nice trip!!

Lainie – Hope your party is wonderful!!! Post pics of the patio.

Deb – How are you and the little spitfire? Did you do anything fun to celebrate the 4th?

Jennifer – Hi! How was the kayaking? Sounds lovely! Did you have any damage from the storm?

Robin – I hate that 80% diet concept – that just makes it all so frustrating. Working out takes a lot of time and energy to be only 20% of the equation. I guess I understand it, but I still don’t like it. It sounds like you have some great weekends planned. I’m sorry about your DD’s BF’s loss. I hope you have a nice visit with Tristan.

Peggie – Hi, and welcome to you, again! I would LOVE to work for the FBI! Lawyer TV shows & movies are also not very realistic! :)

BreckGirl – Welcome, again! I love dichroic glass – I’d love to learn to make glass beads! Where do you live in Texas??? I’m pretty new to this group, too, and they are all just awesome, caring women! I’m sorry you had a health scare this week, but I’m soooo happy it was a false alarm! You deserved that ice cream!

I hope you are all enjoying 4th of July festivities (Shelley, I'm glad you had a nice Canada Day. :)). We are just hanging out – having salmon, baked sweet potatoes, asparagus, and watermelon for dinner. I’m trying to have us all eat really well this week b/c we ate a lot of delicious, rich, not-so-clean food in Chicago.

I'm glad to be home and all caught up!

Well, I'm pooped. http://planetsmilies.net/tired-sleeping-smiley-17380.gif I can't believe I'm so tired considering how few party guests we had. Really, it was kind of sad. But we had a good time anyway. And now we have a ton of leftovers. The only people to show up were the family who used to own our house and a single Chinese girl who works on Brian's team. Some party, eh? Luckily (Helen, the Chinese girl) seemed to like kids and seemed to find mine particularly cute (of course) so I hope she had a good time. My friend Jill and I talked to her quite a bit as well. I can't believe we had such bad turnout. Brian expected more--he had more yeses who didn't come and some tentative yeses he wasn't sure about. Oh well. Jill and her family were the only local people invited--a lot of the invitees live in Jersey or Manhattan.

Still, the good news is the house is the cleanest it's been in a long time. :)

Also, we've got lots of leftover food (though it's mainly of the burgers, chips, cokes, and beer variety--burgers are very hard to eat with my braces and I don't even try chips). I won't have to worry about buying that crap for Brian for a while, though.

I really should do some personals but I'm all talked out after these few paragraphs and all the chatting earlier today. I'm an introvert so I need to decompress quietly now. I do want to add to the warm fuzziness and say this is a great group of women--strong, beautiful, warm-hearted women and I wish all of you were coming to the August RT! (Oh, and tomorrow, remind me to describe what else I've been buying--my credit card is hot-rodding the internet again.)

Good Evening ( I can't believe I typed that!:) ), & Happy 4th!

I just thought I would drop in to see how everyone was doing and what exciting things were going on today..I actually thought there would hardly be anyone here.. but I was wrong! DH and I took lunch to my father today, just subs, salads, and brownies. We brought a lot so he would have leftovers.. he is not a cook by any means! We took the 2 dogs, plus there was my father's dog, and the neighbors dog.. it was a "dog gone picnic"! :+

Shelly:
Thanks for starting us out today! I loved the comment about .."it's not the 4th for you.."...if it's not the 4th, what is it? LOL! Yeah for you and getting out early today!

Breckgirl:
I like all the I-treads that I have.. I do the 30, 35, or 40 min ones.. the only 60 min one I have is an outdoors one. I like #27 Drills a lot. Which track is it that drives you crazy? I know that it is hard to tell.. but which one is it on? What drives me crazy ( and Tneah can attest to this) is how Grace's timing is always off! She says 20 seconds to go and it's actually 5 seconds, or she says we will be doing something for 5 minutes, and it's actually 3 minutes..you probably know this already! Do you have the one where she calls herself the "follywood girl"?

Robin:
The voice of a lovely, confident woman! How was the cookout?

Kristi:
Tell us all about the trip!

Allison:
You are too young for night sweats!:( Did you get a nap in today?

Shannon:
You are tempting me to get CC #8..I would do it with a HRM though so I could make sure I was in the right color zone! RPE just is not enough "measureing" for me! I did that special way to measure you maximum heart rate.. mine came up as 170, but all the other zone measurements for the CC zones seem too low. Do you use these zones like they have on the site? Glad you stopped to watch that butterfly! The wonders of life!

Tneah:
Happy 4th to you too! I hope George was ok with the fireworks! Love the pics...you look gorgeous! You and your DH are such a great couple!

Leanne:
No sleeping in here...up again at 4:00, no workout, DH took Keegan out and let me go back to sleep, the dear!..How was your BBQ?

Lainie: Hi.. hope your party went well..

Here is a pic to say Happy 4th to all my Melty friends

Deb

Hi,
Lainie -- I'm sorry you didn't have a bigger crowd at the party, but it sounds like you're looking on the bright side! I'm an introvert, too, so I totally understand your need to decompress and reenergize quietly. It's so easy to be outgoing online, but in person can be really draining IMO. Can't wait to hear about your shopping!

Deb -- Your picture is absolutely adorable -- thanks so much for posting it!!! Your "dog gone picnic" sounds great! I think we did just about everything there is to do in Chicago (for a tourist:)). We saw Blue Man Group, Wicked (& a behind the scenes tour), and 2d City comedy group. My DDs loved them all because they are all so different. We went to the Museum of Science & Industry, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, and the Adler Planetarium. All were good, but my DDs liked the 1st one best. We ate pizza at 3 different places and several other great meals. We went to Navy Pier, and my DDs shared our opinion that it's a bit of a cheesy tourist trap. And we shopped a lot. My DDs got a lot of cute new clothes for school, and I got a few things for myself. On our way to lunch on the first day (after we arrived at 9:30 AM), we passed an art fair in the street, and we bought a large painting for our family room (poppies to match the new red leather chair) and I got some big wire heart earrings. We just love fairs like that. (DH was quite a site getting the painting through security at the airport yesterday. ;)) We also stumbled into two different farmers' markets and got some goodies. I was wishing for those when I paid excessive prices for mediocre produce in my local store today. We went up in the Sears Tower, walked through Millenium Park, etc., etc. It's really nice to travel with my DDs at the age they are b/c they are so much more independent than little kids. For example, we were able to leave them in the hotel while we went running on the lake. It was really a great trip! Thanks for asking! I'm going to put photos on my Picture Trail, and I'll let y'all know when I've done that.

"See" you all in the morning!
