Happy 4th of July Ladies.

Grill chicken, lean steak, shrimp, salads, watermelon...who will be keeping it clean today?:D

No looking at the trainers did not wipe me out yesterday ladies.lOL
It was the cleanmax. We ended up having 12 bags of junk to throw out and 2 large black bags of cloths to donate (2009 taxes }( ). And we are still not finished.

I spoke to the investor who is interested in buying the house and everything he said about the housing market I already knew. You see my house is worth 450 grand but because of all the foreclosures the house went down to 350. He said that people who are buying houses now are not going to pay 350 but instead will look for a foreclosed house that the bank is selling for 150.

The reason why there are so many foreclosed homes in NYC is because some people who brought houses 3 or 4 years ago took out a morgage of 400 grand but now can't sell them because the house is only worth 300 grand for example. So they would have to sell their houses and give the bank another 100 grand. Well if they just lost their job....

That's why the house down the block and been on sale for over a year. No one is going to pay full price for it. Is this going on in your state too?

Oh I almost forgot.

No Workout but more packing-max. Now I know what you went though Katie.

b-oatmeal and blueberries
l-grill chicken kabob and veggies
d- a neighbor invited us over but it's going to rain so we will see.

I going to take the kids to the movies today. I want to see the new movie with Will Smith but my crazy kids want to see something else.

Robin, Sorry about the housing woes. Houses aren't moving around here either. PackMax sounds like a good workout to me! I hope the rain stays off for you guys - it'll be nice to not have to plan to cook dinner after working on the house all day.

Mike is home today so yay to that. The girls are drivin' me NUTS lately!
No big plans for us other than going to SIL's house tonight for supper - booooooooooo!!! She's a horrible cook and she's realy wierd. Nuff said.

Not sure on a workout. Maybe more Leslie Sansone (I can't believe I just said that!), hopefully some weights of some kind. I did get in some CS last night late, hopefully some more CS today.

Won't bother posting a menu as I have NO CLUE, but I've done really well the last couple days so I'm motivated to keep it up today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

YAY for the neighbor's unsecured wireless internet connection! Woooohoooo!

I am here at my mom's and we are having fun. We arrived about 8 pm last night. Today will be pool max, out to dinner, then fireworks somewhere, we haven't decided yet.

Have a great day everyone!

Robin, packing SUCKS! Make the most of it!!
Kate, enjoy the extra day with the family!

Morning clean peeps

Happy 4th to all of you. We had Canada day Tuesday, so the Canadian holidays are done!

Robin, I thought the housing market in NY was crazy. I watch those property shows, and Miranda from Sex and the city live in Brooklyn!
I hear that Wall-e movie is really good, maybe the kids are too old for that?

Kate, Mike can take the girls, and you can rest! and workout, or just do whatever you please! BTW, i finally have the plumber coming to fix that toilet of mine over the weekend!

Katie, you steel that connection, its more imporant you talk to us :)
Sounds like a lovely day planned, enjoy

Happy 4th ladies,

Kate Happy Anniversary!! I too find the BM2 w/u long and boring. Kind of dreadful. I like the power circuits. And the Rick Springfield song.

Robin my MIL has family in PR and the kids are the same age as Shelby. They used to live here and Shelby loves them and misses them.

That Will Smith movie looks good. I like his movies. Maybe the kids will change their minds.

Steph WOW on those trainers, HOT HOT HOT!! How do you focus girl?

Colleen do you get the weekend off?

Katie enjoy your mini vacation at moms.

I have no plans today. I think StepSweatfest, laundrymax, cleanmax, pay bill max, maybe golf tonight with DH and friends if it doesn't rain. Menu is a clueless mess.

Hi Shirl and Shelley.

Jenn

Hi Everyone!

Happy 4th of July! DH is working today and then we are going to a friend's house for dinner. I am going to go to Target this morning to get some supplies. I really hope it is not packed. Our Target is so big it is 2 floors and you have to park in a parking garage. Having 2 floors in Target is fun because they have a cart escalator which is really neat.

Robin, the housing market here is slow too but in my immediate area I have seen houses sell really quickly for their asking price. I was really amazed.
Kate, it would be good for Mike to spend some time with the girls today so you can rest. Isn't a mother's favorite day of the year the first day of school?
Katie, glad you were able to get an internet connect. We always forget the password to our wireless connection and my Mom's. We finally wrote them down.
Steph - {{{HUGS}}} Enjoy dinner tomorrow. Let us know how the falafal burgers are. I am getting tired of the morningstar farms grillers.

w/o is either Imax 3 or HISM 2
b: oatmeal w/ almonds
rest of day is tbd.

Jenn, you snuck in on me. Hope you are able to golf tonight. We're supposed to get the rain tomorrow.

Katie, LOL on your connection!:D Sounds like you guys have a great day planned - have fun!!!

Steph, Glad you're getting the toilet relief!:+ And Mike just left with the girls to do a quick errand. aaaahhhhhh....the house is quiet! I love my girls to pieces but it's been a loooong week! I hope all goes well at your mom's tomorrow. Is Christian going to be at home for any of the weekend? I'm cleanmaxing today too.

Jenn, thanks for the a'day wishes! Mike came home with hot pink flowers for me and a card. I felt bad I didn't do anything for him. Well, nothing tangible anyway!!!}( }( :D I'm sure Shelby will have a blast! Hope you and DH get a golf date tonight.

Colleen, Your Target sounds AMAZING!!! WOW am I jealous! Have fun this weekend!

---------------------
Had my Kashi and banana for breakfast. Also a couple bites of the homemade SINammon rolls I made for the fam. My little indulgence for the day - the rest will be clean! Baby liked it - she's thumpin' around!:)

Not long til RT girls!!!!

Hey everyone,

I'm relatively new around here. Have been lurking for about 9 months or so but never really got connected. I'm really starting to try to figure out how clean eating can work for me and my family. Recently got a copy of clean eating mag and Tosca's books and just trying to work in what is realistic. My DH is open to less processed food but doesn't want to eliminate "good" things like cookies, pancakes, butter that he still considers "natural."

I've been doing Cathe workouts for about a year but not consistently enough (and not eating well enough) to notice the difference I'm looking for. Would really love to have some daily support and be part of this group.

I know it's an odd day to join - being a holiday and all but whenever you all get a chance, I would love to hear anything about your typical menus/workouts etc. I'm still learning all the abbreviations and such. :)

A little about me - we live in AZ (transplanted from IL 3 years ago with my husband's job). Was born and raised in Chicagoland suburbs. Planning a move to France (!) in the next couple of months. Have a 3.5 year old and 2 year old daughter. Have always been fitness minded so always in "decent" shape but never really where I want to be - of course except for right before I got pg with my first daughter! Tee hee.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all.

Happy 4th!
angie

Welcome Angie!!!

So glad to have you join us. We all try out best, but the support is wonderful.

Girls, should we give Angie an intro?

My name is Stephanie, live in Toronto. Cathe workouts for years now, vegetarian. Try to eat as healthy as i can, but believe we all figure out what works for us over time. Husband (well, if you've read, you'd know!), 2 dogs, no kids. I work as a dietititan here.
France sounds just wonderful, you may get visitors though :)

Kate, are the girls back? I hope you're enjoying some time to yourself. And there is no Cin in cinnamon :)
Steph

Wow 2 floors of Targets Colleen!

Kate try doing Leslie with 1# wrist weights to challenge yourself a little more.

Steph (WE) hmmmmmm :D and strawberry shortcake is a nice light treat.

Jenn are you good at golfing?

Welcome Angie. My name is Robin and I live in Queens NY. I work full time and have 2 kids. I've been working out for a few years but recently (1 year ago) starting to challenge myself with Cathe, Amy Bento and Tracey workouts. I try to eat low carb and clean but I'm not always successful. For daily support you've come to the right place. Angie did you pre-order STS?

Well my DD ate my left over chicken breast so now I'm going to eat for lunch some chicken soup and crackers.

Robin, sorry you had to give up your chicken to your kids. Hope the soup was good.
Kate, glad you got some quiet time. I know you love your girls but being around anyone all the time is a lot.
Angie, welcome. My name is Colleen and I live outside of Washington, DC in Maryland. I work for a government contractor as a project manager for software development. I am married but no kids or dogs. I found Cathe a few years on FitTv and now I workout with Amy, Tracey and Cathe. Generally I have cereal for breakfast, grilled chix sandwich or salad for lunch and dinner always changes. Snacks are usually fruit, veggies, nuts and/or cheese.

Colleen

Colleen a 2 floor Target how awesome.

Robin I'm okay at golf. DH is an avid golfer and used to give lessons so he gives me pointers when we are out there. I can basically hit the ball but stink at short game.

What movie are you seeing?

Hi Angie Welecome! I've been working out with Cathe for about 2 years also discovered her on FitTV. I also use Amy and Tracey my other 2 fav instructors. I do good with fitness but my lack with eating. I try. I am 37, work full time for the postal service, married 3.5 years. I have one stepdaughter who is 10.

Kate I'm sure Mike enjoyed his a'day present. }(

Jenn

Welcome Angie! None of us want to give up the "good" things either! Everything in its place, they say! WOW - France! I went to Paris for a week to translate for someone I knew back in high school. Does your family speak French? I am a stay-at-home mom to 2 girls, Gina 6, Isabel 4. Another girl is on the way! DH is a self-employed plumbing contractor so I help with that too, tho I haev been scaling back a lot with the baby coming. as far as menu, I eat a lot of salads and breakfast is almost always a boel of cold cereal and some fruit. I like to follow Cathe's rotations but since I've been preg I kinda just do whatever my body feels like doing and am looking forward to STS kickin' my butt into shape post-partum!

Fam is waiting for me - brief now~

Hey Steph! I got a LOT done today!

Robin, Thanks for the weights tip!

Colleen, Are you enjoying your day off? How bad was the damage at Target!?

Robin, Glad you did good at the BBQ. I did not. Meal was clean but I had a piece of cake and way too much puppy chow. I feel pretty gross right now.

Time for some cardio to burn it off! hangs head in shame......Leslie Sansone 4 Fast miles (1 hour) I can't believe I'm actually doing this workout. again!

Thanks for all the intros! Nice to meet you ladies! I haven't ordered STS yet... still debating. I'm not sure what I think I need. I'm a little nervous it might be a lot like P90X which I think was a great workout but just too boring for me. What do you guys think?

I have 4DS and BM2 and have recorded all the ones that run on Fit TV (how I found Cathe) but those frustrate me because it cuts things out! So I want to buy all the "real" versions but that could put me into debt! :)

Anyway, still considering STS...

Just finished my Leslie..... the good news is that is doesn't hurt my ligaments a bit. makes Mike happy that the impact is lower.

Angie, I've never done P90x. I don't want to spend that much money when I don't have any clue of I'll like the instructor. Personally, I can't wait for STS. I would want the "real" cathes too! But, yes, buying all of them would get spendy. Got a birthday coming? DH could get some for you or a gift card.

Looking forward to a relaxing night ahead.... Sleep tight!
