Happy birthday to my boy!!!

Happy Birthday, Baloo! You are one handsome guy!

I see he's ready for a boot camp workout in photo 1.
Must have just had some of his BD cake in pic 2.

(I saw the name before I saw the photo, and was thinking "yep, some people do give their kids strange names! LOL!)
 
Lorie I love these pics. I work in a veterans hospital and I'm sure tthe vets would love to see a lab in army-fatigues...can I print it out?
 
He is really a love. I have five dogs and I adore them all but I call Baloo my "souldog" (like soulmate). My heart jumped out of my chest and onto him the minute I saw him when he was three months old. He and I are very attuned to each other.

He was "bought" from a homeless man in a really, really bad neighborhood for $20. A friend of mine saw him wandering around the parking lot of a liquor store and offered a man $20 for him. He has been a dream (as are all my babies)! He is truly a mama's boy!

Kathryn, funny you should say that about boot camp! Baloo has to be right by me whenever I workout. The others come and go but he stays the whol time. He is also my running partner and has run up to 7 miles with me before.

He got his name from Baloo the Bear in "The Jungle Book" because when he was little he looked just like a little bear. His foster dad named him and it stuck.

Oh how cute! He looks like he is smiling in the 2nd. pic. (I imagine he is since it IS his birthday! :7) Scratch his ears for me!

My big baby boy is my "soulmate" to .. know what you mean .. he runs w/me too .. well he trots I run .. LOL!!! but when I exercise inside he tries to stop me b/c he wants my full attention .. picture doing sit ups w/a 130 # dog trying to lick on you and roll you w/his face!! LOL

I know you are one proud "mom" .. :D
 
Happy Birthday Baloo! Lorie, you know what this means right? I am going to have to eat cake and ICE CREAM in his honor tonight.
